I am really enjoying your TR and the pictures. Oh, the pictures! They are awesome. I told DH the title of your TR and he now knows that there is someone out there that took more pictures than we did! We take 3 or 4 different cameras with us and depending on where we go is what drives what we carry. Still learning my XTI but I am very inspired by your TR.

Can wait to read (and see) more!

The XTI is a really nice camera! I'm hopping to move into the DSLR world next year, for now my P80 will have to do. Just make sure you enjoy it for yourself also, not just through the lense.

I don't think we actually went in but I've seen pictures of it. Next time I'll make sure of it. I can't wait to start going through everybody else's reports so I can start our "next time" list!

Mickey's Philiharmagic! has to be one of my favorite things to see at WDW. I love that show! I don't think that I could ever attempt to capture it on camera; I'm normally too engrossed in the show to even recall that I own a camera!

I was wondering when I'd get the next, ummm, reminder.

The 4th was awesome, the 5th not so much. Just got finished working on the car Tuesday evening. Work has been crazy and I've just been exhausted. BUT, I do have an update!

So, after our roller coaster through the Hundred Acre Woods, and 45 seconds of air conditioning, we walk outside and at 2:00 in the afternoon, IT IS HOT OUT. It was right around 95 degrees by then and shade is what we are after. I pull out our trusty map of the Kingdom and scroll through till I find Tom Sawyer’s Island. It’s another one of those thing’s we didn’t even know existed till after we got home last year. We filled up out misty spray bottles and grab some lemonade (diet seems to be the only kind you can buy for the most part) and head over. Mommom Ginny sees the raft that takes you across the river and decides she’ll be better off keeping an eye on the stroller. By the time we get over to the island, it’s now 2:30 and I’m telling you, the shade was just what the doctor called for. The shade from the trees must have dropped the temp by at least 10 degrees and let us explore without passing out.

I think Tom’s Island was pretty cool as there were things we really didn’t see like the paint brushes but really, it was just too hot and we were really feeling it.

We decided to show up for dinner a little early so we could get to see the hotel a little so we started towards Main Street and what do ya know, it’s 3:00 and here comes the parade. As much as we were all thirsty for some nice cold air conditioning, the kids can not get enough of seeing their favorite characters on parade. We didn’t really have the best spot since it was spur of the moment, but I threw Nate on my sholders and we waved to everybody as they went by.

Parade over, and an awesome job by the way, we had down main street and onto the monorail.
Side Note: There are TWO monorails. One for the resorts and one for the TTA (sp?) Make sure you get on the correct one!

We head over to the Contemporary for dinner at, yes that’s right, Chef Mickey’s!!!

Still a little early I take the kids into the arcade and Tina and my mom go off to do what they do best. No, not astrophysics, they are there to shop! We hang out for and hour or so and get our pressed pennies than make our way to the restaurant. As pricey as the character meals are, if you’re on the dinning plan with kids, it’s definitely worth it. The food is pretty good in my opinion (remember, I’m not a professional critic!) and the fact that you aren’t standing in line in 150 degree heat makes it a bargain!

The only thing I would change was the pictures they took. Don’t get me wrong, they were perfect. I was just a little surprised that you need to pay extra for them. I thought they would be able to put them on a photopass CD but that was a no go. I felt weird when they came over selling them to us, but I guess that’s just because I wasn’t expecting it. I still have to scan the ones they took and I’ll post them later I promise.

For now, here’s the ones I took.

I told you before, this is a kid friendly trip report, NO FOOD PORN! I kind of feel bad about not getting pics of the drinks from the bar, they were delicious! I did try to get some pics of at least my drinks, but they were gone so fast I couldn’t even get my camera turned on. And after the second drink, the pics started getting blurry…..can’t figure that one out!

You may have noticed the kids wearing the white gloves with Minnie. We picked them up at the Emporium because they NEEDED to be able to do the magic that Mickey does. Well, not only are they good for bringing magic to the world, they also make great pillows for the ride home.

We head back to the Beach House to make it a pool night. It’s been a long hot day and a cold drink by the pool sounded like the best idea I’d heard in a long while.

Looking back, we really did a lot and this is just the end of day 4! Stay tuned boys and girls, there’s plenty more to come. See ya real soon!

It's not the most fasinating thing in the world, it's just different. I'd definately do it again but I've read mixed reviews. Take a nice fresh iced drink with you and enjoy that in the shade. I've read that there are different hidden things set up for you to find but we just tried to keep up with the boys.

I saw them in quite a few shops this year. If I'm remembering correctly, I think they were about $14.
