Just back from WI and I am down 1 lb....again I am thrilled it wasn't a gain. On Friday night I was in that "eat everything in sight" mode. :sad2: I blindly ate 6 double stuff oreos...then calculated the points. Not good.:headache:

DizneeMommy...great job!! Maybe let yourself enjoy a couple pieces of candy then give the rest away!

gypsydoodlebug....can you exercise in the AM? My DH's job never has him home at the same time so I found that I needed to exercise in the morning before the kids get up. I got a treadmill so I don't need to worry about the weather or if DH is home or away etc.

Mermaid02...that's awesome!! I remember feeling the same way a couple weeks ago. I was sure I was going to see a gain but I was down 2.4 instead. Very motivational to keep going when you see numbers like that!

mikamah....you are doing a great job! Keep it up!

WDWLVR ....Keep up the good work!

Grumpy's Wife:welcome: I think you'll find a lot of great support here

tubachick....I hope you are able to get back on track...it is easy to get down sometimes isn't it? :grouphug:

I hope I didn't forget anyone....my apologies if I did. Have a great week everyone!

I haven't been posting on this thread - I have trouble keeping up with the really long ones so I usualy just don't read them. However - I officially started going to weight watchers meetings on 1/8 this year and I have a question that came up at my weigh in last night.

Have you ever had a time when you felt like the WW scale was off? I'm doing the BL4 challenge too that started on 1/1 so I weigh in on Tuesday mornings at home for that and then at my WW meeting that evening. Usually I weigh about 1 - 1.5 pounds more at my meeting weigh in. However last night I actually weighed .1 pound less so it ended up showing me at a 3 pound loss for the week instead of the 1.5 loss I got at home. Now I'm not complaining....I just don't want to end up with a gain somewhere because this is so weird I can't help but almost think the scale was wrong.

Anyone else ever have this happen?

yes, I posted about this same thing a couple weeks ago. I used to weigh myself at home on WI day and found that sometimes the WW scale showed me heavier than at home and other times found that the WW scale showed me lighter. I finally stopped weighing myself at home and just weigh in at my meetings now. I couldn't stand that not knowing which scale was "right".

Along this vein... does anyone else wear the same clothes to weigh in every week?? I've seen several people at our meeting that seem to do this.... so I hope I'm not insane.:rotfl:

that would be me!! :lmao: you should see the pants I wear to WI. Really baggy sweat pants that are too short, but they are the lightest weight pants I own, along with a tank top. I swear I would strip down naked if I could :rotfl: I can't wait until summer when I can wear shorts and a tank top and not look quite so foolish!

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOL

I wear the same pants, the same t shirt, the same DVC long sleeve t shirt and my fleece vest. Every week so far. Might this "other" shirt weigh a half pound more?!?!?!?!?!?

I don't wear the "same" thing....but I do wear my "light" jeans and the last couple of weeks a "light" sweater.....my DH was teasing me last week by asking if I was going to go "commando" to drop a few more ounces :rotfl:

I was getting frustrated with the numbers being different...but I was seeing pretty close to consistent "losses" - this week was just so different between the two it bothered me. I do think I will start going with my weight watchers weigh in only now that the two numbers are only .1 of a pound off from each other. I have the bad habit of weighing daily too which isn't good either.

There's one girl at our meeting who wears boxers under her sweatpants and a tank top under her sweatshirt and she strips to those to weigh in.... not a bad idea if you ask me..... :lmao:

That's so funny! I am not that bad, but I do try to wear something lighter for weigh in nights. No heavy sweaters or pants!!!:goodvibes

My first meeting went well. Of course I'm all excited to get started. I did really well for my first day and even walked two miles. Today I'll go to the grocery to buy lots of fruit and low point snack options.

That's what we did too- kind of a kitchen overhaul. Good luck this week!!

WI last night -- down 1 pound!!! :cheer2: I was worried because I didn't get to WI last week because of the storm, and lack of journaling...

but all the extra walking paid off!!!

:woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: Every pound counts!!!

As far as the dressing.... I don't wear the same thing, but lately I have noticed myslef picking out "lighter" clothing for WI days... I wore cords one week and gained .2!!! I swore it was the pants!!! :rotfl:

cepmom good job on the pound!!! I did the same thing with a brownie (and the points could have been a whole meal :rotfl: )

Grumpy's Wife Welcome and good eating

Hopefully next week I'll loose the .4 I have left till I can change my clippie to 10!!!

:rotfl: When I did WW and attended the Sat. meetings I wore the same thing every Sat. but, since I attend the "at-work" meetings I try to wear the same pants but, a different top. Don't know why it bothers me more that the people at work would notice I wear the same clothes. I loved hearing about the girl wearing the boxers & tank top under her sweats. :thumbsup2
I missed weigh in here at work yesterday so I'm going after work. I had a kinda nibbling weekend so not too sure how well I did.
My DS has been doing WW with me and he lost 3 lbs last week. I am so happy for him. :woohoo:

Hi Everybody, Happy Valentines Day to you all.

I am having a great week. Last October after returning from Disney, I of course wanted to start planning our next trip, my husband had other ideas. He said the dreaded words, "I think we should take a break from Disney... blah blah blah...

We wound up booking a different vacation. :sad2:

This past week my husband made the suggestion to go to Disney in June in addition to our other vacation!! I am so excited. We booked the trip that same day, I did not want to give him a minute to change his mind. We are leaving on the last day of school. Our children have a half day and our flight leaves at 4:40 that afternoon. We have two boys ages 5 and 9 and we are not telling them about the trip until we leave for the airport. This will be the first time I have ever kept a vacation a secret. I am the type who books a trip and then talks about it nonstop until we leave.

My other good news this week is my weigh in. I am down another 2.5 and so excited. I am so in the zone, it feels great after being out of the zone for so long. Being accountable for every bite of food I put in my mouth is really key for me..

I hope you all have a great day and week...

How exciting for your family WeCantWait! And congrats on the weight loss. :thumbsup2

I on the other hand stayed the same this week. :sad2: But, at least it wasn't a gain and will work on staying on track this week. Which will be a challenge since DS celebrates his 16th B'day this weekend.

 Hello everyone! It has been so long since I have posted, you have all written many pages, so many so I can't read them all. This thread sure picked up momentum with the new year!!! I hope this finds everyone well and I hope the program is working for you. My life has gotten far too busy with my physical therapy, work, home, exercise, etc., something had to give and it ended up being my computer time. I still think of you all and I am routing you all on in spirit.

I am coming up on my 9th month at lifetime and I am still holding steady. My physical therapist has asked me to give up Curves for a while so I have joined our local rec center and have been swimming and using the recumbant bike, both of which seem to be easier on my knees. Maybe changing things up will help me drop a couple of pounds under goal, I have been trying to no avail for 9 months, so maybe this is just what I need.

I wanted to comment about the scale and weiging in. For one I have always (and still do on my monthly weigh ins) wear the same clothes...it is the standing joke of my group! I have the original bike shorts and a t-shirt that I began in and when it is cold out I just throw on a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Anyway, you will always weigh differently at different times of the day. It depends what you have eaten or drank that day, your sodium intake and even the clothes that you are wearing. And of course different scales are calibrated differently. I know when I weigh in at home, my home scale will always be .4 more than the WW scale. I still weigh at home, but now that I know the difference I can figure out what my actual WW weigh in will be.

Congratulations to all of our losers!! Keep up the great work.

Well I lost 1 pound this week.....as long as its a loss its good!! I'm now halfway to goal....started 7/29/07 . I've got 41 pounds to go!!!!!

Well I just got back from weigh in. I have lost 3lbs. this week. I switched to Core, so maybe that helped. I am going to stay on Core and see how it works out. Congrats to everyone.

I started WW November 13, 2007 and Thursday night I hit 20lbs lost! Woooo!!!! :cool1:

Hey, Tink! Great job! I'm in Louisville. :thumbsup2

I weighed in today and lost 3 lbs. in my first week! I drank a pint of water early this morning :headache: so I know I probably would have weighed a lb. lighter but I completely forgot. I'm thrilled with 3, though!

I'm down .8 which I'm OK with due to V day - big trip to Great Wolf Lodge tonight - gotta love 24 hours of living in a swim suit! DBIL and DSIS are doing WW, too. We're carrying in food and hoping to gain activity points walking up the steps to the slides - might work if the lines are short, eh?

Anyway, happy president's day!
