It's starting to feel like the trip (report) that never ends :rolleyes1 ;)

Sci Fi, lunch, 11.18.08
So yeah, probably won't go back to Sci Fi. Glad I did it as an "adult", since I didn't really remember it from growing up. But yeah, I'll stick with the Brown Derby and the 50's/Tune In from now on.

Sorry Sci Fi didn't work out so well, but the drink & appy looked great :thumbsup2

Glad to see my drinking buddy, um I mean friend, is back!:drinking1

:lmao: :rotfl2:

I was going to mention that when we went last Nov. we both got the burgers and they were excellent!:thumbsup2

I have no problem waiting for your reviews! :thumbsup2

I see you will be back next month...we will be at the Poly March 4-8, what are you dining choices for then...maybe we have the same places!

Yummy review :)

thanks!

A new update:) Yeah, tofu is tricky..it all depends on the veggies or protein and spices it's cooked with. The Comet looks yummy.

yeah very true. thank goodness for the comet!

Glad you're back! :) It all looks pretty yummy but I can't say that tofu has ever appealed to me. That dip, however, looks quite good. Maybe I'll just pop in for a snack sometime!

yeah i think a snack or burger (i don't do burgers) is your best bet

Glad to see my drinking buddy, um I mean friend, is back!:drinking1

hehe, glad to see you too! :)

Tune In Lounge, drinks, 11.18.08

I forgot that when I got back to MGM after my afternoon break, after riding a few rides, I went back to the bar. Ha, of course I did! And at this point, David was okay with serving me drinks. So I got my new fav, the Long Beach.
pic023.jpg

Yum, yum, as usual. Once I finished that one, I told Dave to surprise me, and he went with the Electric Lemonade. Good stuff! :thumbsup2
pic024.jpg

I stayed until they closed up, and made my way over to the Boardwalk via the walking path.

ESPN, dinner, 11.18.08

Okay, so here's where I don't have pictures. Anyway, I went over and sat myself down and ordered a drink while I waited for David to arrive. I don't remember what my drink was, but it was something similar to what I usually order, I'm sure :). Once Dave arrived, he asked me if I liked clam chowder and proceeded to order us each a bowl, plus an order of fries and wings to share.

Since I had never been here, I let him go ahead and order his usuals. And man, that chowder was so so good! Rich and thick and way yummy. The fries came with some dipping sauces, but I went with my old favorite, ketchup. And the wings. Well, normally, I do not eat wings. Actually, I don't eat much of this type of stuff, LOL! But I went ahead and let Dave take charge. And I'm glad I did! I had a couple of the wings, and really enjoyed them.

At some point, we each got another drink. We finished up and then made our way to the main event of the evening....

Jellyrolls, drinks, 11.18.08

That's right, Jellyrolls! We had been planning this evening all week and I was really looking forward to it! And it did not disappoint! I had a blast. We met up with another couple of people that were down for the marathon thingy that was going on that weekend. Of course there were drinks! Apparently, they do a big cup special each night, I don't remember exactly what it was, some sort of lemonade or something, who knows, but it was right up my alley, so of course that's what I got. It's a pretty large cup for $9.
pic026.jpg

Dave stuck with his Coronas, and at one point, he was double fisting, so I had to capture that

And here are some photos of the piano players

Really fun night! Definitely check out Jellyrolls!

next up: b'fast at Boma

Hey I will be at WDW the same time as you. Maybe we will corss paths at some point on our trip.:thumbsup2

David was definitely the bartender at the Tune In Lounge when we were there last week. I kind of wanted to say, "I've seen you on the Dis, you're famous." But I didn't, because I thought it'd be creepy. I did have the Grandma Picnic Punch though and it was delicious! Glad you've posted it so many times!!

Oh, and we went to Jellyrolls for the first time, it was so much fun!!

Boma, breakfast, 11.19.08

I had originally scheduled Crystal Palace, I think, for breakfast. But I had heard so many great things about Boma, and I wanted to sleep in a bit after the night before, so I called up the day before and scheduled a Boma breakfast for 10:45am.

This morning, I did let myself sleep in. Got to the bus stop at 9:50 with the intention of taking the first theme park bus that showed up. Happened to be MGM, where I arrived at 10am. Made it to AKL by 10:30, checked in, and was seated right away.

This breakfast was so good! It's everything you've heard! I started off with some of that special juice and a pressed pot of coffee. Of course I got the good coffee!
pic002.jpg

pic003.jpg

This plate has fruit, pap, scrambled eggs, sausage, and some bread type thing.
pic001.jpg

Next up, more pap, with some tomatoey type stuff on each side of it, then other than the raisin bread french toast (so good!!!), I'm sorry but I have no idea what the rest of it is! I do know it was good though!
pic004.jpg

Then I got a bowl of quinoa, to which I added brown sugar, cinnamon, and raisins. I've done the sweet quinoa before at Crystal Palace and didn't like it, but decided to give it another try. Still not a huge fan.
pic005.jpg

Back for more! Only took a bite of each of these things though! Some ham, pineapple, more pap (really liked it!), potato wedge, mini corn muffin, mini sticky bun, more raisin french toast, another mini muffin, and sausage.
pic006.jpg

Last one! Scrambled eggs, potato wedge, and then some african type stuff, which I wasn't a huge fan of, but it was okay.
pic007.jpg

And here are some pics of the restaurant. It was pretty empty while I was there.

Tune In Lounge, alcohol, 11.19.08

Yeah, so of course I went back. Had to say goodbye to David one last time. Had a couple drinks, my standard Picnic Punch, and a Long Beach. Good stuff.
pic012.jpg

pic013.jpg

And so it ends. With drinks, just the way it began.

I'll be back next Thursday, or probably Friday actually. Since I get in late Wed night, and have to work Thurs. Maybe I'll stop by during my trip, though, since I'm bringing the laptop. Anyway, thanks for all those that followed me along the way. Had a blast, and can't wait to do it again!

Peace out! :cool1:

Oh man do I miss Boma breakfast!

Have a safe trip, we are driving up on Wed afternoon and will be hanging at the Poly all night. Thurs we are spending the day at HS with lunch at Sci Fi and I really want to stop in the Tune In Lounge for a drink before leaving the park for dinner at the Wave..will look for you!

Hey marsh, I want you to know I went from plans of just payin' OOP for a few meals to the whole

Thanks so much, I'm gonna be the size of a house after my May trip. :lmao:

And it's all your fault!!! :goodvibes

Great food porn, great!!

Yet another fun trippie:) Your drink reviews are so fun. I've got a few things I've GOT to try in June now.
