Hi,
We will be at OKW for our first Disney Xmas.
Who else has been over xmas, whats it like. WE plan to take a small tree with us for decoration as we will be in a studio. I would love to hear from anyone else who decorated or could give me some ides. Also we plan to do Seaworld on Xmas eve and MK on xmas day. Are we mad??? Hoping to get PS for Xmas dinner in MK.I have been to WDW loads of times before so am not worried if we dont get to do loads of ride, just want to soak up the atmosphere thats all.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Sarah.

WDW at Christmas is beautiful, but it is the most crowded week of the year. MK is especially crowded that week. I was going to say the weather is usually great but you now live in Florida so that is not a factor for you. OKW should be a safe haven from the crowds. You might want to consider Olivia's for Christmas dinner. I did WDW at Christmas week once and once is enough for me. You have trouble walking in MK it is so crowded but as long as you do not mind not going on the attractions it should be fun. I did not stay at OKW when I was there for Christmas, but most places are well decorated for Christmas. You might want to take the mono-rail around and see GF at Christmas. Don't forget to tip big time when someone waits on you for dinner at Christmas!!:D

We were there Christmas 1996 and have been there right after xmas until Jan3 for the past 2 years(last year at Swan, others at OKW). Many folks at OKW have trees and lights on the patios and/or windows(we did both because we drive from Boston). Santa is in the living room at the main check-in on Christmas eve, and on Christmas day, we found a stocking filled with mickey lollipops on our door at OKW! All the parks are crowded, but MK especially. The decorations at all the parks and the resorts are wonderful (OKW included), but make sure to visit GF for the life size gingerbread house and WL for the firplace and holiday hot chocolate! We are returning this year to OKW for 12/26-12/31 so maybe we'll run into each other! It is a magical time! PS try to get a copy of the special that Travel Channel did this year on Christmas at WDW(Samantha Brown from Great Hotels) it really was great. We ate Christmas dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern -a real turkey dinner and colonial characters..very fun!

I will be in OKW for Christmas also (or in the Pop Century if I can't get something in OKW or another DVC resort after my DVC package closes).

A few years ago I was certain I would never do Disney during a holiday season. However, due to Kid's school schedules, and the desire to do Disney with kids, I ended up in DisneyLand for both The Christmas season, New years eve, and Spring Break.
New Years eve was really crowded, but it was also really fun.

I would not want my one and only trip, to WDW to fall during major crowds, but since I have been often enough, and am certain that I will return, I don't feel rushed to see everything.

I like the idea of lights. I like to add new themed lights to my collection each year. I will probably find something at WDW to purchase.
I might try to surprise my niece and nephews with a tree and presents on Christmas morning.
I would guess that I will be able to find a small tree, for sale, somewhere in down town Disney. I think I remember there being a Christmas store there.

I think it would be cool, if Disney rented little live trees, that they later planted.

Dh & I will be at SSR Christmas Day till New Year's Day this year. I have been to WDW many times and thought that this might be a great way to celebrate our DVC ownership.
We have two other trips planned, one early in May 2005 & one early in October 2005.
I think its going to be great fun, and we are ready for anything! Going to spend NYE in MK...Are we nuts or what!

Hope we all have a wonderful time!!
