YAY for the Black Friday ads....

But I bet he doesn't mind you saving a buck, does he? :teeth:

Yep, you might want to get there by 5. Not sure what time the Walmart in your area opens, I think the one here opens at 6:00, which means you have to be there at least by 5 to stand in line.

Mine opens at 6 on Black Friday. The sale is from 6-10, usually.

LOL! He tells me I'd save an even bigger buck if I didn't go shopping.;) I usually suggest he go instead so he can fight the crowds, and he usually pretends like he never said a word.;)

heh heh, typical male.

Be sure to bring yourself a mug of hot chocolate and wear layers! I always wear a couple of shirts under a big sweatshirt for waiting in line, and then take off some of the clothing when I get inside the store, because of course with all those people in there its broiling hot. I also only wear a fanny pack so I can keep my hands free.

I have the whole thing down to a science, if you can't already tell. :teeth:

Snoopy I knew there was something I liked about you! :D
I love shopping Black Friday! I have my stuff in hand, coffee in a very large travel mug and a protien bar! Don't want to get light headed!

I was talking to my neighbor earlier today about Black Friday, she and her DH do it every year. I've never done it, but I'm going to this Friday.

They had a few tips for me, but the most important one was about holding on to your shopping cart no matter what. Her DH told me that 2 years ago on B.F. at Target, they wanted to buy a scooter for their DD. Apparently, they sold out really fast (as usual) and they got one. Her DH walked about 3 ft. away from their cart and a lady grabbed it and started to walk away with it (the scooter was in it!). He told the lady that she was taking their cart, the lady said that it was hers! They got into a verbal argument and after exchanging some nasty words, the lady left without their cart.

So whatever you do, hold on to your cart!

The same thing happened to my brother one year, Rita, he was at Toys R Us during Black Friday shopping for his kids. Power Rangers was all the rage then, I believe, and it was some Power Ranger toy that all the kids had to have. Anyway, some really old lady stole his cart with his Power Ranger toy in it! Jack said she was like 90. He lost his composure and forgot his manners and nearly knocked the woman to the ground. :teeth:

Fortunately, she didn't put up much of a fight and gave his cart back, trying to pretend as if she had mistaken his for her own. But he noticed that she didn't actually have a cart of her own, LOL.

The same thing happened to me at TRU a few years back. They had the Disney Trivia game (1st year it was out) on salefor a doorbuster price (really cheap). I saw the last one on the shelf and right at the same time I took it, another "lady" grabbed it out of my hands! I said that I just took it off the shelf - her reply? "Too Bad, you weren't quick or strong enough" - I just stared at her in disbelief with my mouth hanging open - my blood was boiling so I said Merry F***ing Christmas to you. I know my language was uncalled for,but I was sooooo pissed off. I thought this was the season for goodwill toward men - I guess it wasn't for her huh?

wow..
you women take your sales seriously...

Yep, black friday shopping can get very ugly. I just try to dart in, get what I want and get out of there asap. So far I haven't ever had any of the stuff you hear about happen to me but I figure it will sooner or later.

Too bad they can't hook those prices up on their website during the Black Friday hours! It would save me a headache! I'm a dreamer.;)

I have heard conflicting reports that you can do this.. or another way is this.. buy it now, off sale, and then get a price match during Black Friday time. .. Kmart yesterday told me that they price match up to 14 days of original purchase, I bet Target/Wal mart would do the same.

i have it down to a science as well , I make a spreadsheet, and bring the competitors ads as well, (most stores price match)

I actually picked up quite a few things yesterday at Kmart (Leap Pad books $9) so I bought quite a few things here yesterday
