ericafny said:I did say in my above post that I haven't ridden the ride and that I am not exactly sure how it is, BUT I can say that I think they should get rid of it due to the fact that two people died (one who was only 4) and that people constantly come off that ride sick to their stomachs.
The problem with your argument is that you seem to be assuming that nearly everyone who rides MS gets sick. But that is not necessarily true. MS is ridden by at least tens of thousands of people every year. But how many actually get sick? It may seem like a very large number of people get sick based on what you read on these boards but the actual number may really be a tiny percentage of the people who ride it. Even if MS is worse than other rides, that alone is not a good reason to make the ride less enjoyable for the majority of riders.
The problem with incidents like this is that there are people who overreact and start saying that something needs to be done to protect people from all of these dangerous rides. Unfortunately, sometimes politicians (Congressman Markey of Massachusetts being the worst example) listen to the overreactions and try to pass legislation to make rides less intense. So the overall experience is cheapened for everyone because of a tiny percentage of problems.
I personally can't stand the Tea Cups so I hope they get rid of it next

(and I can 'say' that because I'm from Massachusetts
) but Epcot provides park maps in about eight different languages - ANY warning would be on every map, in the appropriate language.
and some claim to get emotionally weepy in the hall of pres...so that might have to go...looks like all we have left to do at wdw is go sit on the benchs and watch the palmetto bugs
