Woo Hoo! I just saw that in replays. She was way ahead of the pack! I was wondering why she was racing alone when the second place rider came into frame.

Why do they score the moguls after each racer if 25% of the score is based on speed? So one skier is much faster than a skier 5 racers ago yet they both get 25% because the person 5 skiers ago was the fastest at that point? Seems unfair- they should wait until everyone has gone.

Oh my, that French skater had a great short program! Good for him! I love it when athletes rise to the occasion and go all out and perform their best.

Hey, what is up with the gloves though? 2nd skater on and he is wearing gloves too.

Yeah, Plushenko looked good! It is hard to believe that he took 3 1/2 years off and started training only 11 months ago.

Oh, always love seeing Dick Button. He just cracks me up. I just love hearing "one line zingers" that come out of his mouth....LOL

I think it was last Olympics that he struck me as sounding kind of angry when people made mistakes, like he personally wanted to storm the ice and knock some sense into 'em. It made me laugh, at any rate.

The swiss's routine was beautiful. His foot work and spinning were wonderful. He definatly should have scored higher then 86.

It's typical Johnny though...he definitely marches to his own beat! I thought he was really under-scored, he skated really well.

Why is it sleazy? I admit I dont like it but mostly cause I don't understand it at all. I said upthread that I miss that perfect 6.0.

Ooof...Jeremy Abbot stunk up the ice. but Evan...WOW. Plushenko is going down. Lysacek all the way baby!

I don't know about sleazy, but at times I thought it was a little inconsistent. I thought Weir's scores should have been a little higher, but maybe they took off points because of his outfit

I personally thought Lysocek was better, technical wise (his jumps were cleaner) than Plushenko, but I guess the quad got a better score than a triple.

Can't wait to see the longer program!
