Would just like to mention that I managed to change from a studio at SSR to a 1 bed villa at OKW. Called yesterday and the CM was very helpful. Even more excited. 30 days to go.

Good for you. So much for "cancelled rooms don't go back to the special". It's very sporatic. I seem to be the only one with the SSR upgrade to a one bedroom, so far. Unless they are freeing a room or 2 a day. Did you call in the morning?

I called them between 9:30 - 10:30am florida time (I am in the UK so its lunch time for us then). I must have called just a the right moment as I called at the end of last week and there was nothing available.

This is going to be a vacation to remember!!! No budget vacation this year. My dream was to spend the night in Cinderella's Castle (still is)but I feel like I am living a dream.

We are there from 24/8 - 9/9 (we have 2 nights at ASMov before moving to OKW). I am currently looking through hundreds of pages of Dis info on OKW to try and figure out what kind of room request I want to make.

What luck A,L,&M !!! DSIL called a couple of different times yesterday and there were no 1 bdrms available...so this truly does seem to be the luck of the draw.

Have any of us actually received the MYW documents yet? We received both sets of ME luggage tags last week -- so here's hoping for some suprises in the mail any day now!

I do feel lucky - was happy with a studio at SSR but the extra room is going to be so great (more places to put my shopping - as I am from the UK things are so much cheaper in the US, practically half price )

The only thing I have received from Disney is a letter confirming payment. Should I be expecting anything from them ? I just presumed that as long as I had my reservation number that I could go and just check in and they would then give me all the info I needed re passes and free dining.

If anybody knows different, please let us know.

As I understand it, the OKW 1BV has only ONE bed and a sleeper sofa, correct? We're currently upgraded to a studio, and I'm THRILLED to have that! But I want two beds - don't really want to deal with a sleeper sofa. If there's two beds, then I might try to get an upgrade too!

I read posts that the sofa beds at these resorts are unlike other sofa beds and is no different than a real queen size bed. There was a 6'+ large man who said he was very comfortable and he was picky about beds.

OKW has 2 beds in their studio. SSR has a pull out and queen bed.

The studio and the 1bdrm both sleep four comfortably, but the main difference is the size of the units and the 1bdrm will have a jacuzzi tub, washer and dryer inside the unit, and a full-size kitchen vs. a studio which has free access to the laundry areas by the pools, a dorm-sized refrigerator and no stove (but does have a microwave/coffeemaker/toaster). The cooking facilities really didn't matter to me since we have DDP -- but we're going to be a WDW for 12 days so I really wanted the convenience of being able to do laundry in the room.

Yes, you will get a packet with actual vouchers for all the 2007 package entitlements, and if I remember correctly, a nice plastic luggage ID tag.

Yes, they were vouchers...the one for Planet Hollywood had a barcode of some kind that I am assuming they would scan at the register. Here's what I was wondering about -- we wanted to use the PH voucher in the days prior to our OKW stay, I wonder if somehow the barcode cannot be activated until after the actual check-in date. I really see no reason why we would need to use it during the effective dates of our free DDP.
