good morning cheerleaders!!!

i would LOVE to be able to plan something for next summer...i'm not sure if i could do it, but i'd love to try! heck, i wonder if matthew would go for it...even if for just a few days...i'd even be willing to drive down...hmmm...the wheels are a spinning...but if i want to try for DISCON next year, i may have to sacrifice a summer trip...

EEK ACK!!!! DD is being inducted to National Honor Society tonite. Was told to "dress presentably". She has on MY plain knee length black skirt, a crimson sweater set I bought myself jsut recently, and is complaining that MY feet are too small for her to borrow one of my several pairs/styles of black "work" shoes SHe has one pair open toe black (bbbbrrrrrrr) and one pair black pumps which she refuses to wear becasue they are "gross". oops......she's changed into one of her OWN sweaters ........still barefoot though hehehehe

Good morning.........

yikes...life is sure a roller coater with a teenager. The NHS ceremony was very nice and DD looked great in MY outfit and HER "ugly" shoes
However, when we got home, there were whispered phone conversations and frantic AOL-IMing and tears....she and the boyfriend are having "issues" well, rather HE is but you can't say "I told you so" to a broken hearted 16 year old. Too serious, too fast, too young. Sigh. Though they haven't "broken up"...apparently he's just"thinking" about their relationship........

meanwhile, DH and I are celebrating 9 years of marriage today

good morning everyone!!

this weather is wreaking havoc on my body here. it just can't decide if it wants to be warm or freezing...my throat is beginning to hurt...i'm coughing constantly...i can't stop sneezing...i have horrible sinus pressure which is causing headaches...this weather sucks...and then, i doubt this has anything to do with the weather, but everything i eat gives me horrific heartburn!! i just can't win...

i did have a delicious bowl of oatmeal this morning! hubby made it for me before we left...he put brown sugar, butter, and raisins in it...it was wonderful!! but now i have this horrific heartburn...ick...

hope everyone has a good day...i'll just be here at work...suffering...i DON'T want to be here...

congrats on the 9 years o'marriage!! here's to many, many more!!

ahhh...teenage love...was there once myself! that was when DH and i were first together. we were the ones that got way to serious way to fast too. we told everyone that we would be together forever and everyone told us that we were just too young and didn't know any better. well, in a roundabout way, we were right in the fact that we'd be together forever...but not before our hearts were slaughtered causing us to spend 10 long years apart...teenage love sucks...best of luck in that situation!!

ahhh...teenage love...was there once myself

me too but much too long ago....

I will NEVER EVER forget my eldest son's first broken heart I felt his pain as it were my own
It was a 2 year relationship that ended when they went off to separate colleges my son being the dumpie

Now I have to worry about Mike. His 3rd anniversary with his girlfriend is coming up in December. They are both juniors. I never thought it was a good thing but what was I to do? I couldn't break them up. I never in a million years thought it would have lasted this long. Another year and a half and they'll be off to college It scares me .......
She is the daughter of very good friends of ours...such good friends that we travel together and camp together.....makes it very convenient for them They've been to Disney 3 times together already. And to think the first time they went Mike was so shy they never even spoke together the entire trip...they were 12 at the time We bought our camping trailers together and go everywhere together.....
I just worry that one of them will be hurt terribly
Now her MOm (my friend) on the other hand thinks its great...she and her hubby dated all thru high school and got married and lived happily ever after....to me......that is the exception, not the rule.

Oh btw, up till now they have NEVER had the opportunity to be alone her parents are strict and very aware of her every move and we are to....of Mike's

Oh enough rambling from me.....didn't mean to bore you all....blame Ann .....She got me on this subject
