WW Weekly Weigh-in

Awesome job Sundie!!! It's hard when someone tells you to slow down on your weight loss.

My weight in was today and I'm down .6 pounds for a total of 24.4 pounds. I WILL have that 25 pound clippie next week (just hope I can post it)

Well, I was down only .6 this week. I finally did make it to a total of 10.2 lbs. though! I really wanted to reach 12.2 (smaller goal) by tonight since we leave for Disney on Thursday, but hey - 10 is not too shabby. I am just bummed it took me 2 weeks of sticking to plan and using only 5-10 flex pts. per week to lose one stinkin' pound! And it took 7 weeks of being pretty darn perfect to plan to lose 10.2 - but I guess that averages to that 1-2 pound loss per week.

I tried to put in my new clippie and messed it up somehow. Time for bed, I'll fix it tomorrow.

Anyone have ideas for kind of sticking to WW while in WDW? I know the walking will help, but I want to try to be kinda good...

Oh another thing - when I was at my endocrinologist appt. a few weeks back - he told me to eat less pts. per day - maybe shave 2 more off. He thinks WW gives you too many pts. - to keep you around longer & keep getting your $$$. Hmmmm...

Hi Kristi -

Hey, 10 pounds in 7 weeks isn't too shabby at all. Drink lots and lots of water this week and maybe you can get down one more pound.

I found that once I stopped counting my AP with my weight watcher program, I dropped weight more quickly. I tried reducing my points by 2 also (I'm at 24 and dropped to 22 points), but I didn't think I needed to since I wasn't using my AP. I also use my 35 flex points very VERY rarely (Thanksgiving or a special night out :earboy2: )

I haven't been to WDW or any other vacation for that matter since joining WW, so I have no advice for that. Just watch your portions and drink LOTS of water.

Good Luck and have a great time :cool1:

Your Dr. may be absolutely right, but the 1-2 lb loss is designed to help you keep it off, so with WW maybe allowing you more points per day/week, I think it helps us all to never feel 'starved', because that's no way to live! ;)

I am SO NOT an example though. I use ALL my daily's, ALL my APs, and ALL or more than my Flex allows, and I keep losing. :confused3 I'm NOT complaining though! :cool1: 1/2 lb to my original goal (might change when I get there) ;)

Congrats on the loss, too!!! EVERY loss IS a loss!! ::yes::

Thanks for the encouragement!

I just get so bummed out that this is going sooooo slow. I think my doctor is on track with losing a couple more pts. than WW recommends. As an endocrinologist he specialized in metabolism, growth hormone, thyroid, etc. I don't think he'd recommend losing additional points that lightly (not that anyone meant that). I am at 22 pts. now, I think I might drop it down to 20 when I return from WDW.

Not to mention I haven't done any exercising yet! Even walking. Very hard to do when DH & I work opposite shifts and we have a 17 mo. old around. I know, excuses, excuses!

10.2 lbs is 1/4 of the way to my final goal. When you look at it like that, it's much better! :D

Keep up the great work you guys while I am away in WDW! :earboy2: I am thinking Dole Whips are the lesser of two evils (versus Mickey bars), hmmm...

What's "AP" - am I just being dense since it is so early? Allotted points?

Kristi

Kim- Your so lucky :earboy2: I think you have to shake up your program sometimes, especially if you get into a rut. They say you need to do that to fake out your metabolism.

Kristi - Try some workout tapes at home if you can't get away. I'm lucky enough that my kids are older and I head to the gym once I drop them off at school. I bet if you can get some kind of workout in, you'll see better results.

I did go out and buy 2 of the Leslie Sansone DVDs that I saw recommended on this board - I just haven't used them yet! I will work at that as soon as we get back from vacation.

And, I think I will drop those 2 pts. my doc. recommended. He may have suggested it since my hypothyroid caused alot of my weight gain in the first place - not a terribly bad lifestyle, or whatever. My sleep deprivation is yet another obstacle for me. I hope to get at least 8 hours a night at WDW. I usually get about 5 at home - not good for my metabolism!

Thanks again and I will check-in when I get back from the World!

Kristi - Drop the 2 points and see if it works for you.

Have a great time at WDW and give us an update when you get home.

Kristi

AP stands for "Activity Points". WW lets you add points to your daily allotment as a trade for exercise. Do you have the Activity Points slider? If not, a lot of people just figure 1 point per 100 calories burned in exercise. BUT you cannot "bank" them, if you earn APs you have to use them the same day or lose them.

Just back from WI. I was down 1.8 lbs this week. My instructor told me I would be "suspended" if I continued the "over 2 lbs per week" loss! That would just be my luck, kicked out of WW for losing too much! But I'm pretty sure my bod has slowed its pace naturally so I don't think I'll get the boot :p

Wow - kicked out of WW :earseek: :earseek: That's a first... I would like they would be happy with the 1.8 pounds??

Yes she was happy with the 1.8, what she said was "every week I see you coming and hope your loss is under 2 lbs because if you keep up at this rate you could actually be suspended"!

Wow! That's a first. Hell, I don't want you to stop what your doing, but geez, who wants to get kicked out of WW :earseek:

WOW! I agree, I've never heard of such a thing. I can see their position, but to suspend you? That just doesn't seem right, and defeats their intent, but what do I know?

Heck, I'm here hanging my head in shame this week. :guilty: I didn't even think I had a 'bad week', just kinda normal really. Well, normal gained me a pound. :( I'm not too worried, except for the Challenge, which I'm now OVER by 1/2 lb, but this isn't what I'd hope for before C'mas and BDs this month. At least I didn't lose my clippie. :D

Best WISHes to everyone this week! :sunny:

I know you must feel really discouraged but there is just no way that pound is "real"! You so close to goal that your body is probably doing some big time adjusting. Don't let it ruin your day/week. I'm sure it will be gone (plus) by next WI.

Wow, no one has ever heard of WW suspension? I never heard of it either. I hope my instructor knows what she's saying. My only guess is they don't want the liability of someone dropping dead from abusive dieting (that CERTAINLY isn't me!).

Keep plugging and chugging everyone :)

Sundie

Well today was WI and I'm down 1.8 pounds for a total of 26.2 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I wish they would get the boards fixed so I could claim my 25 pound clippie :earboy2:

CONGRATULATIONS TERESA!!!!!!

Did you get your 25 lb magnet? Yippeeeeeeeee :cheer2: :flower:

Thank you Pluto! I did get it and thanks for reminding me to take it out of my WW bag and show it PROUDLY on my refrigerator. I wish I could get the clippie changed and my tracker moved :guilty: I can't wait to get to 30 pounds!!! :jumping4: :Pinkbounc
