WWYD? offered free upgrade

DD and I will be there Aug30-Sep 3 but we did not get the email or offer. I booked directly through Disney. I called them today and was told they didn't know anything about it. He talked to his supervisor and told me that it was being done by the marketing dept and they could not help me. Ofcourse, I have looked at buying into DVC and staying at one of the rooms probably would have gotten me to buy. Oh well

O.k. I got someone who said I could upgrade but only till the 1st that I would loose my last two days or have to make a seperate res for those days with no dicount. She said it wouldn't even let her put it in until my old res had a check out of 9/1. This is begining to be a lot of hassle. I will call again and see what the next person says. For those who are staying past 9/1 did you have to split your stay?

We are staying 9/1 to 9/7.

If Id know about all the deals weve been getting along the way I would of booked longer! LOL

Free Dining...booked in April!
Best flight price ever...booked in May!!
Free upgrade to SSR ...June!

We have been so lucky. It scares me!

My pre trippy is like a fantasy! Everything is going our way. Thank you God.

I dont see why they would give free dining participants a free upgrade too?
Why not give that to someone that didnt get free dining?

At last I got a CM who did it for me. I am at SSR from 8/28-9/1 in a studio. She told me to keep checking back to see if a 1 bedroom opens up. If it does I can up grade at no extra charge. I am so excited and thanks to this site I was able to do this. I didn't even know about this until I read it here. My e-mail had went to my junk mail and I never check that. I also would have taken the first Cm's word and have not gotten my dinning. So thank you all so much I love this site. You all rock.

We're in!!! SSR 8/26-9/3 I'm part of a magical gathering group and the only one who got the code. They let us ALL upgrade

Anyone out there that hasn't upgraded yet but will and would like to help me We can be family, friends, neighbors or whatever it takes!

I received the email last night. When I called to book it last night they asked me to call back today.

Our email came to my dad and not to me, but since we are ALL booked under my name even though it's 3 rooms, I was able to use the code. BUT you have to be part of the party originally booked together, so for those asking to pretend to be part of the family, sorry but it just won't work. I actually had a hard time because of the email coming to my dad when all the reservations are under my name, but they eventually found the pin code since we all have the same last name. The email has a code on it that you must give them, and it must match the code they have in their system to prove you received the offer.

I did not receive an email. I was booked at ASMU 8/26-9/3. I decided at 8:00 pm to call and just see what they would say. The CM was very nice I could tell in his voice as soon as he answered that he would be helpful. I asked him if he could check to see if my email address was on my reservation. He checked and said that the code for the upgrade was attached. He checked to see what was available and I am now upgraded to SSR in a studio. I'm so glad I took the chance and called. I can't believe it...things like this never happen to me. If you think you might be eligable you might want to take a chance and call.

I just called and they said I was sent the e-mail offer so I then checked my e-mail junk mail and sure enough it was there.

Could they PLEASE check and see if I can get the free upgrade. At first he told me we could get CS but we have been there before and really did not like it. So I asked if we could get SS he checked and got us a Studio I then asked if there was anyway to get a one bedroom but he said no. It is only DD13 and I so really a studio is big enough but I may try calling back tomorrow to see if I can get the one bedroom. (DD has ADHD and MR - so we usually get 2 rooms or suites at other hotels to make bed time and breakfast easier on all of us).

I am not sure if I actually got the email and pin because I just deleted all my bulk mail with out looking at all 4500 I get each day. I just told him that I don't have my email but could they please check my reservation and see if I have a code attached. He did ask me a couple of times if I had my pin number but I just told him I did not and I had deleted all my bulk mail.
At first he offered me CS but I asked if he could check on SSR as we are really wanting to buy there and I would like to try it! It worked He was able to get us into SSR Studio room. It will only be DD13 and I so I am very happy with that room type. Good Luck and try again if the first person tells you no or they don't know what you are talking about (I had tried earlier in the day with no luck, it was my second call that brought success )

Our trip is from 8/26 - 9/3; we got upgraded to SSR, 1br for the full length of our stay...no splitting between resorts. Good Luck! Keep trying, different CM's tell you different things all the time.

That is what it looks like so far. We are checking in Aug 26th and I have been seeing that with others. I don't think I have seen any other dates during free dining being upgraded.
