What a day!!! Up bright an early to get AP rates for my CSR ressie. I had thought last night I was actually going to book WL because it was only $30 more/nt. Then I discovered WL didn't have hi speed internet---have to work this trip, no more vac. time.
After 90 mins on hold I find out no AP for CSR. Checked CR but by that time the $174 rooms were gone and the rate was $219. Remember I've only stayed at POP with a $49 rate. To me these rates are up there!!! But big mouth me promised my ds we'd go for his 9th b-day since the AP's don't expire until SEpt before I realized it was regular season not value!
So I spent half the day trying to figure out what to do when it came to me...what about DVC? To make a long story short I ended up with POP from June 16-19, then we'll move over to VWL for the last 5 nts. The three days at POP I can work from my blackberry and use dial up if necessary. VWL has high speed.
Total cost is $948 for 8nts which is less than my caa rate at csr for 7nts.
I am so excited but at the same time not looking forward to changing resorts. Some of you may recall me saying more than once I am too lazy to switch resorts mid trip because i am a complete unpacker. But those weekend pt values at the DVC are insane!!! And a 5 nt trip is out of the question!
I have always been more than happy with POP, I am afraid after VWL I will never go back to POP again!
