WW Weekly Weigh-in

Welcome Taekwondo Mom & Melanie C!

I weighed in tonight, but couldn't stay for the meeting since DH got called in to work and all my sitters/family are away on vacation this week. Anyway, I am happy to report being down 1.4 tonight! I have been losing really, really slowly, so this is a good week for me. And with Christmas Eve & Christmas to boot - honestly, I did not follow plan those days either!

I am bummed my weight loss is going soooo slow. I joined mid-October and I am only down about 11 lbs. total. Kinda stinks, ya know? I am around the weight I was at when I got pregnant with DS (but still overweight). Dh wants to start trying for another baby, but I really want to wait until I lose at least a little bit more. But then again, I am not getting any younger and need to start trying soon if this is ever going to happen. Ugh!

Hi Taekwondo Mom Welcome!!! Great job on losing those 52 pounds! I'm sure those 7 pounds will easy after that.

Kristi - Congratulations on your 1.4 pounds. I know it seems like such a long time losing the weight, but they say you have a better chance of keeping it off if it comes off slowly.

Oops! I must not have updated my clippie correctly, all I wanted to say is I lost another pound this week and got a new clippie.

Happy New Year fellow WWs!!

I stayed the same this week, which is fine on maintenance, and considering we had Christmas again on Saturday with my inlaws. I planned some points just for indulgences! YUM!!

How's everyone else doing?

:flower1:

Well I went ahead and joined, so I weighed in for the first time today. I went to the store for 'good' food and hopefully next week I will have a lose to report.

Welcome Taekwondo Mom and Melissa!!!

I was disappointed today. Today was supposed to be our first Official WW meeting of the new session (I do WW at work) but instead it was a registration meeting and NEXT week will be our first. We did get to "unofficially" WI and I was down 3.0 lbs since my last WW WI on Dec 20th. Yahoooo! That puts me at 3.8 lbs away from the 50 lb magnet. That will be my next mini-goal. We also found out we will have a new leader. That made me sad, as I really liked our leader but the new one seems nice, too.

Kim-- great job at maintenance! How do you do it? Do you play with your points each week to get it right? I don't know anything about maintenance. I've heard it is very hard.

Thanks Sundie! I haven't played with anything so far. They told me to add back in 4 points a day, and monitor my progress. So far, I stayed the same the 1st week, lost 2 lbs the next, and stayed the same this week. Of course I'd prefer to keep losing like that middle week, but over the holidays just staying the same was FINE by me! I think one more week and I'll decide whether to lower my points again, to try and lose a few more. ;)

Well today IS a good day... just got home from my WI at WW and I'm down 3.8 pounds!!! I lost the 1.8 I gained PLUS 2 more pounds :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

So that puts me at a total loss of 31.6 pounds :cool1: :cool1:

I tried changing my clippie, but can't get it to work.... guess I'll work on that later.

Now just 3.4 more pounds and I'll be at the 35 :D

Hi everyone,

Still not officially going back until after the marathon but I am down to 152.6 today. The scale really hadn't budged at all since I started back on track 1 1/2 weeks ago. I also walked a 10 mile walk last week a few days after I started being OP again. I think that long walk made me retain some water. Sunday I'll be doing the marathon so I'll probably retain some fluid again. I look forward to coming back next Wednesday and being able to officially be back on track with no upcoming distractions.

Hope everyone is doing well now that the new year is here.

I weighed in tonight and lost 1.2 lbs.! My total is now 12.4 lbs. in 12 weeks. I was really bad this past weekend too - chinese food, wine, cheese & crackers, etc. I really thought this was not going to be a good weigh-in.

I am still disappointed that this is going so slow for me, but at least it is going! And in the right direction. I know I need to add exercise, but it really is so hard with an 18 mos. old. Esp. since hubby & I work opposite shifts so we can be home with him. I love walking, but it's real hard to push a stroller in slush and snow. I know, I know - enough with the excuses already and walk the mall or something! It's a new year and even if I stay and this pace, I should reach lifetime during the summer!

Great job Tera!!! :cheer2:

I just bought an electronic Weight Watchers scale at Meijers today. I know I should just wait until my official weigh in each week, but I do like to check myself during the week. The reason I like this WW scale was that it gives you your weight with the tenths (000.0) just like at WW. I am hoping I can see that little tenth number move some!

This is my second day on WW and I did feel hungrier today, but I am hanging in there. I want to hit that 5 pounds lost in January goal!

DJ

Hi DJ - Try not to weight yourself too much during the week, just so you don't get discourged.

WW is a great program, I've been on it for 20 weeks now and am doing well. When you feel hungry and you don't have the points, try and drink more water. Earning AP helps so you have extra points for snacking to get you through.

Hang in there and Good Luck!

Alright so I missed my journaling start day but I'm journaling food and will try to calculate points too next week. :) It helps its a start to get towards counting points. I'm hoping in a couple months to be caught up and get another 1-2 kids to watch in my home daycare so I can start having extra money again. Otherwise may have to go back work outside home if I can find high enough paying job to cover daycare. :(

I rejoined WW today. I had joined late Jan 2003, lost 35 lbs(no where near goal) then stress happened, MIL died, my mom broke a hip and I travelled 10 hrs each way for weeks until she died, then between travel for my DS gymnastics and life in general, I could NOT stick with the plan...

So, I'm starting over - At least I kept off 13.2 lbs - probably more as I weighed wearing heavy shoes, pants top and have a leg bandaged from being burned on 12/26 with boiling water.

I can't exercise due to my leg, but I CAN stay on plan! Getting up the motivation to go each week is the hard part.

I will be checking in frequently as I need all the support I can get - don't get it from DH or my kids.

I have another niece getting married 7/2 in FL, so would LOVE to make it to the wedding considerably skinnier. Plus need to lose to be healthy.

Thanks
original start 198.8/ restart 185.6/ goal <145

Welcome Julie!

This is a great board to help keep you motivated! I find myself coming to this thread in particular every Tuesday night after my weigh-in to post my results for the week. Just like WW makes me accountable, so does this thread in a way.

Keep up the good work and will look fabulous for that wedding!
Kristi

Ack i counted points today. And yuck. I had had Taco Bell for lunch and let me say it was already my low end range. Its no wonder I haven't lost this pregnancy weight. Eating like that. though it seems I do good something I'm missing in the overall picture. Wow its an eye opener. :earseek:
