WW Weekly Weigh-in

Thanks for the great encouragement! I am trying really hard not to stress about it, but I want make this a life change for me! I want to know that I can forgo some sweets most of the time. So, I want to really stay in some sort of control at WDW. Believe it or not, we have not owned a scale for YEARS until about 3 months ago, when I finally decided I had to know. So, I have no idea if I normally gain at WDW, or not... (stupid, huh?)...

But, I will take your words of wisdom and try to work with them. It is amazing how much walking and swimming we do down there and if we skip the buffets (except BOMA - no way I could miss that!), hopefully, it will be good in the end.

I will try to think healthy and walk my head off! I, too, would be happy to just not gain!

Happy Holidays!

Welcome Melissa, I think you'll love this thread-- everyone is so nice around here :)

KimRaye-- Great job at maintaining! That is no easy task, I certainly have never mastered it in the past. I'm hoping I'll get it this time around.

I went to a local WW center for WI today (usually do WW at work but we don't start up again until Jan 3rd). I'm happy to report a 2 lb loss! I was up yesterday as a result of some cookie problems on Sunday :guilty: so I'm glad I got to do my official WI today.

Ok, my happiness over weighing in Friday and having a loss after WDW is over. I weighed in last night (normal class) and was up 1.6!!! How the heck I gained that since Friday night, I have no idea. Maybe it's a Disney-backlash?!

If I look at it as I am up only .4 since before vacation, I guess it doesn't seem so bad. I am just going to be doing some serious journaling this week, as always, and see what happens.

ARGH!!!

Hi Kristi,
That is frustrating! I remember people in my WW class saying after Thanksgiving that the scale sometimes takes a week to catch up. But even so, a .4 gain over vacation is totally acceptable! You will probably see another good loss next week to even things out. Keep the faith :)

I would like to join. I stopped my point while on my cruise last month and need to be a part of some team spirit to get back in the swing of things. My hardest thing is doing the exercise. I power walk to work and back (actually the parking garage) It take about 15 minutes each way. I try to power walk every where I go in the building as well. I though if I join so there is some accountability and support, I would do better. I am in a wedding in Sept 05 and do not want to look like this. :guilty:

Welcome Faireygod_mother!!!! This is a great thread for support and "team spirit". You'll fit right in :)

Sounds like you have a great start to an exercise program. Keep up the good work!

Oh my, what did I do? Do you see the previous post aligned all strangley? Or is it just me? I don't know how that happened!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement plutosmyfav!

Welcome faireygod mother! This board is great motivation - I always log on on my weigh-in night - more accountability!

Well, I am working tomorrow (3:30-11:30am) then off to have my family's Christmas dinner/celebration. I am going to eat the veggie soup all day at work tomorrow to offset dinner as much as I can. That plan worked well for me on Thanksgiving. We'll see...

Okay tomorrow I'm gonna start journaling again. Mostly concentrate on getting it all wrote down then concentrate on staying in points range.

Also writing up my exercise routine plan today that will start tomorrow as well. :)

It is my goal to get healthy in 2005. :) :Pinkbounc

Good news, I lost 2 lbs this week! :cool1: Bad news, I COULD claim the 75 lb clippie
75.jpg
(cool looking, huh?), but I hate to get rid of the Goal clippie. :sad1: What to do? :confused3

Have a Happy and SAFE New Year everyone!!!

Wow Kim... they both look great on you :earboy2: Decisions decisions :smooth: I think I'd go with the 75 (such a pretty color :earboy2: ) and if you don't like it, switch it back

Hey, why don't you put both????

I'm afraid the clippie police might eradicate ALL my stuff. :guilty: :scared: I think I'm already over. :worried: ( I really like the BLUE though!) ::yes::

Lemme try something.........;)

This is the thread I think I need to join. I am going to start following WW on Monday. I am a Lifetime member, but I have really hit an all time high on my weight and I just can't stand it anymore.

I know the program, and I want to try doing it on my own because the weekly fees will cut into my Disney Vacation money (but if I am not able to handle it on my own, I might go in once in a while--nice part of being lifetime, you only pay for the weeks you go in).

I have about 60 pounds I need to lose, and I know it will take a long time. I am usually on the cruise and DVC boards, so I am new over here. I have twin DDs age 11 and I am a stay at home mom.

I have a big family weekend this weekend, so that is why I am waiting until Monday to start. After this weekend I won't have company/visitors for at least 3 months, so by then I should be on a good track.

Anyway, I wanted to join your thread as a "Weight Watcher", but I am going to try following program without going to the meetings.

Does anyone know if the program is going to change in 2005? I have the 2004 program.

Thanks!
DJ

Hi DJ and Welcome! I think all of us will be starting fresh on Monday, including myself.

As of today, I'm up 1.8 pounds, but still at a total loss of 27.8 pounds. Was very disappointed that it was that much. I would have been okay with just a pound, but that was almost 2 :guilty: I also wanted to be at 30 pounds by the end of the year and under 180, which both of those I failed :guilty: :guilty: This will make me work harder this week... I'll enjoy New Year's Eve and then right back at it on Saturday!

Hey guys,
I think I will jump in here and join you guys. I'm getting serious again after I gained 20 pounds after making my lifetime status in June last year. I feel like such a looser for gaining them. My clothes are getting tight because I bought all new clothes last year so I coulnd't go back. It really forces you to watch when all your clothes are getting snug.

I should go back and do weekly meetings too. That is where I had all my success but I am sort of ashamed because I was so gung ho and I exercised consistantly and I swore I wouldn't let this happen. I'm afraid to see my leader because I feel like a failure.

So, I'm back on track this week. I have one obstacle this week. and I'm not sure how it will work out. Friday night (New Years Eve) we are going with Friends to an Italian restaurant that serves family style. She has it in her head that she wants all these super fattening thing and it doesn't look like there is much on the menu that is low fat. I don't plan on drinking since the marathon is the following week.

I'm saving all my flex points for that meal. I will be really dilligent and not spend any extra points. I will also get up and do an 8 or 10 mile walk so I will get a few points from that. Hopefully I can end the week with a loss.

Hi Melanie and Welcome!

We were just talking about coming to meetings after you've reached your goal. There were several ladies there that had reached goal or lifetime and now are back because they hadn't been going to meetings and put some weight back on. I think going to your weekly is important, even when you get to lifetime. Even if you go every other week would probably be okay, but heard many say they were going only once a month and put the weight on quicker.

Good luck with getting back to lifetime
