1068.50!!!!

WOW! Good for you...but if you don't mind my asking...what do you sell to make that kind of money ? I'm having a good day if I break $100 after I pay for the ad!

Well , let me tell you, it was alot of work! And I'am the Pack Rat Queen! I was 18 when I first got married, and I laughed today when I sold wedding gifts from then (I'am 43 now!)
I have old clocks, pepsi clocks beer signs, bathing suits from the 50s you name it, I KEEP IT! I unloaded used clothes, horse tack dressers tents, camping gear (we upgraded to a moterhome)
I also EBAY big time! I sold stuff I bought on ebay and we recently moved so I sold all my old tupperware, pots/pans/knifes and you name it! If you think its ready for tha garbage throw it out there! 9 times out of 10 someone will buy it!

Thanks for sharing your "secret"--Maybe I toss too much to the dumpster. Funny now that you mention it mostly the things I would have never in a million years bought sold really easily and the stuff I would have paid for I got to pack up. I've been reading a little about E-bay, maybe that nicer stuff will sell there? I'll have to enlist DH's help for this though. Although if takes the edge off what he needs to spend on Disney that may be the kicker!!!LOL ;)

"4" -- have a great trip!

Istarted selling my daughter's nicer, name brand or new clothes so didn't wear on ebay. For the most part I did better than a garage sale. I made just under $1000.00 at my garage sale this year...I was surprized because I didn't have many big items to sell. Try Ebay..just don't browse too much while you're there...like the above post...I can always find something I like.

Another thing to remember while doing your yard sale is take the time to CLEAN everything and buy pre-printed yard sale price stickers( I found mine at Fred meyer) Or you can print them on your computer. Also hang up your clothes and un box shoes, toys, linins and the like and put them on tables opposed to the floor. Rent tables if you have to. Alot of older people shop yard sales and hate to bend over to look at stuff!
Ebay is great too I paid for almost our whole disney cruise AND our AKL lodging with my Ebay money~~~~~I've been on Ebay selling saince 1998
