YoHo, YoHo, A Mother's Day Trip to the Mouse!

We already have a flu pandemic in our town...there are so many kids out of school. Nothing saying it is the swine flu, just the same ole same in this town. I only wish I could keep Austins hands out of his mouth. I started the Dh and I on Ester C. I have heard amazing things about it. Jenny's drinks the Emergen C you can find at Target. She thinks its Tang or Lemonade. Shh! Austin is just getting poly drops and juice with vitamin c. I have been stressing to Jenny washing our hands, too with warm water and soap. Ugh! We have sanitizer all over our house.

Yea, it's so hard to make kids keep their hands out of their mouths and off of their faces. But I talked to them and hopefully during school they are aware of it! Lizzie and Sam were thrilled about the purells on their backpacks, so i'm sure they'll be using them!!!!
Boy I haven't even had much time to come on here. I've been sooo busy! I work wed through saturday, but i'm working this sunday as well, I switched days with another supervisor to have next saturday off for My best friends daughter's birthday party! I also may be working on monday. So Friday May 8th as soon as the clock hits midnight, I will officially be on vacation! I am so excited. Even though that will be a busy weekend, with bday parties, baseball, and Mother's day i'm sure i'll be able to get alot done seeing how i'm not working!

Ok, so something funny. The girls sleep at my Mom's house on thursdays. My Mom said Lizzie woke up this morning, stared straight up at the ceiling like she was in some kind of trance and said "11 more days until Disney World" Oh, I LOVE IT!!!! I'm assuming she was dreaming about Disney to wake up and say that like that. Oh How I cannot wait to see their faces when we pull up to our hotel for the first time and walk into the parks for the first time. I CANNOT WAIT! ONLY 11 MORE DAYS.

There are so many people getting ready for Disney trips at work too, so we're all being very sanitary and counting down our days!!! So FUN.

I finally got our magical express tags for the second room today, I was thrilled!!! We're all ready to go now!!!!!

Pam, I keep dreaming about your family, I swear it seems like every night.........lol. It is good dreams though, it is like we have planned to spend our vacation at Disney together because everything I dream is about Disney and it is about going on rides................... Don't stess too much about the oink oink flu because the more you stress the more you lower your immunity. I have bought Dallas vitamins with immune boosters. He has always been a fanatic about washing his hands anyway. What kind of pins do I need to get for your girls? Dallas is soooooooo looking forward to pin trading. I have ordered the pins Leann and Mary said their girls like, but I need to know what your gilrs like. Dallas likes boy stuff pirates and so forth, but I really want him to have what your girls will like. Hey, this is a chance for homeschooling kids to get to know each other. And it is a chance for you to pick my brain about homeschooling. I am so excited to meet my "dream family".......lol. I gotta warn ya I have a very southern accent............... And I know I am gonna love your "I don't have an accent"................. I hope that didn't sound rude. My dad was from Brooklyn and I so miss hearing his accent. I know yours isn't the same. I hope this isn't coming across as rude, but I miss that Yankee sounding accent.................lol. OK call me a southern redneck, when you hear me talk you will say it out loud.............lol. That is what makes this country great.

As for the pins, I gotta get my kids a few more. But the girls love the princesses and tinkerbell of course. But Sam loves Pirates too. She's too funny. Lizzie loves Dumbo And Emily, of course at this age, is into Hannah Montana! Anthony, who knows, he's at the age where he is just too cool for everything. But I think once we're down there, he'll be happy with all of the Disney excitement. Unfortunately, at home with his mother, they don't do family things together, that's why he's always so excited to do things with us. They just don't do anything together, and I think he's growing up too fast.

So I can't wait to hear your accent then! Um, yea, I don't have one though



Ok, it's off to Tball for me right now!!! It rained all morning, it has stopped but the field is going to be wet and muddy and it's damp out. Sounds like i'm signed up for the FUN

Tball was awesome this morning, the girls did so great. They just love it. Next saturday i'll take my camera with me and take pics of them playing. They are so great!! We love baseball!!! Unfortunately wer're going to miss the team pictures, they are the 16th and we'll be in Disney. Oh well, i'll take that any day. I can take my own pics.

I figured i'd share our pictures from this very pretty path I discovered right around the corner from our house. Well I didn't discover it, but ya know, I never knew it was so pretty back there. And i'm sure it's even prettier when all of the flowers and trees are grown in even more.

It was a nice walk, the girls are waiting to go back, but the weather has not been nice lately, which I don't really mind though, cause it gives me a reason to stay in the house and get things done, like cleaning the kid's bedrooms which are a disaster. They need to be completetly cleaned before we go, I refuse to come back to a mess like that. I have just been so busy lately, i've been out all day getting things done, and I have been super busy at work, getting everything done before my vacation. My last day at work is friday the 8th, and I won't be back until the 21st!!! I want to make sure I get stuff done that's due over the time I am gone, and the stuff that's due the week I get back, I won't want to do much when I get back

So I called southwest airlines this morning to see if I could get a refund on My Mom's ticket. Of course the fare that we bought was non refundable. But I was talking with this lady and she was just so SUPER nice!!!! she gave me the phone number to their customer relations and she said to give them a call, they could very well give us a refund!! I really hope so, $177 would be really nice spending money!!! And if not, we definitely want to go next year, so there will be a credit waiting for us!!
I have to call them tomorrow morning, they're not open on sundays, so i'll let ya know how it goes!!!

AND......WE'RE IN THE SINGLE DIGITS TODAY!!! WOOHOO
YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THE EXCITEMENT LEVEL IS HERE TODAY, EVEN FROM ANTHONY!!! LIZZIE IS SUPER OFF THE WALL, SHE IS JUST RAMBLING!! I LOVE IT!!! ONCE THIS WEEKEND HITS AND WE'RE DOWN TO A COUPLE OF DAYS, WE'RE ALL GOING TO BE OFF THE WALL!!!!

Ok, I called southwest this morning, and no refund. She said I don't know who would have told you that, but that is not an option. Oh well, it will go toward next year's trip. More reason to tell Manny we have to go back next year or we'll lose that credit

Wow, 8 more days now!!! I am so ready to go. Emily said this morning, that this wait isn't fair, she's ready to go now. I said Emily, i've been saying that for the past 3 months!!

So last night at work I was putting together a list of things that I have to do this week. (It was slow)

Clean our bird Chiclet's cage
Clean the girl's bedrooms really well
Pick up 3 more lanyards
Call post office to hold our mail
Pick up a few more snack items for the hotel
Clear memory card
Figure out how to get pics onto the laptop(we'll be doing that in Disney)
Re-weigh the suitcases(i've since thrown more stuff in)
Pick up the girl's bathing suits at the Disney Store
Pick up Lizzie's prescription


Wow, I guess we're pretty ready, I don't really have much left to do, until next monday. Here is my list for that day:

Pack the kid's carryons
Pack the rest of everything that had to wait, like cell phone chargers, medicine, hairbrush, hairspray and hairpieces etc..
Bring Chiclet to Mom's house
Iron clothes for the next morning
Double check with the Limo
Pick up Anthony(of course)
Do laundry
Drop truck and car off at my brother's(we didn't want to leave them on the street, we don't have parking in a driveway)
Charge laptop, nintendo DSs, camera and cell phones
**And don't forget to set the alarm for 3:00am**

I'm so hoping I can get the kids to go to bed at a halfway decent time. I'm going to get up at 3am, and get myself all ready, and then get the kids up at 3:30am, i'll just let them get dressed, brush their teeth and hair, and we'll eat a little breakfast at the airport. The Limo is scheduled to pick us up at 4:00am!!!! The kids haven't even asked how we are getting to the airport yet. We're just going to go outside when it's time and let them be surprised. Although we have to drop the car and truck off monday, so we'll tell them Uncle Ricky is bringing us to the airport.

So that is my list of things to get done, I don't think it's too bad, unless there are things that i'm forgetting?!?!?! Who knows!!!

But I hope to be all done with everything by Monday afternoon, so we can just hang out and relax monday night. We'll play some guitar hero, Rent a Disney movie that we haven't seen! (Maybe Mary Poppins) We have not seen that, and I know she's in the parks! Pocahontas is another one I want them to see. Boy, I gotta go on my netflix account right now and get these movies coming.

Actually if I wasn't sitting her "dising" I could be knocking things off of my to do list But.... this is part of my to do list. I can let my excitement out here. I need to be here
And I am off from work until Wed. night, so I have today and tomorrow to get a lot done!!!!

That walking path does look like a fairy tale! How beautiful!! Have you looked at the weather for your 1st 2 days? It looks like it's going to be beautiful...and HOT! I've been checking the 10 day forcast on weather.com for the last couple of days! I think it is going to be sunny and low 90's so far! Yee Haw!

You should definitely try to take the boat from POR to DTD....gorgeous, relaxing ride.

Online check-in definitely saves time. We went right up to the online check-in window with NO WAIT. They had our room ready when we got there at 11 am and all of our keys were printed and ready to go. You'll be glad you did it.

But now that they're really clean they just need to keep putting their stuff away as they take it out, this way when we clean them up before we leave next week it will only take a few minutes.

So my best friend Brianne just called me and told me that she was putting $100.00 in the mail right now for spending money for our trip She won $500 at bingo last night and wanted to share the wealth!! She is going away also, her and her girlfriend are going to Vegas, they are leaving on Mother's day. So me and her are having fun chatting on the phone together as we clean and pack together. Although, she has OCD and her packing was driving me up a wall, and she doesn't even have kids to pack for!!! She's too funny!!!!!!

Pretty soon i'm going to cook supper and then my Mom wanted me to go over to her house to eat cake with her. My brother's girlfriend's brother in law had a bday party the other day and somehow 2 people brought cakes. So everyone knows how much my mom loves cake and my brother brought it to her house last night, so me and the girls are going to go over after supper and eat cake. Sounds good to me!!

We're going to the Disney Store tonight with my Mom after she gets out of work, she's going to get the girls their bathing suits. I can't wait to post pictures of them when I get back tonight!!!! That and anything else they sucker my Mom into while we're there!!
