My son was sooo happy that I got on this ride! He wanted to ride this the last time, but my nerves was not up to it, so he missed it. He is only 8 and he wouldn't ride unless I am with him, which is good. Well... on this latest trip which was a few days ago, I decided to try it and didn't want to let my son down again, so my daughter, son and I rode it...and... AAAHHHH.... YIPPEEEE....::Hand up in the air!::

We had a blast! I think I was the only one screeming on that ride. Oh who cares, I am not embarrassed by it... I HAD FUN!! :cheer2: And I am chicken when it comes to roller coaster!

My daughter though...well...she made it...but she was a little bit scared. I was sitting next to her and holding her tight. My son was at the back of us.

I want to do it again!!!!!!

Good job! Congrats! See all the fun you were missing? Last time we were down, my DS 4 wanted to ride it, but we were running short on time, and trying to space out our Fast Passes. We talked him into riding Space Mtn with us instead and he LOVED it .... almost forgot he missed the Barnstormer until he saw a picture the next day.

Awesome!! :cool1: Congrats. Next thing you know it'll be SM, BTMRR, and then onwards and upwards to RnR!

DH and I are 30 (with no kids) and the Barnstormer is one of our favorite rides!!!! I'm glad you enjoyed it as well!!

Thanks guys! OH NO! Not the SM! I don't think I could ever ever do that. Now, I have done BTMRR when I was a teenager and my stomach flipped upside down on me. I have to have my nerves very calm to make it on this one again. RrR...OH forget it! Cork screw... :sad2: I have to be real drunk to do this ride! :p

I'm glad that I tried it. NO more fear... OH BTW... We saw Goofy riding with this little boy. It was fun to watching them. I was hoping Goofy could ride with my son...maybe next time.

Aw, good for you!! :teeth: Sounds like it was a challenge for you to get on that ride, you should be proud! I bet your son was so proud of his mom too. :goodvibes

We can arrange that. :drinking1 :rotfl2: Though I'm not sure your stomach would be happy with you after the ride. :crazy2:

I'm glad you posted that! I have no little kids now and wondered if adults only could ride. I'm a roller coaster weenie but Barnstormer I can handle. SM jars every bone in my body & I'm too wimpy to try R 'n R. On an adventurous day, I go on BTMR...but breakfast had to be a bowl of Wheaties!

Meaning the next things Fantasia will have to try are Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain and then Rock 'N Rollercoaster. Unless that's not what you were confused about. If not you'll need to be more specific. :flower:

You go girl! Your kids must be so proud of you!!! :flower:

HA! See my tag ...

We rode GBS over and over and over at MNSSHP last year. My DD LOVED it! I screamed like a banshee the entire ride - I was SO scared! And I swear at some point I saw a part of someone's Halloween costume on the track. I thought we were going to de-rail!

I am NOT a thrill seeker at all. DD wanted to do RNRC but there was no way I was going on that (DH didn't either but he did take her on TOT twice). She says I have to go on TOT during our next trip. Guess that's the only good thing about not going back to WDW this year - I get a reprieve from TOT!

Sometimes at the end of the night when most people have left there is no wait to get on this ride. I remember once the attendant kept letting us ride over and over again until someone got in line. That wasn't the case this past Sunday. At 1:30 p.m. the sign stated that the line was 40 minutes long.

:cheer2: YEAH, Fantasia! :cheer2:

I think that's great! Sometimes it's the little things in life that really count, right?

Thanks guys. I knew one day I had to ride the GBS...and that day came. Yep, I felt sooo good. My children knows that I'm a chicken when it comes to any thrill rides. Yes, my children was sooo proud of me...Heck I'm proud of me too! ::pat on the back:: "Hoooraaay for Mommy!" It wasn't easy at first...but I knew I had to do it for my kids, well more for my son. Ha ha ha... what was funny was that I told my son that as soon as the Toon Town opens (9am) we are going straight to GBS before I get terribly nervous. All my son can say... "YES YES YES!!!"

We can arrange that. Though I'm not sure your stomach would be happy with you after the ride.
Ha ha ha.. I don't think I'll even make it to the ride once I'm drunk... I get really sick :faint:

Yes... these little things in life.. they do count! And the things we do for our children...

Great job! It takes courage to face your fears head on. Maybe I'll face ToT this time. You're an inspiration, Fantasia! :)

YEAH! I love barnstormer. One of my favorites! Can't wait to go on it again. My DH (big guy) nearly didn't fit! :rotfl:

Fantasia,
This may sound creepy, but I think I saw you and your kids at MGM. Maybe I'm crazy, but we were heading into the park (the week after Easter--it may have been Thursday) around 4:00 or so, and I thought I saw you and 2 kids running to catch a resort bus. I thought, "Whoa--I've seen that woman before---her picture is on the DIS." Am I crazy, or were you there??
Susan
