We are planning a multi generational trip for Xmas 2017. There will be 15 of us ranging from 2 to 80 years old.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where to eat on Xmas day ?

A little background, we will be staying on-site and this will be my family's 10th visit although the rest of our party will only have been once before and some have never been before.

Ideally we like to do a table service in the evening. We're not fussed about the style of food and we are certainly not expecting a traditional UK style menu.

TIA

Hi. The parks often close for capacity on Christmas Day so I think you might need to be in them early to guarantee getting in later in the evening with certainty. We ate at 1900 Park Fare on Christmas Day as we wanted a character meal due to the kids ages at the time. It was great fun and the lobby at the Grand Floridian was lovely. They had a band playing Christmas songs on the balcony and also a pianist downstairs when they weren't playing. We ate at Chef Mickey's on Christmas Eve and it was a zoo. Park Fare was much more 'on it' and just as busy. We were at Discovery Cove for the day so can't comment on lunch times in the parks on Christmas Day.

I think with the top level park closure, those with Dining Reservations can still get in :)

We normally eat in one of the hotels and have had Christmas dinner in the evening at the California Grill, Citrico's and YSH. We have gone into Epcot and eaten at both Teppan Edo and Le Cellier - Epcot on both occasions has been pretty quiet.

On Christmas Day we have eaten at CRT, but usually go to California Grill and book so we can enjoy the fireworks. Been to Citricos as well on Christmas Day but CG is our favourite and we normally have a more relaxing day playing mini golf and eating ice cream from beaches & cream.

Our first trip was over Christmas (a long long time ago) and we spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon and enjoyed Christmas day on the beach - we had food there and then just ate in the hotel in the evening (offsite) where we had a christmas meal.

The 2nd yr we went we planned to do a similar thing again but the weather was cooler so we went to Epcot and ate at the Mexican restaurant - we hadn't booked and just walked up and got a table about an hour later. We then enjoyed cakes from the French Pavilion later in the day. I enjoy puzzling people by telling them I spent Christmas Day in both Mexico and France on the same day

Just something to think about

Try eating Off site .Away from Disney. ...... but near by .

Take a cab to The Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center (( 15 min drive from Disney Springs )

600 W Osceola Parkway Kissimmee Fl 34746

( It is where the Ice Show is during November & December ...... just beyond the Disney Arch )

Here they have " All you can eat " Christmas Dinners ( Not cheap ) running all day

That would give your All age family a really good experience .

We did it a few years ago.

You DO have to Book in advance & turn up at the reservation time.

Phone no is 407 586 1114 gphvilladeflora & gaylordhotels.com

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I'm pleased to say I think I've managed to convince them that trying to go into MK is a no, no.

I like the idea of CG to watch the fireworks, if we can mange to snag an ADR, and as we've still got AGES of time to plan and replan we can change our ideas as many times as we want.
