Yesterday me and my eldest son survived a head on crash when a car travelling in the opposite direction careered over the central reservation and hit us full on. Thankfully and amazingly we are both fine, just suffering from whiplash. My new (6 week old) car is wrecked, waiting to hear if they can fix it but I think it will be a miracle if they can.

The police, ambulance and firemen said we were lucky there were no fatalities, broken bones or serious injuries because that is what they usually see in our type of crash. The other driver was fine though I think whiplash will set in today. Thank goodness my car had twin air bags.

So Thank God we are here. I just keep having visions of the car coming towards us. :sad1: Value your time.

So pleased you're OK-I know most of us think our next trip to WDW is the be all and end all but you just put things into perspective.
Now about a trip to WDW to take your mind off it...

Oh Bev, thank God you're both OK. I nearly sent you a PM yesterday to ask how things are going (and will do anyway when I get round to it). Glad you're OK, although it's a shame about your car :guilty:

OMG how scary and how lucky you both were OMG what a relief and thank god for air bags.

Did the other driver lose control or what? Did the emergency services say anything?

:grouphug: to you Bev and your DS so glad you're both ok, don't worry about your car, its a car, that's all, you and your son are far more precious

:grouphug: Wow I can't imagine what that must have been like for you, to see that car coming at you!! Thank God both you and your DS are both ok! :goodvibes

Delighted to hear both of you are OK
What a nightmear

Take it easy
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

How horrible - thank goodness you are both OK.

Thanks for your good wishes, it does put life in perspective a bit more especially when I had my son with me.

The other driver said he was cut up by a driver, he was in the outside lane as the lanes were converging into one, my hubbie thinks he has been trying to get past him but suddenly there was no room and he lost control. You know this is my first insurance (been on a company car scheme with hubbie's firm), had no bumps/accidents in 25 years of driving, decide to buy a car for the very first time, go for a new Aygo, love it to bits for the freedom it gives me - then this happens. Typical.

However, as I keep saying it is only a car we are okay which is the most important thing.

Wow, glad to hear you are ok :) You must have had a very well built and sturdy car.

It was a little Toyota Aygo, it did us proud!

Again thanks for the good wishes.

Glad to hear you both were not badly injured, just take things easy for a few days. :grouphug:

glad your both ok :grouphug:
