Yatchsman for annitversary dinner

In May DH & I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary I just made dinner reservations for that night at the Yatchsman Steak House. We have never eaten here. 2 Questions:

1. Is the food good here and worth its price; and
2. How is the atmosphere in this restaurant i.e. romantic?

I know about Victoria & Alberts, but that just isn't "us".

My husband and I ate there on our honeymoon in 1998 and again on our 6th anniversary this past November. We both enjoyed the food, which was quite pricey, but very good. The service was wonderful. My husband had mentioned that it was our anniversary when we checked in for our PS, and they gave us a lovely table next to a window. We were able to see the fireworks from Illuminations. I thought it was very romantic. You will find different opinions, I am sure, but for us, a couple of steak lovers, it was great! Congratulations on your 20th!

YSH is my one of our faviorate places to eat , another concideration may be Bistro de Paris in Epcot small , outstanding food and service ,and you may be able to see illuminations durring dinner

We really enjoy the Yachtsman. It is a bit pricey but not more than any other upscale steak place. If you like mushrooms they have marinated ones that are listed as a side on the menu although I requested them as an appetizer and I was VERY pleasantly surprised at not only how good they were but they gave me a LOT of them. I usually order prime rib there but the other entrees are good too. I think you'll enjoy it. It is a nice atmosphere but not stuffy at all.

We ate there on Saturday March 5th. It was the worst meal of the trip. DW and I both got the Filet and they were both undercooked and not very good on the second go round. We had better meals at CG, Narcoosees and Citricos. I also had better steak at Shula's.

1. Is the food good here and worth its price?
YES, the best steak on Disney property! The fillet is so tender, my family loves it there.

2. How is the atmosphere in this restaurant i.e. romantic?
YES, especially in the rotunda area! I would suggest you arrive early, check in at the podium, and request a nice table in the rotunda. If they do not have one available, tell them you will wait in the Crews Cup Lounge and have a premeal drink. Also, make sure that your anniversary is noted on your PS, and you will get a nice little surprise for dessert. (If you save room!)

You can beat Disney quality and service!
