HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!!! I HOPE IT WAS AMAZING! :cake::bday:

I hope you get a chance to go to the Rock Hall, it was awesome! Well, I've been there before (in 2005) but each time I go I know more and more about music so it becomes more interesting!!

Enjoy the rest of the birthday! weekend!!!

Aw, happy late birthday!!!!

Please be sure to let me know how you like POP; this is our first time there! And, let me know if you like the breakfast at TH; we're probably going to be trying that one for the first time in September!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. :goodvibes We had a nice day! Tomorrow is my nephew's birthday so we're in celebration mode over here.

Aloha, I've been to the Rock Hall a few times now. Seems all of our visitors want to go when they come to Cleveland. I don't mind at all though.

Heather, I'll be sure to let you know how we liked Pop. I'm hoping we get into a fun building. I'm not much of yo-yo fan and DH said he just hopes we don't get near the giant cell phone. :lmao:

I just booked Pop for Memorial weekend! Friday AM - Monday PM for $303!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I'm going to look at your itinerary and see when we can meet up!

totallllly jealous!

Don't be jealous! There's a special offer! You should go, too! I'm totally jealous of your trip though. MNSSHP?? DxDDP? LUCKY!!

Great price! Let me know when you have your itinerary down.

:sad1: I want you to come with me....... :sad1:

Isn't that crazy? I saw CBR for like $500 an thought that was good. I kept checking Pop which was all sold out and then they suggested ASMo suite for $700...that doesn't make sense for us. So then right before I booked CBR I thought I would just check Pop ONE more time....just in case. And it was available! Woo woo! :cool1:

I've never stayed there before and I'm kind of nervous. Did you request any specific buildings or anything? I booked a preferred room because that was the only thing available but I have no idea what that entails! I'm making some ADR's today and then I'll let you know what we have going on!

I am determined to get my binder up to date before we visit Jenn (inkedupmomma) in 2 weeks. I want to show here how "organized" I am. :lmao:

My mom told me over the weekend that she wants me to make mousekeeping envelopes for her too. I still have to print mine and I hope to stuff them too by the end June. I have my little calendar all ready. Do mousekeeping envelopes and have them stuffed by June. Get tip envelopes printed...can't stuff them because I have no clue what the tips will be yet. And so on.

I also realized that the last time I renewed my TIW card (formerly DDE) I did it so I could get multiple trips out of it. It doesn't expire until the end of September 2009 so :woohoo: I get two more trips out of it. The 20% discount helps especially because you can use it on adult beverages as well. :rolleyes1 I also figured that my oop costs for meals that are outside of the dining plan will be around $400. Still not enough to add on dxdp for the two of us but using the TIW card will save me 20%. I think that most if not all of the places that we will be paying oop will take the card. :cutie:

I subbed to a cake thread and I think that I am going to order a cake for Joe as a surprise. I really wanted to do GF but apparently you can't just order them and pick them up or have them delivered to wherever. :headache: If I read the thread right, you have to have them delivered to a restaurant in the GF. So, I am still on the hunt for a place to get a cake. I DO NOT want a podium cake so we'll see. I think Joe would get a kick out of it. I'm also going to see if I can get his anniversary gift when we are there in May. I just have to find a distraction to get him away from me while I get it. For some time now he has had his eye on a watch at WoD. My luck it won't be there but I am sure that I can find him one. I don't think he will ever suspect that. RIght now I think he thinks I am getting him a stein to add to his collection.

We went to the Disney store the other day and I got to add to my Disney Dollar collection so I'm happy about that. :goodvibes It makes it so much easier to just accumulate that instead of trying to figure out last minute what we can afford to take. I figure if we buy Disney Dollars then we won't spend them before we go.

That's it for now. I know, lame update but I tried. :rolleyes1 Joe tells me there is a funny Family Guy on so I'm going to watch it with him.

I kinda want some too.. just sayin..:rolleyes1please show me when you are here how to make them, please!

Yay! does that mean you get to save money now?? you wont have to buy a new card?

Ask Carrie about cakes!! she knows all about them, she is obsessed! We will find him a gift!!

hmm... not only did you add to your own.. but she sent my family quite a few!!!!!;)quite a few!! sneaky lil lady you! Thanks again! I still wish my disney store sold disney dollars.. so depressing that they do not :(

That's it for now. I know, lame update but I tried. :rolleyes1 Joe tells me there is a funny Family Guy on so I'm going to watch it with him.

great update! I needed an update today!

I want to see your Disney binder! If I ever take a trip that involves more than like, 4 days in WDW I would totally have one! I'm coming home again this weekend for Easter/Indians Opening Day. We're basically neighbors so I might come over and take a look, LOL!

How exactly does the TIW card work and how do you get one? Sounds like it will be getting you some great savings!

Which Disney store do you go to? I didn't know they don't all have Disney dollars. I don't know how Disney dollars work, either!! Belle told me she noticed that everyone around her was paying for everything with Disney $$ so we were confused. If it's just cashing in regular money for Disney money, I might have to do that!! Otherwise I'll spend it on takeout or something else I don't need.

Hope you had fun watching family guy!

great update! I needed an update today!

So I won't have to buy a new TIW card this year which is cool. That means that I will have used the same discount card for three trips and a total of 23 days. :woohoo: It more than pays for itself which is why we keep renewing. :wizard: So you know what that means???? We can have ourselves a little drinky-pooh here and there and get 20% off.

So, two weeks or so til our visit. :thumbsup2 I can't wait....and now that Joe's car is "legal" we're good to go. Get this.....the stupid dealership did not transfer the title from his last car that he totalled to the new one! :scared1: He has been driving around since last September with invalid plates. :scared1: He went NUTS yesterday at the BMV when he found out that the stupid dealership did not transfer the title.

I am subbed to a thread that Carrie is on and she has lots of good info on cakes. :goodvibes I'm gonna get one to surprise Joe. We should get one for John's birthday too. :flower3:

Come on over and check out the binder. :flower3: We'll be home this weekend too, except for Sunday....we'll be in Lakewood.

The TIW card is great. If you are an AP holder you can buy one for $60. That's what I paid last time I renewed but I have no clue if they are still that same price. Nearly all of the TS locations and some CS locations take the card which gives you 20 percent off of your bill, including alcohol. At first I thought it would be a pain to keep digging for, etc. and how much would we really save? Well, one trip to a place like the Yachtsman and you can potentially save 20 bucks or more. You can use it for up to a party of 10 (I think). It's awesome.

I get my Disney Dollars at Great Northern, or Great Nothing as we call it. Doubt we'd go there if they didn't have a Disney store because it is a pain in the you know what to park, etc. I know that Mentor Mall had them too because last year we went there to get them because Great Nothing was out of them. Last year we took $2,500 in DD. I went through a phase of saving $1 bills and stuffing them into a drawer. I then made Joe roll our coins which he HATED :rolleyes1 however it resulted in over 500 bucks. I took all that to the Disney store (after turning the coin into cash ) and got DD's with it. Basically whenever we are going near a mall I empty the $1 bill drawer and take it with me. If they have DD's, I get them. Basically, you just use them like regular cash on property.

Family Guy is so freaking stupid that it's funny. :rolleyes1

I love DDs and they are so darn cute!!

Whenever I go with the kids I always get them for them.. its a good way to save the money and not worry about spending it before the trip gets here.. When I go by myself I tend to just put the money on a giftcard that way I only have one thing to carry.. They just make it so easy to spend money :rotfl:

You're right. They do make it easy to spend money! :lmao: I like the Disney Dollars because I can actually see them dwindling down. :sad2: I have thought about a gift card but then I have to keep track of the balance. :lmao: But on the flip side, it is nice to only have to carry one thing!

Hi, we've stayed in a preferred room at POP before, and it just seems to mean that your room will be nearer to the pool and the main building. We were in building 7 and initially thought it was at the back of beyond but it was in a really convenient location to everything! :thumbsup2

Hi Sophia!

All caught up now, your plans sound good. The cake and the watch sound like a good idea - I'll keep my fingers crossed that the watch is still there! :thumbsup2
And obviously the Reichstag stein! :rotfl:

3 days left until you can start using the gift card!! :woohoo::woohoo:

Hi Di,

I'm curious to see where our room will be at Pop. :rolleyes1

I am still checking out all of the cake threads and believe it or not, I will probably plan dinner around where I can get a cake. :lmao:

Mini update on our May trip...........

So, my brother still has not made his flight reservations for our trip. He is the one that wanted to do this trip and after months Joe and I agreed to do so. We're all set. All he had to do was make one ressie........his plane ressie. :sad2: Since we are only there for 4 days and renting one car, I wanted to be sure that we could arrive at the same time. He is coming from Atlanta where there are a bazillion flights to everywhere. Get this. They have one flight that arrives around the same time that we do and one flight that leaves around the same time that we do.........yep, that's it......just one. He wants to fly Delta because he has an unused ticket and the only airline that gets there at the desired time......Airtran. :scared1: I told Joe that if my brother doesn't get his butt in gear, I'm sticking him on ME.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Joe said that my mom and I are driving him nuts with our reminder emails and such and that in spite, he will probably arrive at the worst time possible. That dude is making me nuts with his lack of enthusiasm to make his ressies!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes1 Come on people, we have only 4 days...4 days I say, so let's make the best of them.

My mom was talking to my brother and basically told him that his commando sister has the itinerary all planned out and that this includes a 7:30 a.m. breakfast.:eek: I can't believe that she actually TOLD him what time! I told him it was "early" and that was it. She said he about lost it. So, that said, who knows what is next on the horizon? Why do I think that Joe and I are going to be going alone? :rolleyes1

Update on September trip

I spent the better part of Saturday, okay, every hour that I was home on Saturday, working on my binder. :cheer2: It is nearly finished now. All of my tip envelopes for mousekeeping are done. All of my tip envelopes for dining are also done ... yes, I use envelopes. :cutie: I also did my thank you cards and have already put one in each envelope as well. I have another stack that I will carry with me for CM's too. :flower3: Next I am going to go to the bank and get 5's and 1's so that I can load the envelopes for Mousekeeping. They are all in their own sheet protectors in the binder at the beginnig of the section that I labeled "day by day." In that section I have a sheet protector with the mousekeeping envelope to start the day, then I have my itinerary for the day, behind that are the menus for the places we plan to eat (tip envelope included in the sheet protector containing the menus), then I have the place where I take my notes at the end of each day.....and that is just ONE tab of the binder! :rolleyes1

I also found a thread here where someone makes dining plan punch cards. I got two...one for mom and one for us. They are really cute. I am going to laminate ours and then get a hole punch (small one) that I can use. I figured I'd either carry it with us if it was small enough or at the end of the day just punch out what we used. Cute! I will probably attach it to my laminated itinerary cards that I carry with me each day. Yeah, I am a Disney dork!

I also requested some DISigns for T-shirts from two awesome designers here on the DIS. I was able to download them and I already have t-shirts and iron ons so I am ready to get started making our shirts. Some of then do not have names on them and others do. I can't wait to get then done. When I do, I am going to post them here.

I am hoping to get our trip paid off by the end of April. We don't owe a lot because I keep making payments on line whenever I can. I will be doing the happy dance for sure when that day comes! :dance3:

Lastly, I have decided that I really need to go back to Weight Watchers. I just can't do this by myself :sad1: It's just not working. :sad2: I had to climb a flight of stairs yesterday and got winded at the top which is so not good. We don't have stairs in our house so I don't get to use them often. I figure I have to go and start now so that I can be ready to walk the parks! What's strange is that I don't have issues when we are there walking for long periods of time. I just know that I have to start getting these pounds off now. So, I am an on line member of Weight Watchers but I think I now need the real deal.......

So that's it. Sorry for rambling......... :flower3:

Ok, your bro is a douchemaster.. why would he not have booked yet?? i can't stand crap like that! On the plus side, you have a vacation to WDW whether he goes or not! Wish I flew, I'd take his place:lmao:

I think you should go back! I did well with them online last year.. I would have done much better had I went to meetings! If it makes you ffel better I work out often at the gym, and I still get winded walking up stairs...I'll be so glad the day that goes away! I am proud of you for taking charge of your life and taking care of yourself!! I need you around a long time, so stay healthy !!

Well, I felt guilty after I posted this morning. :guilty: Had I looked at my email I would have seen that my brother did make his arrangements and he sent me his itinerary. :confused3 I felt so bad. He is getting there an hour before us so he will be waiting on us. :rolleyes1

 Jenn, wait til you see this binder. I think it's awesome if I don't say so myself. :rolleyes1 And I will show you how I made my cards and stuff and if I will get you a hole punch when I get mine. :flower3:

I talked to my friend today. She is going in July and hasn't even thought about ADR's. :confused3 I told her that she is so close to her 90 day window that she needs to get with the program. :teacher: Apparently they have not decided where to go yet. :sad2: :scared1:

Joe was psyched this morning when I told him who is scheduled to be at Star Wars weekend. :lovestruc Apparently the dude that played Darth Maul? :confused3 Who knows. All I know is he was doing the happy dance when he found out. :dance3:

I called this morning and got details on the cruises that are offered. I've decided on a Wishes cruise since there are more boats than the Illuminations cruise and am going for the decorated pontoon boat. I also want to have a cake delivered to the boat that night. I am booking the deluxe package so that we have sound from MK too. They said that they have coke products, chips and pretzels on board as well. I will be surprising Joe. Now to figure out how to do this. He will complain no doubt about an early ADR on our anniversary. I just hope that he doesn't pull the "I'm too tired to go to a park again" on me when I tell him that I want to go back out. I have to think of a good scheme to get him out. :idea:Once I know what marina we are sailing out of I am going to tell him that I want to go to such and such resort to "check it out." The problem is, we've seen them all. So I somehow have to get creative. I am sort of hoping that we sail out of the GF. Maybe we are just better off eating somewhere there. It might make this a whole lot easier. :confused3 Any way, I have to get my my brain moving once I find out where were are sailing out of. It will depend on what is available.
