Yep, I took a picture of that (9100 total) COMPLETED 9/1

I found your trip report today and I am loving all of the pictures. Your boys are adorable. Your report has helped make a hot stormy afternoon become filled with pixie dust and sun shine. Thank You
You're quite welcome! and thank YOU for the compliments! I promise to have a new update soon.

Wow! Great report and awesome pictures. I am looking forward to seeing what you post next.
hehehe....my wife was saying the same thing....AND SHE WAS THERE!:rotfl2: Soon, I promise.

What a wonderful trip report! You have a beautiful family and thank you for sharing your special memories! Love the photos-- can't wait to read and see more pictures!!!
I think I have a few more left to post :rotfl:
Yay! I found your TR! I don't have time to read right now but I will be back! :teeth:
Well well well....look who it is!

To those of you out there not fortunate enough to have read Dolce's trip report, click on the link in her Sig. Well, wait till this one is over first, that way I won't look bad.

All caught up! :thumbsup2 So glad to finally be able to put a face to a name. You have a beautiful family! Your kids are the cutest in their pirate Mickey Mouse Hats.
I don't want to give too much away, but it gets much cuter!
And you know that I agree with your mother about not doing well with flying. Cut her some slack! :teeth: I flew out to LA a couple of week-ends ago and a storm was moving in as we took off. We went up into a storm cloud. Looking outside of my window and seeing lightening bolts right there was not my idea of fun!
I had a window seat at the wing and for the most part, it was awesome! We went over a few storms and to watch lightning just appear in the middle of thin air made me speechless. However, I will agree that when we went through one storm and the lightning was all around us, I did pray a little.

Love MCO, it is a good airport and one of my favorites of all that I've ever been to... except when I arrive there I'm too busy flying towards the Magical Express to pay much notice to it.

Careful what you wish for, we had 6 hrs to check it out on the way home. Bad storms in Philly shut the airport down.

I've considered the Yacht Club for my next Disney trip just for access to Stromalong bay...

....but then you post this pic and I'm just :cloud9: There's my Boardwalk. I must return there. That's my home.
That's how I am with the BC! We talked about the Boardwalk but I think if we had a B/W view, we'd stare at the BC and just wish we were there. I love staying at the B/C and staring at the BW.

All I have to say is.... :scared1: You know that I went for Christmas/NYE last Christmas. And maybe the crowds were like that for me at DHS on NYE at midnight... and I know that the MK had to have been packed like that ... it closed to capacity!... but for the most part of my trip I actually was able to avoid being in a place that looked like that. That's just nuts!... or maybe it wasn't so bad in person?

...ok, ok.. maybe Main Street was like that for me on Christmas Eve after the fireworks. One tends to forget that type of thing quickly.

Funny you should say that. If I didn't have pics, I would have probably forgotten the crowds myself. They were bad here and there but for the most part it was pretty good. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I could!

And just where was your notepad to jot down notes? Did you learn nothing from my TR???

Humph!
LOL Tina said the same thing when I told her I was going to do a trip report!
I was going to take a few notes at the end of the day but I was absolutely existed!
My dog ate them?
There wasn't any pens.
No, wait, how about the TSA took my notepad when we got to MCO!
Yep, I'm sticking with that one. Stupid TSA!

Please let me know what you think of the Kim Possible Missions from an adult point of view. I thought that I might try it on my next visit.
Well, I'll have to ask my mom or Tina. See, most of the time I was jumping up and down more than the kids. 99% of the time, I felt like I was 5 again. I think the girls were kind of board. I would do it again with just me and the boys. Tina, I'm sure, would pass.
Can't wait for more. popcorn::
Soon. I've been swamped lately.
Hopping on for the ride ! WOW that is a LOT of pics. You can now be officially known as the 'King of Pics at WDW' :lmao:Can't wait to hear all about it! BCV is my FAV! we are trying AKV for the first time and a bit nervous, hope it stands up to our BCV stays :goodvibes You make it seem as we are right there on the grounds with those pics of yours, they're Awesome. It is wonderful to have a sweet family to share it with :wizard: Your boys look so happy in your pics! We'll be heading there real soon, can't wait! oh and  for your dad.

From what I hear, you will love the AKV. Next year we may try another resort and I hope it is at least 1/2 as good as the Beach Club. I think the worse part is deciding to try something new. After you get there it will be just as special in it's own way I'm sure.

As for the king of pics, don't mention that on the photography boards, they are true gods over there. Quantity means nothing when you have pics that look like theirs do!

Rob,

I'm in~ we stayed at the Beach Club in 2006 and loved it. One of my favorite pictures is the sunrise over the BC Villas as we waited at the bus stop. We're going to the Poly this time only because I wanted to try a monorail resort, but your BC pictures are so tempting.

I lost my dad in 1997 and my mom has been fighting cancer for the past 6 years, so I completely understand your determination to enjoy every moment. Family is the most important thing and I've learned that tomorrow might be too late to appreciate them!

Poly looked very nice. I'd do that over the Contemporary if the monorail is important. Ohana's is great and the drinks are delicious! There's plenty of spots for beautiful pictures all over the hotel!

Enjoy every moment says it all. That's the main reason for a lot of the pictures (the other reason is for the Disboards!) It's important to have special moments in life, it's special when you have a picture 10 years later to bring you back to those moments.

I just found you trip report and you can count me in! Great family and great pix!
My DH and I always talk about how much we missed on our first trip...but at the time we thought we had seen and done SO much. That's what I love about Disney... There is always something that will be "new" for the next trip.

Isn't it crazy! When we came home from the first trip we thought we did everything. When we started seeing pics from other people's trip reports we felt like we missed out on so many things! I think we did just about everything we were after and more this year! I can't wait till I'm done this report so I can start planning next year's trip!

Guys and gals, please be paient. I've been extremely busy with life (good things) but will have an update soon. I'm in the middle of one right now and will hopefully have the pics uploaded in the next day or so.

Just read through page one and you have me wishing I could go before August 9th. Great pictures!

So, where were we? Oh, yea, walking down Main Street……We could see the show going on at the castle but there weren’t really any spots up close to the castle and more people were still showing up. We veered off to the right of the castle and took up a like spot along the walkway.
Still not a bad view I’d say…..

Here’s another example up what I was talking about. After the show we started to head to the Tea Cups. The boys HAD to do the Tea Cups! While heading over I snapped a shot of the landscaping.
dis353.jpg

Absolutely perfect I tell ya! Even though there aren’t crowds gathering to see how maintained the flowers are, or how perfect the grass is, Disney really goes out of their way to make sure everything is just right and picturesque.

Off to the Teacups. I wanted to try to be creative a little even though it’s probably been done a thousand times over already.

Next up…..

dis420.jpg

So you guessed it, on to Buzz Lightbeer Space ranger spin (It’s from Toy Story-not a spelling error!) We grabbed the Fastpasses so we could ride again after waiting in standby. Wait time wasn’t to bad, I occupied myself by……..wait for it……..yep, you guessed it. Taking pictures.

First ride is up and we have a few minutes to kill so we step outside and try to shield our eyes from the sun. After being inside with the black lights, if you don’t have the sunglasses handy it takes a minute to focus. But, what better to focus on than the man himself!

dis548.jpg

dis574.jpg

dis575.jpg

dis576.jpg

I must warn you. If you are getting your picture taken, and tell him that Evil Emperor Zurg is standing right behind him, there is a chance you will get a finger in your ear or scolded for giving a false alarm. I felt the need to run after reminding him that he is just a toy! The look I got told me it was time to run before I got hit with a laser! Awesome guy to meet and the kids LOVED him!

Now that we’ve met the man himself, it’s time to use those fastpasses! Back to Space Ranger and more pics!

Fastpasses gone, we headed over to see Mommom Ginny’s favorite character, Pooh! I grab fastpasses for everybody and what do ya know, a surprise Fastpass!

I know Philharmagic isn’t a big to-do for most people and a lot of people would have thrown them away, but we hadn’t ever done it yet so we were looking forward to it. Well, at least I was. I needed more pictures after all! With ½ hr to kill we walked around and I grabbed a couple more pics here and there.

dis716.jpg

dis717-1.jpg

Finally, time to go take more pictu…….I mean see the show! We went into the Philharmagic holding area and I was cracking up at the posters hanging on the wall.

dis730.jpg

Just before the doors open up…

dis734.jpg

dis737.jpg

And finally we get seated. Is that not a cool stage or what? I’m telling you, Disney is all about the details.

dis742.jpg

dis743.jpg

If you’ve never seen the show, it’s in 3D animation. I really liked it since it had cartoon characters from multiple classics and since it’s indoors, and air conditioned, I liked it even more on a mid 90’s day. I know these aren’t the best of pictures, but ½ the reason for a trip report is to give someone else a walk down memory lane. When we went in, I grabbed an extra pair of 3D glasses. I put the glasses in front of my camera and got these…..

Philharmagic done, we wonder out into the warm Florida sun. Logan informs us that it is now time to eat, and he wants Pizza. Thank you fellow diser’s for the recommendation for Pinocchio’s! The pizzas were pretty good and it counts as a counter service meal, what more could you ask for? Pinocchio’s seems like it’s a pretty popular place. It was pretty crowded and we got lucky and grabbed a table as soon as we walked in. The noise level can definitely get up there at times, but it’s worth going to. When Mommom Ginny and Tina stood in line to place our order, I sat with the boys and, yep you guessed it, took more pictures.

Stomachs full we head out and step over to see Pooh. Wait time was 40 minutes but we still have the fast passes from earlier. Total wait time for us was 10 min.

I liked the yellow tape with the honey bees that you stand behind. See, it’s the little things I’ve come to love. It boggles my mind that Disney has people who’s job it is, is to say things like “That yellow tape should have bees in it.” I’m telling you, Disney IS details.
Anywho…
The ride was MUCH faster than I remember from last year. I’m not sure if it was fast because the lines were long or maybe it’s always been like that and my memory is just a little hazy from last year, but it was more like a child’s roller coaster than a nice trip through Hundred Acre Woods. It was fast and jerky and kind of flipped my stomach a little (I did eat too much.) It was very hard to get a decent shot off, but here’s a little bit of a blurry trip down memory lane.

The whole ride was over in less than a minute. I’m pretty sure it was longer last year, but who knows. I would have been upset if we did the Standby Line for 40 minutes and done in 41.

Moving on.

Still lovin' your pictures. Pooh is my favorite character as well. And, we love Philharmagic, it may be our favorite attraction at the MK. I am glad you went to see it.

Great photos - add me to the list of patiently waiting viewers! popcorn::

Just got caught up. Great report. The pics are great.

I love :love::love:Philharmagic. It is one of my favorite shows. I love singing all the songs and I just love Donald at the end, he just makes me laugh. Your pictures were great: again. I'm loving walking down memory lane. I can't wait for April 29th, just 300 days away. On Sunday mornings when our kids are with their Dad, my DH and I will watch our last 3 trips to Disney on DVD. We just love remembering...

Keep the pictures coming they are terrific. Your family is great.

You are so right! It is all in the details! I just love the fact that there is always some little detail that you will fall in love with and other people will have never even noticed it. It kind of makes it that much more special for you. GREAT TRIP REPORT! I am really enjoying a trip down memory lane. :cloud9:

HI!

I just read a thread about how Disney "has lost the magic" and it was so depressing - nice to come back to your report and find the magic still allive!

What a lovely family - I can't wait to read more!

Thanks for the pictures of the little details. You have shown me a lot of what I don't pay attention to. It's hard when you have little ones to take the time but I planning on doing just that on our next trip.

I hear you! When we went for the first time last year, I hung out on these boards so much just falling in love all over again with all of WDW. My brother is talking about going next October. If April is 300 away, I'm going to cry when I figure out how far away our trip will be!

I must admit, most of the things I saw I never would have noticed if it weren't for these boards. But there are so many things that are so cool and beatiful, that even when you know what you're looking for them, when you see them for the first time it just like WOW!

HI!

I went through the same thing. I read all about losing the magic before we went and I was actually getting worried about how our vacation was going to go. The best advise I got before we went was "When you stop trying to have fun, you WILL HAVE FUN!" The magic is still alive if you let it happen, I promise.

Thanks for the pictures of the little details. You have shown me a lot of what I don't pay attention to. It's hard when you have little ones to take the time but I planning on doing just that on our next trip.

Sometimes the little ones enjoy the little things just as much as us big kids. But once in a while if you can get 15 minutes a day to yourself, it's pretty special to just take it in. Like overthemoon4mickey said, when you come across little details you never noticed before, it's kind of special like it's just for you.

What a great trip report! I am really enjoying seeing all of your pictures. They are getting me so excited for my own trip in just a few weeks. Keep the posts coming!

I am really enjoying your TR and the pictures. Oh, the pictures! They are awesome. I told DH the title of your TR and he now knows that there is someone out there that took more pictures than we did! We take 3 or 4 different cameras with us and depending on where we go is what drives what we carry. Still learning my XTI but I am very inspired by your TR.

Can wait to read (and see) more! popcorn::
