Yes! Michael Vick Indicted

What a complete moron this guy is. I personally hope he gets booted out of the league. But in any event, I think his career is essentially over. And he will never be able to go anywhere now without people knowing who he is and knowing what a complete loser digenerate he is. That stigma that will follow him for life will be decent punishment. Can you imagine never being able to go anywhere for practically the rest of your life without people looking at you like you are essentially Hitler or Charles Manson. Not comparing Hitler or Manson to him because they killed human beings, but still you get my point, that is how people will look at him.

Here's an article and picture from PFT that has been on this case from the begining. I recomend reading it.

Fans can make a difference. Picture stadiums full of people BARKING every time he takes the field. Something more creative than just booing him.

Of course the home town crowd has to choose to do the right thing and shun him.

Hopefully there's video. I figure there's got to be -- people who get off on that stuff want some way to relive it when they can't be there live. And hopefully they nail a few other people who were there, too.

This is one of Many reasons why I hate Sports of ANY kind, I detest these players who are Drug Addicts/ rapists/murders/ and just plain SCUM! THEY GET AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE WHO SUPPORT THE FRANCHISE AND TEAM THE SCUM PLAYS ON. It burns me UP it really does!!!!   I know, he will get a slap on the wrist and continue palying "Sports".:sad2: :sad2:

Just saw on a newsbreak how he killed his "losing" dogs by hosing them down and electrocuting them. :sad2: :sad1: May he meet a similar fate some day.

After seeing this cruel sports aftermath up close, it sickens me. The neighbors behind us (we live in a typical burb subdivision) were keeping the fighting pit bulls belonging to their daughter's boyfriend. 4 fighting males and a constantly pregnant and starving female.

The female was kept nearest to us. We would often throw milkbones over the fence to her - you could see her ribs protruding through her skin. 3 of the males were vicious and would lunge for us when we came in our backyard (they were chained with a thick chain and we have a chainlink fence.) The other male desperately wanted to get away and would often jump our fence in the middle of the night, his chain hanging him by the neck from our fence. DW Lauri, who is trained in handling aggressive dogs, would go out there and save him, climbing the fence and lifting him over. We didn't dare take him in because 1) we didn't know these people, and 2) no matter how well Lauri handles aggressive dogs, you can't predict these dogs.

The boyfriend would show up daily and inject the dogs with something. On the weekends they would put them in a car. The would come back the next day covered in blood, with poorly set broken limbs. :sad1:

We tried going to the police but were never taken seriously. When a local news station did a story on pit bull fighting making it out to the burbs, Lauri contacted the reporter and told him what we had seen going on behind us.

Long story short, after constant survelience and videotaping done from our kitchen, even getting the license plate of the car taking the dogs away - the police were encouraged by the reporter to take this seriously and at least one dog ring in our city was shut down. :thumbsup2

Thank you - I am grateful there are people like you in the world.

The bright side to this horrible news is someone famous is involved. It will be harder for local authorities to take animal cruelty as lightly as they have in the past. This puts a bright spotlight on what is really going on. Hopefully this will save some animal lives.

Too much publicity for Vick to get probation. My wish is he will get the maximum.

If Nike does not drop him IMMEDIATELY, my family will NEVER buy another Nike product.

I used General Product information for the subject and football for the sub-topic.

Then add your message.

It does ask for your email and name before accepting.

I used another catagory after clicking Customer Service. I used Nike-The Company instead of Product Info. Probably still goes to the same place. I gave them permission to forward to anyone they saw fit.

Vick has been ordered to Federal court next Wednesday, voluntarily for processing and bonding. he'll make bond, but Federal indictments are hanging around the mid-90% for convictions.

Yep, he will be in court on the day the Falcons open training camp.
An article I read said that after the arraignment he will most likely be able to join the team and play while he awaits his day in court. Goodell has decided to let him play until the legal process determines "the facts."

I was listening to the local ESPN affiliate out of NY and the host was saying that the Falcons shouldn't dismiss him because he was "innocent until proven guilty" and that he has a "right" to keep his job until the court proceedings are over.

My answer to that?? BULL. If I was indicted for something that my boss thought put a bad light on the company I work for-you can bet your last dollar that I'd be out of a job. There is NO way that having a particular job is a "right".

He tried to say that it was a slippery slope and if we let owners dismiss players without convictions then it would lead to owners dismissing players for any random reason like they don't like black players or hispanic players.

My answer to that?? BULL. Race is not a choice, sexual orientation is not a choice, behavior is a choice. Saying that if the NFL or the Falcons dismissing Vick before trial will lead to random dismissals for other reasons is a leap that just isn't logical.

I'm heading to Nike and the NFL sites now to register my feelings, and I may try the Falcons site as well.

::yes::

They're only interested in the bottomline.

True, and I feel it is my responsibility as a fan of the NFL and a consumer of Nike products to let those folks know that they will be getting less of my $$ as long as they continue to condone this behavior by inaction.

Fire off those emails, people!!!! This is the last straw!!! It was bad enough when crimes were being committed against other people and players still got their checks and played the game, but what was done to innocent creatures whose only crime was wanting to please their owners is beyond the pale.

Actually there are situations where an employer cannot take action against an employee without a conviction or admission of guilt.

I don't think the entire situation is right but I do think that this one story is getting of hand at this point. The reality is that there are people still playing in NFL after offenses that are just as bad or even much worse. If people are going to boycott the league because of letting these kind of people continue to play, they should have been NFL free years ago.

I was doing an interview with the singer and guitarist for a band yesterday, and all the guitarist wanted to talk about was what a scumbag he thinks Vick is. I have to agree with his feelings.

I was at the Laser show at Stone Mountain last night http://www.stonemountainpark.com/mini-section/default.aspx?id=5

and they show the UGA and the Falcons logos while playing the song Who Let the Dogs Out which usually makes everyone yell and clap, but the whole lawn fell silent...who could have imagined, how horrible.

I'm a Steelers fan and I bet Big Ben took more heat last year than Vick will this year.

Wow... that sounds like a moment just dripping with irony. I can imagine how awkward the crowd must have felt.
