WW Weekly Weigh-in

My first weigh-in is on Wednesday am... sortta uneasy about it. I have no idea if Ive even lost on ounce!
Living off of the 20 points is tough. Not alot of wiggle room for the pionts. I dont want to use the extras because I have to go to Las Vegas this weekend... and I expect to use them there. Not that I want to use them, but expect to use them.
Any help/ advice?

Congratulations Luckywife and Mssldybug!!!! Both over a pound!! Way to go!

Bareacuda, Have you used any of your weekly 35 for this week? If I'm understanding correctly you are weighing in tomorrow? And so you will get the full 35 again then. I agree with saving for the weekend if you can. I'm at 22 points, I'm sure 20 is really hard. Have you tried looking for lower point foods that fill you? How about the Thomas' lite multigrain english muffins? They are 1 point. Or are you eating lite wheat bread instead of regular. 1 point for 2 slices. I love morningstar farm veggie burgers. 1 point and they have a lot of protein. I ate one today for lunch with some sauteed cabbage and mushrooms, in 1tsp olive oil. I prefer my veggies cooked. I also use egg whites or beaters instead of eggs. 1/2 the points and that way you get protein but not all the fat of the yolks.

Hmm, I'm trying to think of anything else.

Good luck! Don't give up!

Congratulations to everyone for their weight losses.

Today was weigh-in day; it was a good one. I lost 3.4 pounds!! :woohoo: I was surprised because I was very bad on Saturday night, although I was working frantically to be good until today. That makes a total of 13.6 pounds lost.

Keep at it, everyone. You can do it!!!

Thanks for the advice!
Yeah ... I weigh in tomorrow. I did use over my points the other night when I was out with the girls, but it was only 2 points.:thumbsup2

Sorry, I have been missing and haven't had a chance to read all the post. I have lost a total of 5.2 lbs in 6 weeks. That works for me.

Hope all is doing well. I will try to catch up later.

Congrats to all our losers, you all are doing a super job!!!

Baracuda, I agree 20 points are hard to do (I struggled at 21 so my leader moved me to 23, even though on paper I should eat less), but if you budget your 35 flex points it is doable. I rely on a lot of zero point veggies and 1 point foods, plus water to keep me full. Also, for me I find what I eat makes a difference, certain foods just hold you better than other foods.

OK... first weigh in.... and the results are in...

Lost 2 lbs!:cool1:

DD joined today also. Now we both have goals to meet. I also found out they are changing their cruise date to our first date!:cool1:

I feel like Im sortta getting the hang of the points thing now.

I"m up 1 pound today at weighin. I'm not surprised, with the easter candy I indulged in, and overall I haven't been eating too well lately. I just went to the grocery store, and loaded up on fruits and vegies, and I'm going to make chili tonight. I'm vowing to stay within my points for the next week. I've done it before, and I can do it again. I probably should have gained more weight this week, but I have been walking or biking 3-4 times a week. I am officially either old, or my exercise is now a habit, because I walked at the mall this morning, and was definitely the youngest one there.

Congratulations Daisy02- .6 is a great loss in my book. Those little losses all add up.:cool1:

drgnfly30-Whoo hoo!!! Great job!!!:thumbsup2

:wave2: tiggerlover. Glad you had a great vacation. Good luck this week.

Have a wondeful day everyone.

You'll do fine because you have the drive to do it :cool1: Keep it up and you'll get there! :goodvibes

Congratulations Daisy02!!! .6 is great!!!

Wow! Drgonfly!!! Congratulations as well!

Tiggerlover!! Welcome back! Glad you had a great time!

Mikamah, I'm sorry you had a gain. I went and stocked up this week on extra veggies and fruits too. Trying to change it up a bit for the week.

Has anyone tried the slim-a-bear mint chocolate chip ice cream cones? My friend was just telling me about them. She said they are great and only 3 points. I don't prefer mint, but for anyone that is looking for a special treat, maybe worth a try!!

Good luck everyone!!!

I am an ice cream lover and it is the one thing I will NOT give up LOL. I usually have a smart one desert, choc chip cookie dough sundea is the best and only 3 points! :cool1: WW just came out with pre-served cups too, I have them but havent dug in yet LOL. They also have a sundea cone too which I havent tried. I cant have too much of that around since DD will eat it and I will have none anyway LOL.

I'm on track this week, and have only used 7 flex points in the past 3 days. Work has been really busy, so I don't have that late morning down time to snack which is great. I've also walked twice, and decided not to use my APs to see if that will help boost my weight loss. We'll see.

Missmissy and fofinia- I too love ice cream. I've been buying Breyers double churned no sugar added vanilla and a half cup is only 1 point and it's pretty good. WW giant fudge bars are my other favorite, and they cost so much I won't eat more than one. I love mint. I'll look for those mint cones.

Bareacuda-Congratulations!!:cool1: Great start!! 20 points sounds tough. I get 26 and usually use most of my flex points. The flex points are part of the program and will help you get through those tough times when 20 points is not enough. I've found, if I stay within my daily points and use most or all of my FPs, I will lose weight. Have a great weekend.

SueRS- Congratulations!! 5 pounds is great!!:thumbsup2

Sandy V.-Whoo hoo!!!:cool1: Awesome loss! Even with one bad day, if you get right back on track you can still lose weight.

Msslaydbug- Congrats on your loss!!!!:woohoo: Water aerobics sounds fun. It's great to find an exercise that you enjoy. I dug out my old bike and rode last week and loved it. Now if the rain would stop I'll ride again.

luckywife-Congratulations!!!! 15 pounds is awesome!!! It's so great to hit those 5 pound milestones. :cheer2:

Thanks everyone for the support and inspiration. Have a great day!!

Thank you to everyone for the great breakfast suggestions!! I have tried a couple this week and so far so good. Despite being an old pro at WW it takes a few days to adjust to limitations. Not that it is so bad. I think being accountable for what I eat is a great thing, just weird. I find that by writing it all down in my journal I can also prepare better.

Congrats to everyone's successes this week! You inspire me to go on. For those who did not quite get what thay had hoped for just remember your determination will ( and has been) pay off.

I have my first weigh in this Saturday. I picked the wrong week to start with TOM arriving, but I will not let it get me down. I have stayed on point and only used a few FP so I will what I get and be happy.

Just a side question. I discovered that store bought rice pudding is only 2 points per 1/2 cup. Does this make sense?? It seems to be so sinfully good that it should be way more points. I love it so am happy with 2 pts for a great and filling snack, but I hope I am not doing something wrong. ANy thoughts??

That sounds reasonable to me. I know the Kozy Shack sugar free rice pudding is only 1 point.

Congratulations, that is fantastic!!!

So, I ate myself around WDW.......

....and I paid the price. I gained 4.4 pounds during my 9 day vacation.

Was thinking it was only 2 pounds, shocked to see it was over 4 pounds, but I am not kicking myself. I made the choices I made and will live with it (have no choice). Back to the drawing board for me, I have 5 weeks of maintenance to lose it so I have to get serious if I want that lifetime award.

The scale was even kinder to me than I thought tonight at WI....when I stepped on the scale in the AM, it showed I had lost 1 pound since last week. Much to my surprise, I went to WI tonight, and they tell me I lost 1.8!!!! Woo Hoo!!:cool1: :cool1: I will take it!!! I was really excited!! That is 7 pounds total for me! I upped my exercise this week, and also ate more of my flex points. Go figure!!!:confused3 I had been stuck at the same weight for 2 weeks, and they kept telling me to be patient. I don't have much to lose, so they said sometimes the body "plataus" because it is trying to adjust to the new weight and there is usually a drop a few weeks later if you keep following the program! So, if you are stuck, DON'T GIVE UP!!! Hang in there. I can speak from experience!! It is so worth it!!!:wizard:

Hi I just joined WW on wed. never done this before, I quit smoking in Jan and my butt and legs put on 13 pounds which will not go away no matter what I have done! So I joined :) In total I am aiming to lose 20 pounds to get back to the weight I was a few years ago.So far I really like WW I find it easy I only get 19 points which so far has been ok.I have used 2 flex points yesterday as I got MCD"S hehe for lunch and was 2 points shy for my dinner.Other then that I try not to use them If my points are all gone I eat air popped pop corn which a few cups with nothing on it is 0 points!Anyway hope it's ok that I join in I could use the support :)

Well, I just weighed in this morning. I haven't weighed in since 3/30! And I am up 3 pounds. I was shocked that it wasn't more actually. I ve had an infection on my foot and it required two procedures so I haven't worked out since 4/3. And my walking has been limited so I haven't moved much at all. And with not moving, others have been cooking for me or we've been eating out. So I have not only fallen off the wagon, I did a dive roll right off of it. But I went and weighed in today to get a grip and get back on track. Was surprised to see the gain was only 3 though. I plan to cut back and cut out the snacking. And hopefully in the next week or two I will be able to start working out again. We will see.

Good luck everyone!!!

Congratulations to the Losers this week!!! Sandy, SueRS, Bareacuda and Harvest!!!:cool1: You all did awesome!

Welcome Joann! I don't know if you like salad. But I really like the asian salad with grilled chicken from McD's. It's about 1/2 the point of the grilled chicken snack wrap and way more filling. So if I have to go there I try to get that. Good luck with your program!

Tiggerlover, Sorry to hear you are up!:grouphug: Could you still be holding fluid from all the salt? Are you going to stick to the maintenance points or go back to what you were eating and losing at before? Good luck! :cheer2:

Stacerita, welcome back! Sorry to hear about all your troubles with your foot. I hope you are back to normal soon!

:welcome: The more the merrier here!

I just wanted to offer some advice on your flex points. I highly recommend that you eat them, if not all of them, at least half of them. They give you flex points for a reason and as strange as it sounds by not eating them you can be doing your weight loss efforts a disservice. Your body needs fuel to burn calories and I know my leader has proved to several members time and time again that you should eat at least half of your flex.

Good luck!

Not sure if I am holding fluid or not, I just know it is time to get back to it. I am going back to my old points at least until I am back down again.

Stacerita, sorry about your gain, looks like we both are losing some gained pounds. Hope your procedures were a success and you are on the mend.
