I emailed member services on sunday night to book either a studio or 1 bdrm at hilton head in May. I got a message on Tuesday that m.s. confirmed a 1 bedroom for my sun - thurs visit.
Thanks member services! (considering it's only 3 months away).

If anyone has been to HH please let me know of any activities nearby. My husband wants to try his hand at a round of golf, but I think I want to horseback ride on the beach. Any other ideas or day trips will be helpful.
Thanks

You'll find a pretty good list of activities and other Hilton Head info on my website.

BTW, Thanks Pete, for allowing us "small potatoes" to have the opportunity to express our own interests with our personal web sites located on other servers and not block us out from mentioning them.

Hi, we went to HHI last year at the same time your going. The weather was absolutely perfect!! It was warm enough to run around in swimsuits but not unbearably hot. Our family of 5 did the Zodiac dolphin cruise. I found that on Tommy's web page. It was lots of fun and we saw tons of dolphins out in open water instead of a tank. I also did the horseback ride on the beach. Booked it right thru HHI. They also had a kayaking tour in the marshes which I hope to do next time. The beach house is beautiful and leads right to the beach which is also spectacular. We did crabbing with gear we rented by the resort pool. Kids loved that. Also avaiable for rent by the pool is bicycles. My kids are a little young but later that would be a fun way to get around between beach house and resort. Have a great time.

This is the place for Golf!! When you get there get a Hilton Head Island Golf Mag. Off island the courses are cheaper but just as beautiful. Also look for afternoon deals. My husband last time book thru the DVC and everything went get. Check out the discounts thru DVC compared tto the courses regular discounts.

In Sea Pines there is a horse stable. Check it out if they ride on the beach.

Enjoy!!
We are going in April and I can not wait!!

Speaking of golf. My last trip in January, I played the "Executive Golf Course" right inside Hilton Head National. It is a little course with 6 par three and 3 par four holes and can be played very quickly and is a lot of fun. It is a little challenging on some of the holes due to some placements of the greens by WATER!!! It is also a cheap place to play and easy for the walker too. In January it was like $20 for nine holes and two of us shared a cart for $7 each. Fun for the beginner and for someone who doesn't have a lot of time but wants to get out on the green.

On the other side of the spectrum...now that the renovation of Harbour Town Golf Course is complete, they have raised their green fees....$240 for 18 holes....(not for me!)
