We've seen cirque before and LOVED it -- but the 16th is our only night when we'll be in MK (other than when at the Halloween parties - and Hallowishes will be going on then, not HEA). so while our room has a TPV, we'll be missing the projection part of HEA. Soooo which would you choose?

And right now, the only dessert party is the Plaza view which we're not overwhelmed by -- so I've been trying and hopeful a terrace one will open up.

I am going to do the dessert party. I thought I had read somewhere that with the new projections show, the plaza view is better, but I have not read any reviews comparing the two. We will be doing it in November and my thought is that because of the parties, HEA is going to be more crowded because on the limited nights it is available.

If I had to choose myself then HEA Dessert Party! I also just read someone say they really enjoyed the Plaza view.

I booked the Plaza Garden view. I have read several reviews that state the view is better from there. I have been to the Terrace party before and I was not that thrilled with the side view of the castle. I would rather be right up in front.
As for which I would do cirque or the dessert party, hmm that is a tough one because I like cirque and I like the fireworks show at MK. I have not seen HEA but loved Wishes.

We did the HEA dessert party Monday night with the Terrace view and we were not thrilled with the side view of the castle. There are a lot of trees and poles blocking your view of the projections. We watched them from the garden in front of Casey's on Wednesday and had a MUCH better view. It was like we were seeing a completely different show. We've decided that we will book Plaza garden view for HEA from now on.

In fairness, I have never seen Cirque. But I absolutely loved the in-park viewing experience for HEA from the Plaza Dessert Party viewing area when I did it a few weeks ago. It's really an incredible show from in the park, in my humble opinion, so I would vote not to miss it - with or without a dessert party. I've been watching some YouTube videos of the show and realizing just how much I missed in the moment, so I can't wait to go back and do it again. There are certain segments where there's just a TON going on visually, hard to keep up!

I'm biased to the Plaza Viewing area vs. the Tomorrowland Terrace version as well so agree with the PPs. The "straight on" view was important for Wishes, and even more important now, arguably. But with the Terrace version, you do get a seat/chair, it's not crowded at all, and it's covered in case it rains - so those are pluses. The angle from there is this biggest 'issue' for me.

Whatever you decide, have fun!

OT but thanks for this post. This is the first review I've seen of the Terrace view since HEA started - I've been curious just how much those low trees block the bottom castle projections. Sounds like quite a bit. Thanks again.

Thanks all - DH feels the seating part is what's drawing him to the terrace view. Esp in September where it's not only horribly hot and humid but rainy. He also feels we can get the same plaza view just on the other side and with an hour or so leadway for a good spot and save the $$

I think Cirque is closing at the end of the year, if that affects your decision.
