I was reading Birnbaum's book in preparation for our trip in a few days and it mentioned "special" park hoppers at the resorts. I called and they said they have 2,3 & 4 day hoppers. I didn't know they now had 2-days!

We only have Saturday & Sunday, so this works out great. We had originally planned on buying single passes for each day.

7 days to some Magic....!

If I were you I would call DL and make sure of this. We were there in Aug. for 2 days and they didn't offer these tickets.

I tallked with the Front Desk at the GC. He was the one who told me that it is a new ticket, just recently offered. The adult price is $91 and the kid's is around $70ish. I even specifically asked him about advance purchase or getting them when we check in. He didn't know of any other way than thru the resort.

I thought it was too good to believe, too!

If you were going to return in the next two years, aother possibility would be to get the 3 or 4 day non expiring pass that allows park hopping and use 2 days now and the other one or two later. It works out to be quite a bit cheaper per day and then you don't have to stay on site next time. (but of course, it sounds fabulous!) About 117 for 3 day and 137 for 4 day. If you have the Disney card it is even chepaer : )

It may also be less expensive to get the 4-day hopper pass at the hotel with the kids' free promotion. For every adult hopper, you get a free kid hopper. For $222, you can get 4 days worth for a family of four (w/kids 9 and under).

They actually had that pass during the summer. If you are staying at the hotel, before 12/19, you can get a Stay and Play which gets you in to each park for one day. A kid's pass is free for each adult. The 2-day pass for a family of 4 works out to be $152. I wonder if they include the 2-day hopper pass in that promotion.

Just called and got an answer to my own question. Spoke with Cynthia at the GC. The 2-day pass is not part of the kids' free promotion. Therefore, if you have one kid, you are better off getting 1 adult 2 day ($91), and 1 adult 3 day on which an extra day is added now ($111). The kid is then free. If you have 2 kids, you are better off getting 2 adults 3 day passes and handing them to total strangers on your way out. If you have more than two kids, you can get cheap passes on ebay right now because everyone is selling extra kid passes.

We have 2 adults, a 14 yr old (adult), and an 8 yr old. We have AP's at WDW and rarely get ot the West Coast, so I am not interested in getting lots of days on our hoppers. I just want to get hoppers instead of single day tix!

I think I need to get two 2-day passes and one 3-day (w/ 1 extra day) plus my son's free ticket for $293. 2-day passes for all of us will be over $343.

1) Can I get them at the GC front desk? at check-in?
2) We are staying on DVC points. Does that matter on these specials?
3) Did I get it right?

I've been on the DIS for over 3 years and still love getting this kind of info.

Thanks stlrod & all!

I'm not sure if you can get those tickets at GC's front desk, but just wanted to say that I was just there a couple weeks ago and I'm almost certain I saw the 2-day pass listed on the ticket booths outside the park entrance. Also, ticket booths are a very short walk from GC, maybe 5 minutes.

Have a great trip! You will LOVE the GC!!! Be sure to take the hotel tour, it's at 2:30 p.m. every day and lasts about an hour. We loved the food at Storyteller's, both breakfast (buffet) and dinner (off the menu). The corn chowder is out of this world!

Claudia,

Looks like yuou got it right. You can get them at the front desk. Whne I first spoke with Cynthia, she said there was no 2-day pass. She then checked with her supervisor and said she could sell one. I don't think it matters that you are using points. Are you going to the GC next weekend (11/3-4). If so, we'll be there too.
