Wyndham Orlando Resort

DH just found out he is going to a conference at the Wyndham. The reviews I've read are pretty bad. Anyone stay there recently and know if the rooms are truly as dirty and nasty as I've read?

well they weren't so dirty - but lacked light - not alot of outside light gets in - or it didn't our room.

we only stayed a couple of nights - got it on priceline.

what I disliked was the traffic.

the ID infront of this place stayed backed up. It was a big hassle going anywhere and I had a car.

to get rid of the bug in Florida - well you need to move out of Florida.

every place will have from time to time those nasty bugs - they live in Florida - worst they live outside in fl - so all the bug sprays in the world won't get rid of them. they don't live in the building - like they have to up North.

as long as people eat in their rooms the hotels will have a problem with these things.

they are also mixing it up with Wyndham Palace that was at Downtown DIsney. which is now Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa in the Walt Disney world.

We've stayed there before several times on Priceline stays and, while the rooms weren't perfectly clean, they weren't as bad as the reviews I was reading at the time. Perhaps we just got lucky? That said, however, we haven't been there since 2004 so maybe things have gotten much worse since then.

Hi,
We stayed at the Wyndham on our very 1st visit to Orlando and we really liked it. It was clean, friendly staff, good pools and a great location. Would stay here again no problem.
