Hey all, I haven't been on for a few weeks, but I am excited to report that I hit my first 10 lb. lost..........   This was after hitting a wall a few weeks ago...........so it's encouraging to know you can beat those roadblocks.......best wishes to all!:thumbsup2

Well, went to WI last night. I usually go on Thursdays, but Aunt Flo will be visiting later in the week, so thought I would go on Monday instead. Am I glad I did! I reached Goal last night!!!! I was SO GLAD!!!!!!:) :) :) I had been stuck at the same weight(within 1 pound of goal) for the past 3-4 weeks. I was EXTREMELY frustrated, as you all know. I even was 1 pound UNDER goal, so lost 2 pounds this week. I have been walking more, and also doing Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. Must have done the trick!!! Had a dinner date with some of my friends last night, so had some french fries. I know that is bad, but I did good with the rest of the meal. Had 1/2 grilled fish sandwich and a house salad(they took off the croutons and bacon for me). Also had one beer, but that was it. Back on plan today, but now I get to add 4 points per day. We'll have to see how that goes. A little nervous about that because I don't want to gain my weight back!!!

Tiggerlover , great quote!! I like that one!!!

Hope everyone has a good week!!!! Keep smiling!!:wizard:

Weigh to go, Harvest!!!!

  GOAL:banana:

I am so happy for you, congratulations!!!

Tiggerlover - thanks for the encouraging words...you are always to kind to reply to so many WISHers!!! :goodvibes

I go to WI tomorrow and I am afraid it will not be a loss again...but that will be okay! I have to live my life and that sometimes involves eating some treats!! I am trying not to beat myself up over it!! Anyway, hope everyone is having a great week!!

I do it because others have done it for me and sticking with WISH helps keep me motivated. If I can help someone, even one person in any small way than I have served a purpose!!!

Good luck on your weigh in! You are so right, this is about living life, we are not always perfect, but as long as we make better choices most of the time and enjoy our treats every now and again we can be a success.

:cool1: Congratulations on your first 10 pounds gone!:cool1: Bumps in the road occur, what is important is to make it over those bumps and continue on the journey. WTG!!!

Wooohoo...down 7lbs!! I worked out yesterday on the elliptical for 60 minutes (longest time ever!) and burned 550 calories. yay!! :cool1:

Sorry, just feeling proud about my accomplishments- wanted to brag a little.

Hows everyone else doing....lets keep those numbers going down!!

That is fantastic....:) way to go!! It gives me hope that one day i will be able to say that! I do have a question for you/ and anyone else..do you use all of your flex points? I have been lately, even going over and i have lost virtually NOTHING in the last 4 weeks...perhaps that has something to with it?? WW gurus help me out! ;)

 In regards to flex points, I use them, usually every last one of them, but the thing I have found is that it makes a difference WHAT you use them on. If you are always using them on junk food or sweets you won't see as good of results if you are using them on fruits, whole grains, hummus, dairy, things like that. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my share of treats, but I find you really have to mix things up to see results. That and drinking plenty of water.

Hello everyone. I haven't been around much, but didn't realize it's been a full month since I last posted. I've skipped a couple weighins, and have sporadically been on program, so overall I've gained a total of 3 pounds. I'm still down 37.4, and still under 190#, and now I need to spend some time here on wish to start losing again.

MA pigletfan- I use all of my flex points most every week and if I don't go over the 35 I usually will see a loss. Exercise can definitely help boost the metabolism, and I do tend to lose more when I've eaten generally healthier foods, versus using all 35 flex points on junk, which I do some times. Hang in there and you will see a loss.

DisneyPrncess- Congratulations!!! 7 pounds is awesome, and 60 minutes on the elliptical is great!!!! :cool1:

jlawall-:woohoo: congratulations on your first 10 pounds!!!! That's a great milestone.

Andrea_loves_Disney- hope your weighin went well today. We all deserve our treats and splurges, and I've been having mine this summer too. For me, to gain a few pounds is ok as long as I don't give up and throw in the towel. Enjoy those treats, live our lives, and keep the healthy choices and thoughts always close by.

Harvest02- party: :wishgoal party: Congratulations on reaching goal!!!!!!! You are an inspiration to all of us here.

JennSaint- Congratulations on your loss and welcome back to wish!!! I too have lost with ww and gained it all back plus, but I am determined to keep it off this time, no matter how long it takes. Good luck!

Tiggerlover- Thank you for your neverending inspiration and support. It feels good to be back on wish, and I'm going to stay around. My meeting today was talking about negative thoughts, and I almost wrote hopefully I'll stay around, but need to be positive.

KJo719-Congratulations!! 35 pounds is awesome!!!! That clippie looks great on you!!:thumbsup2

Congratulations to everyone here on your losses, and if you've been gaining like me, congratulations too for sticking with it. We can do this so long as we hang in there and keep trying.
Have a great week everyone.

I went and weighed today...down another 1.2 lbs. :cool1: For a grand total of 8.2 lbs. Not sure how I managed this, last week wasn't very points friendly.

Our WDW trip is 1 month and 2 weeks from today. I would really like to lose another 10 lbs by then. Logically it is a reasonable goal, but knowing myself I might do better to hope for 6.

The motto for the week: Count the points, drink the water, hit the gym!

Well, I weighed in this morning and lost 1.4 lbs!!! for a total of 35.8 lbs!!! I am hoping that I can lose 7-8 more pounds before our WDW trip in 48 days!!!

Regarding the Flex points-I usually use all of them (sometimes more) but I try to add exercise if I am "splurging" on something. I am running 6x weeks and trying to do weights 4x, but our schedule currently is making the weight training hard to get to. But the running I am religious about, and I think that helps. And I drink tons of water. 3 bottles each day at work (16.9oz ones) and at least another 3 at home at night. That has been one of the harder things for me to do is the water. It can be so boring, but I am definately getting used to it and as long as it is cold, its okay.

Congrats Harvest on making goal!!! You are an inspiration to us all. It will be a while yet before I can say I've reached goal, but I will get there.

Keep up the good work everyone-it is great to read about everyones success!!!

DisneyPrincess-you go girl-60 minutes on the elliptical-you are a better woman than I. After 15 minutes, I am ready to quit, but I can run for an hour (go figure).

:cool1: Thanks for the great feedback on Flex Points everyone! i really appreciate it!! :)

I actually just canceled my paid monthy membership to WW yesterday, i just can't see paying the 40 dollars a month for something i know i can do on my own, as i have before...i just need to be more diligent with the working out/not going WAY over my flexies..and i should be ok :)

You are welcome! And you HAVE to stay around, no choice! ;)

I am sorry that you had a three pound gain, but you were kind of thinking you would see something since you weren't following program, it isn't the end. It is just time to get back to it. You have come so far already and you can continue to lose, I know you can. If you believe (and work for it), you can achieve!!

I look forward to seeing you posting again, I missed seeing you around!

Congratulations on your loss this week, great job! 10 pounds in 6 weeks is very doable, especially if you follow your weekly motto. Good luck.

Gosh, I ate WAY too much today and ate things I normally would not have and you know what?????? I didn't even enjoy it!! What was I thinking? Whatever the temporary lack in judgement was it is back on track first thing in the morning!!!

I guess this is one of those little bumps in the road! Tomorrow is a new day, right?!

Hi - I haven't checked in in a while - about a month I think. DMIL died just before we went on vacation, so life has been a little stressful and sad here lately.

I don't really remember where I was when I checked in here last, but last night I went to my meeting and I was down .2 lb. I'll take it as long as it's down! I have lost a total of 15.6 lbs and I'm very happy with that! I still have a long way to go, but I'm sticking with it and staying positive.

I have also thought about dropping my WW membership - sometimes $40 seems like a lot - but I really think the weekly meetings are helping me stay focused and positive about getting this done. So I'm thinking of it as a worthwhile investment in me.

I just want to thank you all for coming here and talking about your difficulties and successes - they also help me keep focused and positive. And this is a long hard journey so I need all the help I can get!

Congrats to all for sticking with it!!

An okay week this week- I stayed the same. I know exactly why and it's something I really need to work on. I didn't have a good weekend with keeping track of everything because we had a party on Sat. and on Sun., so for the rest of the week I had the mindset that I already blew it, so it doesn't matter what I eat. Now of course, I'm mad at myself because if I was able to maintain with not keeping track, if I had, I probably would have lost a pound or two. I do this all of the time and I really need to work on it. I have a wedding tomorrow and I already decided I'm going to let myself enjoy myself, but on Sun. I really have to get focused again. DH knows that I do this, so he said he's going to push me this week- hopefully that will help. Keep up the good work everyone and thank for all of the words of inspiration (esp. Tiggerlover- you're always so inspiring!).

It is a new day, and yesterday is done and gone, hopefully without guilt. We all have those slip ups and if you pick yourself up and start fresh no damage will be done. The kicker is you didn't even enjoy it. Why do we do this to ourselves? Hope things are better today.

Disneymac- I'm so sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. It's so hard to lose someone you are close to. It's so hard not to turn to food for comfort too. Good for you for coming back and getting on track. I know where you're coming from as far as the money for ww. For me, I've tried on my own, and stopped ww in the past, and always fail. I look at the money as an investment in my healthy future, and hope I can afford it as long as it takes to make goal. 15 pounds is awesome!!

KJo719- At my meeting this week the leader asked what is a good and bad loss, the bad loss was only a gain. A good loss was any loss or maintain. Celebrate that you splurged and didn't gain this week. Have fun at the wedding, and back on plan sunday and you'll see a loss next week.

VernRDH + goofyisinphilly - :cool1: congratulations on your losses. I'm jealous that you both have wdw trips planned. That's great motivation for you. Maybe I need to book a trip.

I've done ok the past few days, but haven't been journalling faithfully. I'm going to write all I've eaten today down right now, and commit to doing that for the next 3 days too.

Have a great weekend everyone.
