WW Weekly Weigh-in

hi WW buddies - i'm been absent on this thread, i hit the booking date for our cruise for excursions, palo, spa, etc and i've been all about the cruise board this week! LOL anyhow, i read just this last page - Sunny you crack me up too! it's good to read though that there are others like me who have bad bad days!

my WI this morning showed me down about 1.5 lbs - i'll take it! i hope it's real and not water. i dont' really feel like i've "lost" yet; but i dont' feel quite as puffy either. i'll be thinking of you all and our WI thread this weekend, several outings planned
 
I weighed in last night, instead of my normal Tuesday night. I really, really, REALLY thought I had lost last week. But I gained .4! Darn!

I was trying to kick start my body again, since I lose so slowly. I have been hanging around the mid-150s for weeks! I went down to 20 pts. per day last week, even though I have a few lbs. to go for that level. I am going to stick with the 20 pts. again this week - maybe my body just needs another week? I don't know. Also, it's been very humid here lately and I know that can affect weight (retaining water). I should really increase my water (more than the recommended amount) to combat that, I think.

P.S. I just thought of something I wanted to ask you guys: Is it weird that I go to different meetings all the time? I usually go Tuesday nights, 5pm or 6:30pm. If hubby is working Tuesdays (no way I can bring DS2!), I go Weds. at 5:15pm. Is that totally weird?
 
I'm so glad to find this board. This is my first night on the board! September 2003 my family visited Disney and loved it; however, when I looked at the pictures I cried! Not because I missed it, but how I looked. I joined a gym and started to walk, well by April 2004 I lost maybe 5 lbs. I knew it was time to do something. I walked in a WW center April 28, 2004 and changed my life, to date I have lost 35.5 lbs. :cheer2: February 2005 my husband gave me a card, in it, it read, to my Cinderella, let's go to Disney, we need some skinny pictures! :love: I wanted to be at my goal weight by my trip time (Sept 23), I'm 10 lbs away; however, for the last two weeks I have gained. I have seem to lose my will power, I'm not watching or writing down my meals. I know that I need to get off my bottom and do something about it! I'm hoping this board will encourage me to get back on track! By the way does anyone have point vaules for Disney meals? :)

Hi Kristi! No, I don't think that's weird. I think I've heard of people going to daily meetings, just to get different leader perspectives, etc., and to keep their motiviation up, and sometimes just for socializing. Nothing wrong with that at all, in fact you're entitled to it with each paid week I believe.
 

Thanks Kim! It's just that I seem to see the same "cliques" at each meeting I go to. I feel like I am the only wanderer sometimes. I've been going weekly for 10 months and I still don't really know anyone, even at the 5pm Tuesday meeting I hit most often.

NCState - Your story sounds a bit like mine - I've lost about 49 or so pounds and kept it off all but about 7 or 8 of that. I lost my motivation last February and have not been able to get back on the wagon to lose that 7 or 8 and another 10 or so. And you live near me too! (I'm in the Triangle area)

Hi all! I didn't WI last week because it was TOM and pointless, even my fingers were retaining water! I will WI tomorrow and then in the afternoon we leave for our awesome trip to CA and the 2 week Panama Canal cruise on the DIsney Magic. I am going to try really hard not to gain on this trip. It will be hard with 2 weeks on the ship, but I am walking leader for our group, just so I would have to walk every morning.

Went yesterday to WI and really thought I'd gained due to TOM but I was down 2.6. I'm so excited.
 
Well, I haven't been on here in a long time. About 3 weeks ago, I finally stepped on the scale. Although I had made it to lifetime and my goal of 141. I didn't keep it off. I am now 40 pounds from there (more than that three weeks ago) :guilty: . I have now reagained my motivation to lose again and although I won't have it all off by the time I go to Disney in 5 1/2 weeks, I will be healthier and in much better shape to walk around :teeth: . I have lost 10.6 lbs in the three weeks back on plan and am trying to drink all my water. I hope that I can lose another 10 by the time we leave on the 22nd of September. Hubby and I have also started walking again in our neighborhood.

Hi Guys --

Looking for a little support/motivation. Last month, I made a promise to myself that I'd start going to WW meetings (for the 4th time) on Aug. 20. Now, I have to admit -- I'm scared. I know I'm the heaviest I've ever been and getting on the scale is absolutely terrifying. I don't want to chicken out -- I do want to do this, but it's really scary.

How did you guys get past that intial :earseek: "yikes" :earseek: moment?

I made Lifetime!!!!!

And I didn't even have to shave my head :rotfl2:

I lost 8 lbs this week. But that's a bit sneaky because I ate nothing but protein and veggies for the past 3 days just to make sure I didn't have any extra water weight. Plus I ran 7 miles this AM to sweat out whatever was left :teeth: I weighed in 1.8 lbs below goal. Phew.

Now I need to be more consistent and sensible to stay here. A line has been drawn. I will not cross over it again!!!!!

You're all the best! I couldn't wait to get back to my desk to share with you :grouphug:

I WI, no change, but I did lose a little more that my goal for this upcoming trip, so I am happy.

Way to go!!! I am so stinkin' proud of you. You've worked so hard, especially the past couple of months and you've reached your goal. I wish I had the kind of discipline that you have and hopefully one day soon, I'll be celebrating right with you. :teeth: I can't believe you lost 8 pounds in 1 week. If I could do that, I'd be at goal in no time ;) What exactly did you eat? I've been doing lots of veggies on the Core, but maybe still getting too many carbs?? Do tell :goodvibes
 
I've not posted in quite a while, and I'm not even sure I want to look back - but this week, I started recording what I'm eating again. I'd started working out a couple of weeks ago too. I'm on the road at least one or two days a week so its tough, but I even take my sneakers w/ me to the hotels - they all have gyms these days!! I've already lost 3 lbs from my "high" weight last week, and my clothes (size 12 dress pants) are fitting MUCH better! :cool1:
