XXI Olympic Winter Olympics Games Thread

Davis and White were GREAT!!!! Loved their routine... now waiting for the scores

It is a crime against humanity that NBC didn't show the USA - Canada hockey game on NBC prime time. No wonder people in this country don't like hockey... they aren't given a chance to see it! Geeze! If that game won't get you into hockey, what will? I do like that there are no commercials during the periods on MSNBC and USA network.

I dunno about y'all.. but whoever invented DVR should get some kind of nobel prize... We cannot watch NBC's coverage of the olympics live. We start watching it about an hour after it starts and blow through the commercials and boring interviews. :thumbsup2

I was actually happy they didn't show it on NBC and turned off NBC this afternoon when the hockey game was on :rolleyes1 I like when they show the events that are usually only televised rarely - bobsled for example.

Maybe on the east coast - but here on the west coast, I would be pissed if I had to wait for prime time to watch that game. Hockey is about the only thing we get live (other than curling) over here.

Well, I meant they should have aired it LIVE on NBC, not hidden it on MSNBC.

I think that poster just meant that it should have been on NBC instead of MSNBC... I don't think he/she meant that it should be on at a different time.

What a GAME!!! Things were starting to look a little dicey in the 2nd, but they stuck it out. I'm really excited for the rest of the tournament.

I got that you meant on NBC. But nothing has been aired live on NBC here on the west coast and that wouldn't have changed for hockey. So I prefer to keep it on USA, MSNBC, whatever means I can actually watch it live.

Wow! I loved the US ice dancer's, Davis and White's, "indian-folk' routine. So fun!

I agree, I thought it was really great. I have to say that the Russian pair's "aboriginal" number didn't do anything for me. I thought it was boring and not even close to being an authentic representation of any sort of aboriginal dance I've ever seen. At least with the US ice dancers, you could see the influence of the Indian music and hand positions and things. The Russians reminded me of a bad cartoon with the caveman dragging his bride around by her hair!

Belbin and Agosto were a little...how do I put it..."less than".

What were they thinking? I think they'll regret that choice for the rest of their lives. Even if they medal, I highly doubt it will be gold.

USA played Russia in the semi-finals, not the finals.
