09/04 BOARDWALK VILLAS

We will be there at the end of May and I was wondering the same thing.

Thanks for posting the question.

Hi, we stayed there in December. The lounge opens every morning at 7am. At 6:30am, they do put a carafe of coffee out on one of the lobby tables. For breakfast serving I saw a variety of juices in the glass pitchers, coffee machine (available throughout the day) that made hot chocolate, lattes, etc., donuts, cold cereal, oatmeal packets, bagels, apples, banana's, assorted pastries. This was served from 7am-10:30am. From 11am-4pm they had soda's, iced tea, lemonade, goldfish crackers, gummy worms, nuts, assorted cookies and pudding packs. 5-7pm was the dinner serving which included a hot soup and hot appetizer dish. There was also cheese & crackers, sliced vegetables, uncrustable pb&j sandwiches, soda, iced tea, lemonade a few different wines and beers. From 8-10pm they had a tray of mini pastries, (others have reported a specialty cake each night, but for the 4 nights that we were there, we never saw that). Cordials such as Baileys and Kahluha were out. The lounge is only open while they are serving food. You can ask them for a cold drink, but you cannot go and sit inside whenever you'd like. Also, I found the lounge to be quite small, with very limited seating. There is a small balcony with 1 or 2 tables, but it does overlook the parking lot.

It was nice, but I probably would not opt to stay here again. My only other Disney concierge experience is with the GF. Their lounge is much larger, open all the time, had an additional afternoon tea serving and IMO was just nicer.

I will have to say that the pre-planning staff at the Epcot resorts are the best that I've ever worked with and the proximity to both the Epcot and MGM parks was excellent. I'd like to try Boardwalk the next time, as I think their lounge is a better setup.
