I have reservations at the YC Concierge in Nov. Can anyone tell me about the Concierge service, Food, etc? I have never had Concierge before.

Thanks

I think the YC concierge is the best!! Be sure and use them for pre-planning. That's where they really shine. Hard to get PS's and cruise reservations, etc. They even help with shopping for gifts for the kids, etc. The lounge is very nice. Not too big but I like it that way. Seems intimate. In the morning they will have a continental breakfast that's always very nice. Plenty of breads, cereals, fruit, etc. There's a small area for children too with little tables and chairs and a TV at their eye level. Juices, coffee and soft drinks. During the day they have some kind of snacks, pretzels, dips, chips, goldfish, etc. In the evening I think their offerings are very nice. Everything from cheeses and vegetable, chicken, to clams and mussels. They change daily but I always find that whatever they have is ususally very good. They have things for the kids too, pb&j sandwiches and ususally a hot dish like macaroni-n-cheese or some sort of noodles or something. They also have wine available and you can ask for beer. Later in the evening they have desserts and cordials. The homemade cookies are delicious and they always have very good pies and cakes. You should get an elevator key to the fifth floor prior to your arrival. Just go straight up to the fifth floor to check in. It's a breeze. You'll feel like royalty.

Hi,

I'm trying the YC for the first time for our upcoming December trip. If you haven't spoken to a concierge pre-planner, then I'd suggest you drop them an e-mail at WDW.YBBW.Concierge@disney.com. I've been working with Annalisa and she's been terrific. I gave her my address as she mentioned mailing out some resort information to me. Was I ever surprised when I got this big manilla envelope filled with park information and maps, recreation, Downtown Disney, water parks, information on the offerings at the Yacht Club and a questionnaire to fill out. They can take care of priority seatings, child care, entertainment tickets, pretty much anything that you need.

My first experience with them has been wonderful.

The YC pre-planning staff (IPO) is shared with BWI / YC / BC
We are going to the BC in August and I can also vouch for the pre-planners being very wonderful.

They gave me several suggestions of activities, special ressies my family might like, & gifts. They have been so helpful and freindly.
I found out my DSIL was going to meet us at Disney, so I had to call IPO, and re-arrange a number of PS. While I was on the phone, they checked what times were available and made all the changes. Then they emailed a copy of my itinerary to me, so I could verify all the changes and I could have all the confirmation numbers.

Make sure you contact them early, either by phone or email, to let them know you are coming. They will send you a package of information. It will also contain the all important key, that lets you take the elevator to the 5th floor. You will check-in with the concierge staff rather than the front desk.

Thanks for all of the info!! I already received my key to the fifth floor a week or so ago.. Does the pre-planning staff have any info on codes coming out, or how to get a lower rate?? I'll have to e-mail them and have them send me info on Disney..

Thanks
:)
