Went to WW yesterday and had my week #2 weigh-in and lost another -3.2
That totals 5.6 after 2 weeks.
I'm very happy and hope I stay motivated!
Good luck to everyone! :goodvibes

Had my WI on Wed and I was -2!!! I really was shocked since I had a lot of treats and beer on Sunday...I was just positive I would have a gain. So....my total loss is 20 lbs!!! Yahooo!!!!!:cool1: I went shopping today and bought some new shorts that actually fit me! All my other shorts are really hanging on me! It is such a "foreign" feeling to have loose clothes!! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! :wave2:

I haven't been posting lately but I have been faithfully reading the thread. It's so helpful to me to know I am not in this alone. I am down 67 pounds since joining WW in Sept. Of course I wish it was more! I know the support of the DIS WISH board has kept me on track. I'm going to start posting more often again but I'm off to WDW and on the Wonder next week. I'm bringing my sneakers and ipod and hoping to get some exercise in on the days I'm not walking all over the place!

tiggerlover: I had ice cream last night (a rarity) and have felt sick all day. I feel your pain. As always, you are so motivating and encouraging to us all!

disneymac: Sorry for your loss. Congrats on sticking with your weight loss plan!

KJo719: Sounds like you're on the right track. Stay focused!

mikamah: Glad to see you're back. Hang in there. This is a journey!

Andrea_loves_Disney: Enjoy the new clothes! You deserve them!

JennSaint, Jlawall, DisneyPrncess, goofyisinphilly, VernRDH: Congrats!

Here's some pixiedust: to get everyone through the week-end!

Dear all

I just joined the Disboard last week and have been busy reading up on DFTW stuff - we are getting married in December.

Shortly before I got engaged I joined WW (mid Jan) and have lost 43lbs so far. My goal is 75 before the wedding then more after the honeymoon and into 2008.

I am really looking forward to reading everyone's posts and being able to support and encourage each other because my COMPLETELY WONDERFUL leader just got a promotion and won't be around anymore. I'm totally worried and way freaked out  but I have to keep this up for me and because if not, I won't be fitting into my wedding dress :sad2:

Have a great week everyone!!
Kim

Haven't posted for awhile been busy trying to organize myself for going back to school full time in september and trying to plan our disney trip. We leave Aug 17th:cool1:

Anyway I started my journey april 25th and have since lost 15 lbs. Not alot but still losing slowly. When I started I went shopping for our trip for shorts and nothing fit. My pants are a 12 or a 14, and now I can proudly say I bought a size 12 shorts so happy they fit but since had to return them for a 10 and then and 8!!! :woohoo: :dance3: So now my tight jeans at a size 12 are not tight anymore and I have size 8 and 9 shorts!!!!

I would like to lose about 15 more lbs but what a difference in how i feel. I am also trying to quit smoking, so we will see. The last few days I have only been smoking a few a day, but want to be smoke free by the time I go to Disney. DOnt want to waste my trip worrying about smoking. SO we will see how that goes:rolleyes1

Congrats to all of you who are doing so well. It's been slow for me but as long as I keep losing I am good. I don't want to gain on our trip.

Stephanie

Well I am back. I haven't posted here in qutie some time since I haven't been following WW for a while. Had a bad foot infection that required some procedures and such so I had stopped walking. Then I started dating my current BF and we got so comfortable that we both started putting on weight. And the fact that he thinks I perfect and don't need to change doesn't help. But we both realized that we have gained and want to lose now. Mostly for health reasons and to feel better. And looking good is just a bonus.

So I am back now. Gonna dust off my treadmill and get walking like I used to. And I plan to re join WW this week and get some accountablity going. I was doing so well for so long. But now I almost gained it all back. Its quite sad actually.

But I now have someone who wants to do it with me. Although he won't join and go to meetings, he wants to be there for me and do what I do.

Hopefully I will be able to post losses sooner than later. And hoping to post progress more than anything.

Good luck to everyone!

disneymac, sorry for your loss. :hugs: It is always hard to do anything, much less to eat healthy when there is stress in your life. It does sound like you have done well so far and that is great.

I understand about the expense of WW, I've been there a few times myself. I did find, for me anyway, that I needed (and still do) need the meetings. The thing for me was focusing on goal so I didn't have to pay anymore. But of course you have to do what your budget dictates. Whatever you decide, good luck in your quest.

--------------------------------------

KJo719, I understand what you are saying and it is so easy for us to beat ourselves up over our mistakes. What is most important is to say it is water under the bridge and start new right there and then. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!
--------------------------------------

mikamah, I am SO HAPPY to see you posting once again!!!! Thank you, as always for your encouragement. And yes, it is a new day and all is well. How's the journaling going?
--------------------------------------

JennSaint, congrats on your two-week weight loss, that is great!!! You got your first 5lb star.....woohoo!
--------------------------------------

Andrea_loves_Disney, aren't those unexpected losses just the best!!! Great for you and 20 pounds gone, FANTASTIC!!!
--------------------------------------

KATHINOWA, I am so glad to see you back again too! And :cool1: AWESOME, 67 ponds lost!!!!:cool1: I have lost 65 pounds total and I know how much that is, you should be so very, very proud of what you have done so far.
---------------------------------------

M-C-K-Y-M-S, :welcome: to WISH and CONGRATS on your upcoming wedding and your weight loss to date. You have so much to be celebrating!!! If you haven't guessed it yet, WISH is a great place to come for support and encouragement. I look forward to having you contribute to our wonderful group.
---------------------------------------

brighteyes, the more the merrier. Congrats on your weight loss to date. I am here to tell you, slow and steady wins the race, just keep on doing what you are doing and you will persevere.
---------------------------------------

Stacerita, I am so happy to see you back again too! I am glad that you have someone to do this with, best of luck on your continued journey. I look forward to seeing you around again.

Not much new to report here, just keeping on with my journey. I am still exercising, still trying to eat healthy with the occasional lapse, but that is life, right. I have my monthly weigh in this week and imagine that there is no change from last month or a slight gain, but I think I am still at goal which is great. Will keep you posted.

Hope everyone is having a great week! Onward and downward!!!

Hi all! I went to WI tonight (I usually go on Wed morning, but I am working tomorrow) and my weight was the same as last week! I know that's not bad, and I'm trying not to over analyze it but.....last week I was surprised with a 2 lb loss. Yay! So I worked my butt off this week ...ate really well, walked 3 miles every day (except one) and I guess I thought I'd have at least a small loss! It is my TOM and I had my WI in the evening instead of morning... Do you think that is enough to make the difference? I am trying not to obsess about what the scale says, but it's hard. Anyway, that's my scoop! I guess I should look on the bright side, at least it wasn't a gain!!! :goodvibes

I was up 2.4 today at weighin. Not unexpectedly. I haven't stayed within my points for weeks. I start out in the morning pretty well, and by afternoon, the journal is forgotten, and so are the points. Some days I'm ok with it and think it's summer, and we gotta have ice cream, and Mikes Hard lemonade, but after weighin today, I know I need to stop and really get myself under control, and plan for those summertime splurges. I have written every bite down today, and that's a first for this whole month. Tomorrow begins August, and I am going to stay on track and journal everything for the next 4 weeks. I really want to lose these 5 pounds I've gained back before my vacation in 4 weeks. I've done it before and I can do it again.

Andrea_loves_Disney- Your weight definitely can fluctuate by 2-3 pounds over the course of a day. I always weigh more in the afternoon than the morning, so I'm sure you would have been down if you had gone in the am. Plus TOM can do it too. Keep up the awesome work, and you'll see a loss next week.

tiggerlover- Kudos to you for keeping at goal. It is a forever journey, and one day we all will join you in the at goal club!!!

Stacerita- It's great to see you back. Sorry about your foot- doesn't sound like fun. Congrats on the new man. It's a journey and we all have our ups and downs. That's great that your BF will be joining you with your weight loss. good luck.

brighteyes- congrtulations on your loss to date and the new clothes. That's always a great feeling when the clothes get too big and we can buy new ones.

M-C-K-Y-M-S- Welcome and congratulations on your awesome loss to date, and your upcoming wedding. How wonderful to have a disney wedding.:cloud9:

KATHINOWA- Congratulations on 67 pounds!!!! That's awesome. :cool1: Have a wonderful vacation.

JennSaint- Congrats to you on your great loss!!!! You're off to a fantastic start!!

Good luck to everyone. We can do it!!!

Don't fret staying the same, even though it is frustrating to see, it wasn't a gain. Time of day, the clothes you wear the sodium you consume 24 hours before weigh in ALL make a difference on your weight. TOM makes a difference, a lot of exercise (turning fat to muscle) makes a difference, water consumption (or lack of) makes a difference. Everything we do effects our weigh in's. Don't get discouraged, continue to do what you are doing and the scale will move.

We can do it!!!

Mik, sorry to hear that you had a gain, but it sounds like you know why and just what you need to do. You know, it is okay to have a treat every now and then, but the most important thing is to BE ACCOUNTABLE, write it down or use those flex or exercise points, but account for what you eat so that you can enjoy the treat, guilt free and still stay on track. Something that has worked for me this summer because I love ice cream and DS loves the summer treat, I go to Cold Stone and get his favorite and then I hit the McDonald's drive thru and get myself one of their 49 cent cones and it not only saves me some money, but the yummy treat is only 3 points! The other day was a birthday at work and I wanted cake and lord knows it hurt using a big chunk of flex points, but I wanted it and I accounted for it. Like you said, it is a forever journey so you have to find something that works for you forever. And you are right, WE (YOU) can do this!

Had my August weigh in this morning and I gained back the .2 that I lost last month. I am still under goal so I am not worried about it in the least, after all, it is 2/10 of a pound!

Hope everyone is having a great week!!

OK, so I started back today at WW and I wasn't as bad as I thought I was going to be. Actually I was 8 pounds less than I thought. So that was a good thing. But Im starting from scratch again though. I'm pretty positive and pysched up about it. So far I did well today and stayed in my points. Even though I feel like I have a huge amount of points to use.

Just want to say thanks to Tiggerlover for all the words of encouragement that she gives to everyone time after time! You're the best motivator!

WI didn't go so well today! I met goal last week, so this was my first week on maintenance. I gained 1.8 pounds, but my leader said that almost EVERYONE gains the first week since now we are playing with points. I was not too discouraged because I was 1 pound under goal last week, so I am right within my 2 pound range for lifetime. It has been a tough week because my kids are out of town and I am eating out with my DH and my friends too. I am trying to limit myself to smaller portions and eating vegetables instead of fries and things. So, now I subtract 2 points for this week, and we will see how it goes. Wish me luck!!!:wizard:

Havent posted in a while. Life gets too busy for me in the summer.

Well ... Im down 2.2 this week!:cool1: My biggest week ever. Im short of goal by 6.3. Keeping on track losing the same weight I'll be doin just fine for vacation!:thumbsup2

Ann :yay:

Weighed in today at 178.4-down .8 from last week. Slow but steady. I would love to drop 1.5-2 lbs per week but I don't think that is realistic. Any loss is great. I had a bad weekend last weekend and TOTALLY blew all my points-and then some. But I felt it later (physically) and have decided to not do that again!!!

Keep up the good work everyone!!

:grouphug: Hang in there!! It is all about playing around with the points to see where it works best for you. When I made lifetime I found that I needed to stay on the same points as when I was losing instead of the points I was told I should use for maintenance. Be patient, play around with a point here and there and you will find what works for you. :grouphug:
