My jeep wouldn't start last week, no problem with the battery or starter, it would do it randomly, I was able to drive it to the dealership on Saturday. They told me it was bad key and they also found some transmission issue. That was covered under warranty but the key of course was not. $325 for a new key with programming!
Talk about a budget buster! I picked it up Tuesday and Friday morning when I went to go to work, it would not start again. I had it towed and as the guy was putting it on the truck, he tried to start it and it did. I had him tow it anyway. The dealership called fri afternoon and said it was the ignition switchi had been was fixed and it was all set. That was under warranty as well. When I went to pick it up the service advisors were gone for the day but DH says we should get our money back for the key since that wasn't the issue. I don't see them doing that. Would you pursue or not?
