Yay! I ordered my new PC!

I just ordered my new Dell PC! My current computer is just a spec under five years old, and it gives me so much trouble! I can't do anything on it without getting several error messages. I can't wait to get my new Dell with the DVD drive in about 10 days

I'm going to set up my old PC in the living room so that my 75 year old dad who has never touched a computer in his life can try to play the Hoyle casino game I have on it. Hopefully once I take off some of the extra programs on my old PC, it will run a little better so dad can play some games on it without too many problems.

We have a new (OK, it's several months old) Dell and we LOVE it. We upgraded to cable internet as well and I can't imagine going back to my old dinosaur with dial up!

My daughter bought a Dell about a month ago (it isn't up and running yet because the stipulation was her room had to be cleaned before she could have her computer - trust me, it would take this long).

I purchased a Dell laptop for our office a year ago and had to make a tech call due to the prongs in one of the usb ports was damaged, accidentally, and they were here and replaced it in less than 12 hours and they were AWESOME about it all. It took a bit on the phone but I was very happy with the service. I know others who have had horrible troubles but that has prompted me to want another Dell at home when we go to replace our home computer.

My husband has a Dell at his office and he loves it.

What a great idea to set up your old pc so that your father can use it. I'll bet he has fun playing that casino game

Our Dell is 4 years old and we are hoping to order a new Dell 8300 before the current offer expires tomorrow! Just got to sit down with DH and have him nail down a few choices. Dan helped me on a thread this past Sunday.
We love our Dell. DH has one at work too and is all he will use. Enjoy! Maybe we will be getting ours right after you.
DS will get this one as DD does not need one in her room yet.

We just bought two Dells in January - a laptop and an 8300. I have to admit we did have problems the first week. After a couple of calls to tech support (long story) everything was fixed. I can't say that I care for their tech support people, because I can't understand them. I've heard from others here on the DIS that they are from India. The one I dealt with had a particularly thick accent. Add to that fact, that I could barely speak from a cold (he told me to get a drink of water and was otherwise pretty obnoxious), I hope I don't get him again. But Dell has been great for us overall. We now have 4 Dells in our family.
