I might be the only one that thinks this, but I am just fine with Yavn reminding EVERYONE what the rules are of the game. He's just trying to keep all "us kids" safe in the game.

VMK, we KNOW it's a free game. However, we also feel that you are not recognizing the role that your loyal fan base has in promoting the game, spending real money on the pins that get us codes for the game, spending real money on DVDs that used to get us codes that could get us goodies in game, etc....

There is a "we don't really care if we insult you" attitude lately coming from the VMK team (not the in-game staff) that used to not exist. Why is this so difficult for you to understand?

You sent the entire class to detention because 2 kids in the entire school cheated on a paper. The ONLY thing that accomplished was making the cheaters' reward greater. If you REALLY wanted to hurt those that were cheating, you would have EXTENDED the quest by a few days to let more people legitimately earn their prizes so they don't go to the cheaters and trade the world for the prizes. This would have not hurt those who worked hard to get through it, would have lowered the reward that the cheaters are hoping for through trades or sales, and would have made you look giving and kind.

And of course there is confusion now about the new event and pin trading. Funny how all of us can see that, but they could not.

To this day I am a terrible hunt and peck typist. My typing skill are even worse when I am in a hurry to get something out. Again, hugs to anyone else that struggles with typing.

Yes, but if you were paid to work on a game for the marketing department of a multi-Billion dollar company, I bet you would have someone else at least glance at your work before you published it to the world.

ETA: VMK Pal... I have been told directly from VMK hosts "It is not approved by VMK, but we do not ban for using it."

Trust me, the typing class helps nothing, besides typing faster. For me, I still can't type without making grammar errors.

I am with you and I always have to go back and recheck myself. Thank goodness for spell and grammer check.

Yes, but if you worked on a game for the marketing department of a multi-Billion dollar company, I bet you would have someone else at least glance at your work before you published it to the world.

Oh we didn't do anything like that, yet at the end of my typing class last
year I could type 108 words a minute. With like 2 mistakes.

Hugs to Yavn about the typos. I make more than my fair share of them. To some of the younger players...This may help you understand why some of us may not be the best typists.


My experience was this:
When I was in high school we had the choice of either typing (now known as keyboarding) or computer programming. Back in the day it was a BIG deal to even have a computer class offered at a public high school. I chose the computer programming class.

To this day I am a terrible hunt and peck typist. My typing skill are even worse when I am in a hurry to get something out. Again, hugs to anyone else that struggles with typing.

PS Since "tired" is a valid word, it would not be caught by spell check.

If you know that you can't type then you should at least read what you wrote after writing it. Even more in the case of an official web site because you are paid to do it . (I know I make mistakes in English but I am out of the consideration because I dont speak it.)

Otherwise concerning what has been written on the Yavn's section, I have nothing to say except that it makes me in part laugh.

Sorry, I find this a bit offensive. Not everyone who won the quest was either a 'super nerd' or 'rich'.

Is vmk a free game? Did I miss something? Sheesh. I'm pretty sure we were all aware of that fact, however...because of vmk, DIRECTLY because of vmk, I took 3 trips to the parks. I had no plans on doing so until meeting friends on vmk and wanting some of those park quest only items. SO, for those who, like me, spent REAL MONEY on Disney, I don't think it's 100% accurate to call vmk free, more accurate would be a well spent advertising budget. But thanks for the reminder that it was only created to promote the 50th Celebration. Some of the newer players may not have known that.

Let's see? VMK or in case we don't know what that means - Virtual Magic Kingdom - isn't just free it is FREE.

Well as others have said, I have spent countless REAL $$$ on VMK. My choice, absolutely but still it has not been free for me. Movies for 3 kids and me so we could get the home theater, the dancing inferno, etc. Pins for the 4 of us so we could have all the cool pirate treasures. Trips to the parks so we could get the in-park only quest cards and virtual items like a silly candy machine or hat! FREE doesn't come to mind anytime soon!

And let's see? Oh yeah - VMK was started because of the 50th Anniversary of DL. I know that all to well too! First ever trip to DL from the other coast. Why? The celebration of course, but also for the silly virtual 50th items!

I don't know, but both statements sound like the games announced for this weekend have already begun! It's FREE but will it remain free. And it started for the 50th which is now over so will VMK as it was first created be over. The games have begun!
