So I was trying to figure out what to do about my situation, then I thought...I should ask the people on the DIS! They seem to know everything :cool1:

On Aug. 29th-Sept. 3rd, five of us are getting two rooms at the AKL to take advantage of free dining. Well, it turns out that there's a possibility that one of us might not be able to make it:sad1: .

Well, if it becomes just 4 of us, I was thinking of cutting out one room and having the four of us share a room. My full payment isn't due until July 15th, so I have until then to make any changes, right? If I change the reservations, will I still be able to grab free dining I had originally booked? (I noticed that the promotion isn't being offered anymore.)

Thanks to everyone who can help out!

I don't think you would have a problem going down to one room as far as keeping your free DDP. However, that's going to be pretty crowded...so make sure you'll all get along well in one room before you make the decision! :goodvibes

Thanks Calypso! Yeah, I was thinking I might try to upgrade us to a suite somewhere else too...I love my friends, but I don't know if I love them that much.

You should have no problem but may have to pay $25/day for more than 2 adults in the room. You may also want to try to get a deluxxe room which provides a bit more room. Good luck!

Keep in mind that the suite at the value resorts were not included in the dinning plan.

When we stayed there in Jan, we stayed in a Savannah room with one queen and bunkbeds for the kids. It must have been standard size. 2 adults and 2 children. It was a bit tight mostly due to the luggage. There is room in the sink area to set up on big suitcase and you can wedge another around the closet but it was a squeeze. So my best advice is this; the AKL is a GREAT hotel and you will not regret it but make sure your 4 ADULTS pay particular attention to not bring huge excessive amounts of stuff/luggage otherwise its going to be hard to walk.
