haha. I think getting internet to everyone (for school, work from home, etc) is the first key. Then work on the speeds. Don't use "downloading games" as a necessary reason.

Well, it's for everything. Compared to other countries, we are well behind the curve.

The earlier game consoles played directly from disk. You could if you wanted install the game onto the hard drive. Installing would help with load times.

Today, the games are so massive, it's not possible to play from the disk so they have to be installed onto the hard drive. If not, it would stutter constantly as it loaded during game play.

That's always been the issue with discs - data access speeds are low. Even hard drives, while better have limitations. Moving to solid-state will make things massively faster!

OK. It's the damned expectation of immediate gratification. I have Madden 2021, NHL 2020 and Disney Pixar Rush. I got this to get my mind off things and got frustrated that I had to wait so long

But, I have to start being more positive... Madden is great, NHL is OK, Disney, ummm. And no, I'm not what anyone would consider a "gamer."

Disney Pixar Rush was really disappointing. Rather than just have more levels, it required playing each levels 4 to 5 times unlocking a new mission/objective or two each time and on top of that, the achievements are glitchy and not allowing someone to unlock more than 1 achievement at once.

Best to get greatest hit or game of the year editions. Then, you update less frequently and play more.

OMG sorry!!! Probably saw 1S and thought it said DS!! I read too fast!!! I was going to suggest downloading Fortnite!! (It’s free unless you want to buy skins or extras for your player - buying something will not enhance your player, though.) I’m slightly obsessed with it. (my avatar is from the game). Shooter game, last one standing wins. Can play solo, duos or squads... there’s also a Battle Royale with two teams, last team standing wins. So much fun!! Microphone (headset) can be used to talk to your team, but not required to play. ☺

From what I’ve always understood, the ‘D’ is usually for ‘Dear’... so Dear Son or Dear Daughter... but I think Disney works here, too!

Generally on the message boards I've frequented, D = "dear"
DS = Dear Son
DD = Dear Daughter
DW = Dear Wife
DSiL = Dear Son in Law
DMiL = Dear Mother in Law

You get the picture. Now, Disney can work, but so can damn (let's see if that gets ****).
