Yet ANOTHER "how to dress" question

I've read a lot about what to wear to dinner and am VERY clear on that, no problems there. However, what do you wear to the SHOWS? We have late dinner, so will be going to the early show. Do we "dress" before the show or after? I would think before, but wouldn't want to arrive "all dressed up" and see everyone else in shorts and tees, lol.

You'll be herded from the show into the dining room, so I would dress before the show, unless you're a very fast dresser! If you have a nearby cabin and just need to slip clothes on, you arguably could dress after the show, but in my experience, most people are already dressed for dinner when they arrive at the show.

Our experience was that there wasn't a LOT of time between the show and late seating dinner, but there could have been enough to change quickly, I guess.

We dressed before the show.

However, we saw plenty of folks in the theater who were not dressed for dinner.

It's kind of your choice.

We had late dinner and usually had about an hour between the end of the show and when we were seated for dinner. You will see every variety of dress. Since they take pictures and do the "red carpet" arrival for the Golden Mickeys, I would definitely dress up for that show.

Thank you! I'll be alone with three kids so "dressing" quickly probably won't happen, LOL. I may have to start around lunch time just to make the show! I think we'll just get ready before the shows as I'd like to do more relaxing and less rushing if possible! I just didn't want to be overdressed, though I suppose that would only be an issue on formal and semi-formal nights anyway.

We had the late seating this July (DH, DS 14 and 15, and myself). It all depended on what we were after the main show. If it was only the show, then we would wait and dress after. If we were going to see the variety show or something else, we would dress for diner first. BUT...we are a family that can get ready in a flash!!! I would say, give us 20 minutes and we can be cleaned up and ready to go!
