Next order of business was singing Happy Birthday, cake and presents!!!!!!!
I love this picture of Jenn!
Somewhere during the party I broke out my Disney binder...or I should say Jenn broke out my Disney binder and showed it two of her friends.
I got to meet a lot of really great people including Jenn's uncle and her grandma. I actually met them both the first day we were there and her grandma (Grace) was at the party. All in all I have to say that Jack's third birthday party was a HUGE success!
After the party we were all tired and I do believe I took myself a little nappy on the couch again.
I think Jenn and I got to talk a bit about ADR strategy and other Disney ideas that we wanted to discuss too during the day and later after the party.
The next day we were going to The Shad Festival.
Before we left Jenn and I did some Disney planning again. We looked through our times that we wanted to make ADR's for and juggled ideas for surprises for the kids. She's got some great ones lined up!!!!
This was my first ever Shad Festival and I have to say, I had no clue what a Shad was until Jenn told me. It's a fish.
The festival was fun. It was really freaking hot so Joe and I were miserable from the heat and stupid moron me had jeans on which did not help.
We had a pulled pork sandwhich which was awesome and I mean awesome. I also had a funnel cake which was probably one of the best I have ever had.
We mosied around the festival for a while. I have to say that this part of the country is beautiful. It was so pretty and just so calming. I love the old historic areas of PA. This has to be one of my favorite areas that I have seen so far. I wish we could have spent more time just looking around the area but that will have to wait until our next visit.
Here is a picture of Joe that I took at the Festival:
Jack and Kayla made sand art while we were there too.
The kids got to meet the Geico Gecko but that picture is on the other camera...of course. Here is the picture of them in front of the blow up Gecko. Sorry, I cut his head off...........
These have got to be my two favorite pictures of Jack the day that we went to the festival.
We left the festival and went home and had a nice steak dinner. Jenn and I did some Disney planning but that was after I got my second wind. Joe and Jenn were playing Mario on the Wii (I think that is what it was) so I took my usual nap. Sometimes I think I have tv narcolepsy (or however you spell that).
We were bummed that the next day we had to head for home. Our time flew by way too fast!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Jenn gave me an awesome birthday gift while I was there too. I got scrapbooking supplies and a picture of us from last year at MNSSHP. She made the frame too and it is so dang cute. I have it in my home office which is my Disney room. I love it!!!
That's it for now. Once I get the rest of the pictures I will post more and most likely remember more of our adventure as well!
So I have to say, I am so happy and thankful to the DIS for introducing me to Jenn and to her family. We met here on the DIS and I feel like i have known her for YEARS. I'm so glad that we met and I truly feel like I have a friend for life now............Thanks DIS!
