So I was chatting on the phone with a friend of mine and we got on the subject of our upcoming trip to Disney. She is a dog trainer so I asked her for any recommendations on a kennel because I just moved to this area less than a year ago and she's been here longer. Her reply was:

"Why do you need a Kennel? Rosie (my dog) is coming to stay with Auntie M for a week."

She is such a sweetheart! We talked about it and she DOES have ulterior motives though! Her dog just passed away a few months ago and her and her sons really want to get a new dog but her husband doesn't want one. She thinks Rosie can convince him he's wrong.

I'm just so happy. Not only do I not have the expense of a kennel, but my pup will be in a house she knows, with people she knows and they love her. What a relief!

That's so nice!

My big doggie (Akita) stays home and has dog-sitters come see him 3 x day. It would be nicer for him to go to a house like Rosie, but at least being in his own environment, and getting to go out in his own fenced-in back yard, etc. is WAY better than being caged up at a kennel for 3 days to a week or more.

If I had lost my dog, I'd offer to keep someone else's for them, too!
