I decided today that I'm giving myself 3 glorious days alone at Disney. I'm going to get a room at one of the resorts (probably a moderate) and I'm going to spend 3 days and nights doing whatever I please (if DH wants to join me he can but he will have to stick to my schedule or leave me alone LOL).

Ok so where would you go? What attractions would you not miss? What resturants would you eat at?

I'm so used to going to Disney with a little one in toe that I have no clue how to do it alone as an adult even though I've talked about doing it, I've never just done it LOL

I would go on every ride that I couldn't go on with the little one. (don't know how old little one is) Then I would eat at all the nicer resturants that I wouldn't normally do. I know this is a general response, but that's how I think I would do it. Find the things that you would not normally do with the little one. Maybe take in one of the tours, or Cirque, visit one of the night clubs. Go to the spa!!!!! Relax by the quite pool. Just a few things!!! :flower3:

I forgot about the tours, that would be so cool. oo a spa day hmmm

Thanks for the ideas

You're welcome. Just take it all in and take your time. Relax!!!! Heck if you want sit on a park bench and people watch!!!! I know you only have 3 days but...just have fun. If I think of anything else I'll let you know. :flower3:

Arriving noontime 3/24 - after checking in at Pop heading over to MGM, late lunch AR at PrimeTime
3/25 - KTTK tour, EpCot, AR where?
3/26 - checkout of Pop, check into VWL - AK, may get AR for Kona

a little time (6hrs or so) at each park but then Mon a friend and her daughter join me till Friday

I would spend alot of time exploring World Showcase. I would go in all of the little shops that little ones (and some DH's) don't like to do. I also like the idea of going to one of the spas for a treatment or two.

Have a great trip!!

I would eat at the restaurants that I will never experience with my meat & potatoes family. :earsboy:

Me TOO!!! I would pick a restaurant that my family would hate (probably in China or France)

I'd also do "WWTBAM" about 10 times straight! Or at least until I make the leader board top ten!!!

I'd also really, truly explore EPCOT's futureworld, something my kids say would be boring (I've attempted it once...but once we did the 'thrill' rides they were begging for MGM)

I'd also take the time to go to Fantasmic and Illuminations extremely early to get the best seat I possibly could...something else my kids would never sit and wait for so we've always had 'so-so' or terrible views!

Oh, and I'd totally enjoy having control of the tv remote while enjoying my down time in the room!!!

The Segway tour at Epcot is wonderful and so is Keys to the Kingdom at MK. If you really want to splurge, but it does take the entire day, do the Backstage Magic tour which takes you to Epcot, MK and MGM.

I am laughing because you finally have some time alone to do what you want...and you are here asking what you should do!

I'd love to have a trip like that. Whatever you do, make sure you have a great time!

First, I'd suggest you check out the "adults and solos" board. Lots of us do the same thing-I take a yearly solo trip. DH knows I need it to reenergize/de-stress myself. We don't really talk about it to others beforehand, because I've gotten so many offers of "Tell me the next time you go. I'd love to go, and that way you wouldn't have to [!] go alone".
And I love the suggestion of the WS shops. I always love to wander from shop to shop on my own.

I did a solo trip last Dec...it was really funny not having any of my family around. But, I got over that really quickly!!! My suggestions would be to do all those attractions that the family either can't do or doesn't like to do, but you like to do. Maybe a few tours. I'm going to do that myself next Dec. But the thing I found to be the best thing was that I didn't have to have a schedule. It was me, myself and I....I ate when I wanted, took potty breaks when I wanted, relaxed at the resort when I wanted...stopped in those little shops when I wanted. You get the picture. Take your time and hang loose....be ready to jump on any opportunities that might come your way, that you hadn't planned on.

I would do some tours, eat places I can't with my kids, and shop, shop, shop in every store there is!!! :) Have fun!

I have just exactly that scenario coming up! I plan to spend a day at Epcot exploring every nook and cranny of WS; I am going to explore every nook and cranny of MK including Main Street USA, and split a day between AK and MGM. I have done all the rides, so I want to focus more on the "minor" stuff. Non-ride things and a few of my favorite rides. I am so excited. I have never been solo before and I plan to take advantage of every minute!

You are going to have a great time. I had a blast when I did WDW alone. It was probably the best time I ever had- especially in EPCOT. Have an AWESOME time.

I'd stand on a bench in front of Cinderella's Castle and Yell LOUDLY... Non Non Non Na Na in a teasing voice to make people JEALOUS OF ME! :rotfl2: No, just joking. I'd enjoy much more of just relaxing a looking at all of the sweet things like the topiaries around etc. and just taking it all in. I'd also make sure to see every park at night, as this holds a special place in my heart. Even though I don't like MGM that much, getting to walk through the main area at night was breath-taking for me. Enjoy your self :sunny:

Aww so cool!!! This is a dream of mine too! I wanna go by myself!!
My kids (teens) pretty much do the park themselves, so it's usually DH and I...but...
If I were alone, I would shop til' I couldn't carry anymore stuff. People watch.
Eat at each pastry shop, sit down restaurants, explore everything I could in Epcot. (DH has no patience for all the 'shops', nooks and crannys)
Have photos taken of JUST ME all over the place and wear my ears proudly!!

I am soooo jealous! ::yes::
Have a blast!! Fill us in when you get back!! I'm so excited for you! :earsgirl: :hyper2:

You've got the perfect plan. Just remember-you can always have your purchases sent back. More room in your arms to buy more! I'd say you're all set. Just convince DH you NEED to go (Hey, my DH knows this is my "mental health" trip every year).
