Nope, didn't say that at all. I have been quite clear that I think the issue is very complicated and that all sides need to be looked at. BUT just saying that if there is no proof then there is no sexual assault goes to far in the other direction.

Sexual assault has always been a tricky situation. Rape can most likely be proven if the woman goes to the police and hospital immediately. Harassment can't always be proved. We can teach our children that harassment is never ok and it's the right thing to speak up and loudly. So many women said they didn't know how to speak up. It's time we teach them how to.

Men can be and are sometimes falsely accused and they should not have to atone for another man's crime.

By this point Disney legal has to have heard about this and other internet posts on the subject. I’m sure someone will post if any action is taken that will impact his performances.

And again, show me how Bob has been tarred, feather and ruined? He still has his job, many other men who have been accused still have their jobs. An accusation does not guarantee that a person gets tarred feathered and ruined.

I don't understand this thought process. He can defend himself, and even right now when he hasn't said a word many many people, even just within this thread believe his side already. And even after Disney was notified he wasn't out of job. So an accusation does not automatically equal the end of his "good name".

I think that false accusations exist, and I think they are deplorable. But the idea that an accusation can hurt someone who "does good things for charity and has a good name" so therefore no one should make accusations doesn't sit well with me.

This person, Michelle, is allowed to make her accusation, she has that right. If she is making a false accusation, I do hope that she pays a price for that, as it makes things harder for every person who is truly assaulted. However, just because the person she is accusing is likable and does things for charity doesn't mean she has to stay quiet about her allegations.

However, I will concede that her asking people to start a campaign of sending emails to Disney does not sit well with me at all.

This is so sad to hear. I tend to believe the accuser in almost all cases even in this one.

I haven't read the whole thread but has anyone mentioned that Bob has Aspergers? I've been told by multiple CMs that Bob has turned his Aspergers traits into this high energy non-stop show that he does. Once I was told this I started noticing odd things here and there that he does that are explained by Aspergers. I'm not trying to excuse this behavior but I am wondering if this is a social cues type of thing that Bob just didn't understand.

Having Aspergers doesn't mean that you have an excuse to grab someone's butt. Someone with Aspergers might have trouble reading body language related to who does and doesn't want a hug but they can understand that you don't go around grabbing butts.

I agree, I wasn't trying to excuse his behavior. Just trying to give a possible explanation. A reason why that might not be attributed to malice but still doesn't excuse the behavior.

We need to teach our kids to speak up for themselves, in the moment and loudly if we really want to stop inappropriate touching in situations such as these alleged accusations against Bob. I don't know what he did or didn't do, but as an adult woman, I just cannot imagine myself not reacting verbally and physically ( moving away). I would never just stand there with a hand on my butt. I am not particularly confrontational, and am quite shy, but no one is touching me and getting away with it. You may think I'm victim blaming, but I mean to empower them to say NO! And DO something, a real something about it. Which they can, and it will be a much more effective and satisfying defense.
