Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Cinco de Mayo (or Happy May5th)

I never even knew what this holiday was about!!! Until this year!!!

It's a celebration of the Mexican Heritage. On May 5th the Frenchman invaded Mexico....Well Mexico won on this day. And they have celebrated Cinco de Mayo ever since! They celebrate with dancing and a lot of good food!

On the History Channels's website there is a nice video of the Cinco de Mayo. There is actually one for every holiday. They tell the story of how it started! It's really neat!

THAT'S RIGHT 1 MORE WEEK!!!!

I've been thinking about it all morning. By next tuesday we'll be in sunny florida. It's pouring and very windy here today at 52 degrees. So i'm waiting! And it's 12:00pm right now, so we'll probably be eating lunch at the all star movies food court, sipping out of our refillable mugs at this time, getting ready to change into our bathing suits to go swimming!!!!! And all the while i'll be waiting to go over to the Magic Kingdom

I was at the disney store on sat. they had this really cute bathing suit. I didnt look at it that good cause i could not buy it so i admired it from the hanger!!!

You know how i called about the kids eat stay and play for free and they temporary booked my trip well im still getting mail from disney. I got the planning dvd today. Got the maps and the paper stating what hotel im staying at. If they send me me tags im going!!!!

I know, I can't believe I can say that i'm going to Disney next week. The excitement level here is so insane!! In a good way though!!
Anthony was just texting Manny, he is so excited right now. I feel bad, we're not picking him up this weekend, so he can spend time with his Mom on Mother's day before we leave, so he is all excited at home, but nobody else is over there, of course! He just sent a text that said "Good night, C U on Monday for Florida!!!!

So we went to pick up my Mom and went to the Mall!!! We had so much fun, we were in the Disney store for an hour. Needless to say 2 of the bathing suits need to be switched for a different size. I'll be doing that in the morning, then I will post pics of them. The Minnie mouse ones that match Lizzie and Sam's hats and flip flops are awesome. The girls just kept picking things up and wanting everything. The lady working there thought they were so funny. She asked if we were going to Disney and she was telling the girls there is going to be so much to buy there. She said there is even a Disney Store in the airport Oh my lord, They are going to want EVERYTHING!!!!! I was hoping they had pins and lanyards, that's where I got my Mickey lanyard, but they were all out!
After our Disney store excursion we went up to the foodcourt and ate Burger King! YUM YUM!!!

We stopped at Walmart on the way home because I needed some more school snacks for the week, and I picked up a few more snacks for the hotel and some crystal lite packets for our water!

Ok, so I was back at the Disney store this morning because I misjudged sizes! I had to swich Lizzie's , only they didn't have the Minnie Mouse one is her size, bummer, so I had to pick something else. Which is what she wanted last night anyway!

And I had to just return Emily's , it did not fit right, and we are going to go up to Sears this weekend and have her pick one there. The one we bought her last night did not look right on her , and that was the only one that she liked, there was hardly a selection left for her size.

Here is her hat and sunglassed, her flip flops are at the bottom of the suitcase, I tried to reach for them, but NO!!

So 1 more trip up to the mall this weekend and hopefully that will be it! I believe I have everything that we need, and more Oh, I do need to get 3 more lanyards though. They had cute ones at home depot, they're just going to have to settle for non disney ones. They have pink ones with pirate skulls on them. I really don't think they'll care. I certainly don't have time to order any!

WELL.............6 MORE DAYS UNTIL DISNEY WORLD...........

It's so unbelievable how fast the time went. It seems like I was just at 30 days out watching everyone else's tickers say 6 more days. Now it's almost our turn and I absolutely cannot wait. I have no idea how i'm going to feel when we pull up to the hotel

Oh, Ok, so we were paying for our bathing suits last night and the Disney commercial was on, on the big screen in there, ya know the one we're they're playing that song!! I wanted to start crying, I was so excited, I have no idea how i'm ever going to contain myself when we get there!! My excitement level is way too high!!

Another funny: On the way out of the parking garage at the mall last night I drove down the ramp pretty fast, it was a long one. Well there were dips in certain parts on the way down. Everytime I would go in a dip the whole truck would bounce, My Mom was in the front seat bouncing all around and I was saying "Weeeeee" and the girls were laughing and yelling!!! It was too funny. Well today on my way out, I did it.......I was alone though, and at the end of the ramp, I was laughing at myself for doing that while all alone. It's much funner with others, although I was pretty amused with the fact that I did that again just to amuse myself. When I tell my Mom later she's gonna laugh!!! Just figured i'd share my laugh of the day!! I try to get a few good ones in every day. It's good for me

Oh, I know i'm going to be in big trouble when we get there, they are going to want everything. Good thing they've been saving up their own spending money, or we'd go broke just on souveniers.

5 MORE DAYS


I just went on weather.com, and oh my word. It is HOT down there. This weekend is going to get up to 96 degrees. Holy Cow!! By the time we get there on tuesday it's saying 90 for that whole week. That's a little better. 96 really scared me

I think i'm going to go in the suitcase and take out a pair of pants for each of us and only bring 1 sweatshirt a piece. Somethings making me think we will not need them

You probably won't need them. I've travelled in May on four trips and never needed a jacket or sweatshirt. It's always 85 and above except at night it has been around 70.

Well today I wanted to finish packing. I'm all done. I'm packed. That feels great. The only things I have left to pack are my carryon things. I already have my travel documents, reciepts of everything, and confirmation numbers to everything. I just have to throw my camera, camera charger, my cell phone charger, my medicine, Lizzie's medicine, my license, credit cards and all of that good stuff in. I'm ready to go. Now I guess we just wait.

Not that i'm all ready though. I still have to go buy Emily's bathing suit on Sunday,and on monday i'll have to do more laundry and get the kids carryons packed. I already have all of that stuff in a bag, just gotta put it in their backpacks monday afternoon.

Oh, but i'm sure i'll double check my list and make sure everything is in the suitcase again, and again, and again. Better safe than sorry I guess

I still have to put my mail on hold and bring Chiclet to my Mom's house on monday. Sam was saying yesterday how much she is going to miss her bird when we go. I said oh, he'll be fine, he gets to hang out with Grammy. Plus my Mom has 2 birds, so he'll be glad to hear other birds chirping.

I can't wait for all of my Dismeets, this is going to be so much fun. I feel like I really know everyone that I've been talking with, it's so funny. When we see eachother, it's going to be like seeing an old friend

I can't wait for the AK dis meet. I so wish I was done packing. My bedroom looks like a time bomb went off. Yikes. Jason should be home in the next hour and I am not going to bed until its done. Tomorrow I need to do the bank and all the last minute items. We head out at 7 am on Saturday.
