I loved his specials. I remember really mourning when he and his wife broke up and then the whole scandal with her boyfriend dying. (I was in grade school at the time) My parents had several of his albums.

I've watched the PBS specials with all the clips the last several years too! I especially like when he sings with his brothers.

I remember them! I was really young, but they made an impression. I still remember sitting in a rocking chair in our living room with just the tree lit singing along with A John Gary Christmas...album. I guess that's been out of circulation years. Several years ago I asked about it at a music store and was told there's no way to get it. I still have Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians! My dad was a fan of them. And I remember my parents watching Lawrence Welk every Sunday night.

That's something! Only thing is I don't care for ebay. LOL! But thanks for that!! Now I have "Little Snowgirl" running through my head.
