if you have cats, they LOVE to hunt them. just let the cat into the basement for awhile. .

Absolutely. My cats have been presenting me with body parts from these things for a few days now. I've also found dismembered legs in the tub. I'm happy to report that the don't seem to cause the cats to get sick, since I can only imagine that the missing body parts are being eaten--or else there's a huge pile somewhere in the house that I haven't found yet.

I was scraed to death to open the link and look at the picture, but I did, and it just looked like a cricket to me. Maybe I am just used to seeing them. I always save crickets when they get in the house. I was at a store the other day and a cricket got in there and all the sales girls were in a panic. Screaming and running, so I grabbed the little guy and put him outside. They didnt even give me a discount.

We used to have those in a house we rented. I did some googling and found this recipe:

1 cup flour
1 small onion, chopped
6 oz Boric Acid
1/4 cup shortening

Blend until crumbly, and then add enough water to moisten. Make marble-sized balls.

I tossed a bunch of these into the crawl space under the house. We no longer had camel crickets.

I know exactly how you feel. Back where my family and I used to live in New Jersey, I grew up with those things in our basement for most of my life! *Shivers* One once jumped on my dad's face and he screamed... I thought it was my mom or my sister... (He doesn't usually scream like a girl, just to be fair.)
Edit: Try hiring an exterminator, it helped us.
