This is our first December trip.

Does anyone every bring Christmas decorations for their balcony or in their room window? Something with small lights maybe? I think this would be so festive and make the room feel more like home during the holiday season.

I read a post about people buying trees from a florist, but I'm not looking for something that large (or costly).

I was told that the CM think it's great to decorate your room, but to call housekeeping and ask for an engineer to come check your lights before you hang them.

We will be there in December, too; a surprise for the kids! I can't wait!

We decorated our room for our Dec trip in 2000.
I brought one box of blue icicle lights for the window and mirror, a tiny tree from Wal-mart, garland, and mini ornaments for the tree.
The stuff was small and easy to pack and my kids just thought it was the coolest thing to come back to every night. It really put the Christmas feeling in the whole trip.
Just make sure you bring your our tape to hang the lights..I almost forgot that...;)
Our maid would make up scenes with the tree every night ..it was too cute. She would place the kids beanies around it, stuff like that.
Have a great trip! That was our absolute BEST vacation to WDW, I never want to go back at any other time now!

:D
