I've mentioned before that the hotel name Gaylord Palms always makes me chuckle to myself. I accidentally clicked on the link to it, and it looks like a nice place.

Pete, I think it's time to change the thread name again.... just a thought.....

I've been to the Gaylord Opreyland Hotel. I think they're basically the same. If that's the case, it is really nice!

I am going there for a media convention in Sept, I can let you know how nice it is? I know they are charging $178 a night!

The Opryland Hotel actually does so well it over took the Opryland Theme park. It is very beautiful, if you can't afford to stay there, I would spend a day checking it out if you're in Nashville.

Didn't they like the theme park so well that they tore it down? I don't remember a theme park being there when I went to the mall there last year?

The Hotel took up so much room there was no room to expand the park, which became boring. So they tore it down to build the Oprymills Outlet Mall. That sent alot of business to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, they doubled their attendance.

Ah, ok. I just couldn't remember seeing a theme park there. I had been to it as a child, but it certainly was a mall last year! Lots of cool Auburn things were bought in that mall. I spent over my budget!:)

Where did you stay?

Ok you guys haven't changed thread names in awhile and for a second I was confused as to when I had subscribed to any thread dealing with Contemporary or Gaylord. :lmao:

where's renee when you need her.

Jeeesh! I definately have to redeem myself this season.

In any event. We would not shoot Bambi, even if he was real. Nor would we shoot Mommy if she was with Bambi as Bambi still needs Mommy. Now, if Daddy were there...Venison anyone?

And no, I swear I would not miss this time.:rolleyes1

I have a wonderful friend that lives in Mount Juliet that I taught with down here. We both grew up here in and went to the rival HS's. She is just shy of 30 and just had #4 in July. What a brave soul. My kid goes up there and fits right in. He is 6 days older than her second kid. It is like watching a bunch of little indians. We were thinking of going back up there this coming summer, but something just came up that might post pone that a year.
