Yep, I took a picture of that (9100 total) COMPLETED 9/1

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical about going in to see it. I really didn’t think it was something I’d be interested in at all.[/] I have no doubt that we will be going back to see it next year. The show was GREAT and put together very well, the pictures just don’t do it justice.

After leaving Ariel we went out to find Mommom Ginny and somehow it seemed to be getting even hotter. We were pretty impressed with the Block Party Bash parade last time we were here so we headed over to find a spot with some decent seats.
I know I’ve posted pictures of this before but the guys and gals that participate really put their hearts into it so I think they deserve a little more recognition.

In the middle of the show I think Mr. Potato Head started to bake a little in the sun so he headed off to find some shade.

When the parade was over we were way past being hot and dehydrated. We stumbled off and grabbed some burgers and checked the map for show times close by. Just recently the boys started playing the Lego version on Indiana Jones on the Wii and had never been to the show at the Studios. I didn’t think this was something Tina and Mommom Ginny would really be into so I convinced them to go to American Idol and I would take the boys to go see the stunt show. The boys both amazed when we got there. For whatever reason, the whole front row directly in the middle was open and we were totally FRONT AND CENTER! Unfortunately When Tina and my mom went to see Idol, they took the valuables with them which included my extra batteries. Of coarse it never fails, as soon as we sat down and I turned the camera on, the battery warning light came up. I was able to grab a few.

The set…..

The boys just sat in amazement. Even Logan who was VERY hot, VERY tired, and VERY cranky calmed down to watch the show. I was surprised to see the place was standing room only after reading how so many people had seen it so many times and probably would pass on it if they had the chance again. Keeping to the tradition of Hollywood Studios, they went through each scene and explained what happens behind the scenes and talked a little about the sets and the training that the stunt men and women go through in order to do what they do so well. The kids weren’t really into the educational part but I really enjoyed the whole thing. Even though the battery was going low, I wanted a few shots for myself.

But I knew I’d have to save at least one for the end. The boys would never forget this one…….
dis1262.jpg

I had read about how to meet Mr Jones here on the Disboards but unfortunately I didn’t think ahead to grab their autograph books. Again, that’s what next time is for right?

Well, earlier in the week Tina told me that If I were good that I could go into ONE MAN’S DREAM by myself for a while. Remember? Yep, finally it was my time! She took the boy’s over for some meet and greets at the Animation building and gave time to myself with Walt……at least the memory of Walt.
Sorry If I’m boring anyone with pictures from what’s pretty much a museum, but again this is something that was kind of important to me.

I was watching the clock because I didn’t want to have Everybody waiting around for me in the heat. I had been in there for about 40 minutes and thought it would be a good idea to pop my head outside. Right on queue, here come the troops. The boys were both telling me about how many characters they saw at the same time and I was sorry I missed it. Talk about excited! They were having the time of their lives it looks like!

I liked the way that picture looked with the leaves as a border don’t you? In case you couldn’t quite make it out, we were eating at…..

dis1448.jpg

Yep, the Brown Derby. By the reviews I’ve heard about, this was one of the best Steak Houses around. I was kind of worried that when we came home I’d find the places in Philly wouldn’t stand a chance. Well, I guess I’m sort of a steak snob. You see, we have little out of the way place about 5 minutes from my house with by far the BEST prime rib I have ever tasted in my life. I’m sure GiGiJoeysMom will back me up on this one…..no body beats Erin’s Pub for steak. That being said, the food here was pretty good, but I don’t think I’d spend 2 Table service credits for it unless it were just Tina and I and we wanted a nice toned down atmosphere.
The waiting area seemed nice

We opted to go outside and people watch.

Doesn’t Logan look like he’s enjoying himself? Actually he had just gotten in trouble, but that’s another story for another day. Even though we arrived about 25 minutes early, we still waited till 6:30 to be seated. I’m not sure if they weren’t quite open yet or if there was a problem somewhere but I know they had plenty of tables available when we came in. The lighting was a little on the darker side for taking pictures without a flash but since we weren’t going anywhere I got a chance to play with the settings and came up with these…..

I love the way the 2nd one came out. Kind of artistic in a way no? Oh well, I liked it.

Ok now listen, this is going to be a one time thing. Pay attention because it’s not going to happen again! Just for the chocolate lovers out there………

Yea, I know. This just went to a PG-17 rating. That’s the last one though I promise, hopefully it’ll be enough to get everybody through the weekend!

See ya real Soon!

Happy Birthday Tina!

One Man's Dream is one of my favorite "attractions" too! I could look around in there all day!

So I know you said you had a banwith problem....I still cant see any pics from Ohana? Is it just me or will they fix it later? We've only been there for breakfast (which we love) but I like to see dinner pics, hopefully we can squeeze it in on 1 of these trips!

17 days left for us!!!!!! I cant wait to be "home"!

I think the problem will resolve itself in a few days. Photobucket used to give you 25 Gigs of bandwidth a month, now it's down to 10. Are you going to Ohana's this trip at all? If so I'll try to set up another account just for those pictures for you so you'll see them before you leave.

I enjoy One Man's Dream so much too. I could have spent a few more hrs in there with no problem at all. I wish I went back for the movie, but that's one more thing for next years list!

Several times this week I would whisper in the boys ears to just look around and remember just how beautiful everything is. I really want them to remember how great of a time we had. As much as we can’t wait to go back, you never know what tomorrow brings. In my mind, if something were to happen to me tomorrow, I’d want both boys to tell their kids how much fun they had with their dad here 20 yrs from now. If you’ve been reading this report from page one you’d get it, if you’re just joining us……Welcome Aboard!

That's the important part. Disney makes a great environment for creating those types of special memories that you'll have forever to keep.

Oh no! Now the whole day is ruined!!! Just kidding. From what I’ve heard and read, there’s no way we would have been going anyway.

I must be the only person on the DISboards that doesn't mind that attraction. Then, again, it could have something to do with the summer that I worked at that park, was in the park on a day off, stopped over at that attraction to chat with one of my CM friends and wound up spending three shows sitting inside with my friend, both of us with night vision goggles glued to our eyes, spying on the unsuspecting audiences and since they couldn't hear us (due to the use of headphones for that show) we could quietly talk and laugh about everything we saw going on during the shows!

Oh, wait. Perhaps I shouldn't have admitted to doing that.. :rolleyes1

Scratch that. I don't know anything about night vision goggles or spying on audiences. ;)

First we grabbed fastpasses and with a 40 minutes wait time posted, we head in. Of course, as soon as we got in line the CM yelled back that it was now upgraded to 50 minutes. Still, no fears, 50 minutes isn’t too bad for a ride right? What’s an extra 10 minutes? Well, the if he were right, I would have been happy with that. Total time? 140 minutes! Yep, that’s right 1 hour and 20 minutes! I tried to find the bright side anyways, more time means more pictures!

What part of my 160 minute wait back in December did you not learn from?? :confused3 At least you had your family in the line to converse with. I had to "adopt" families around me for that miserable wait.

Never again.. :sad2:

I think you mean: how did Tina do with the wait??!! :rotfl:I will never wait that long again for any ride again! Thank goodness for Nintendo DS!

Smart! :thumbsup2 And happy late b-day, by the way. :bday:

We are going this trip...for breakfast again! Dont worry about another account, I'll go back in a few days and see if I can see them. One of these times we'll make it for dinner.

My son loves Stitch (or as he calls him chu-kee-ba-wa-ba, on the TV show in the opening song stitch says that and when he had just turned 2 he was watching and that became his name for stitch) and this time we are going w/ 3 kids who have never been so we are going to the breakfast again so they can all see stitch!

We went in Spet 08 and were in the movie and had to leave because we had an ADR and were cutting it too close and I felt so bad. My DH and I went back in Jan 09 and we saw the movie. If you love Walt, you'll love the movie. I cant help but watch it and think I SO wish he was still here!!!

I'm just glad we found out while the boys are still so young

That sounds like it would be so much fun....you know if it actually happened that is. I guess for an attraction like that, Disney would have to do something to make sure people are behaving themselves.

I know I know, but still he said 50 minutes when we first got in line so I figures somewhere between the 40 minute posted and the 50 min he called out. I wasn't expecting to have to add them together!

I'm hoping the bandwidth resets at the beginning of the month but I really don't know. Let me know if you want the pics before your trip and still can't see them. I'll do something.

Next year I'll have a pic or two of the movie! :rotfl:

I finished the last part of Day 9 and started Day 10, the final episode. Hopefully everything will be up tomorrow night and I can post some bonus pics from the photopass CD! C-ya real soon!

 why must all good things come to an end? - oh yeah, so I can go have my own adventure!!! Is it December yet, though?:sad2:

Tina, I am glad you made it through that LONG line.

I have never seen the Little Mermaid show before. That will be on my list of must-dos for my next trip.

By the way, I love your boys' Phineas and Ferb shirts.
